Chapter 17:

Pythia POV:
As we walked around to the back I could feel the tension in the air, my own among it. My mother had told me that my uncle had died and I am really starting to question everything she told me. Did my father just up and walk away from us? What about my aunt? I mean for goddess sake did I have any other siblings? I needed answers and I needed them now. I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't realize we had already made it around back. "Please have a seat anywhere." Alley said sweetly. We all sat around a round table but I decided to sit on Tyes lap. His scent and presence keeps me calm and right now I really need it. My uncle has not changed a bit since I last saw him last. Still had his blonde hair and dark blue eyes, icy skin. He was a little taller than me but was always in shape. "I know you weren't expecting to see me, I have stayed away for some years now." Phil said nervously. "Why did you stay away? My mother told me you died." I replied flatly.
"Yeah I figured she would say something along those lines. Look I am going to drop a bunch of truth bombs on you tonight and then I will give you a few days to fully understand what I am telling you okay?" Phil replied with pleading eyes. I grabbed onto Tyes hand and took a deep breath. "Alright, I am listening." I replied. I felt Tye place his other hand around my waist, I am starting to get incredibly nervous. "Breath my beauty." Tye whispered in my head. I couldn't find it in me to replied. "First off obviously I am not dead and neither is your aunt. We stayed away after she threatened to kill us if we ever came back." Phil said with a small smile. I knew my mother had something to do with it. "Your father is not dead and he didn't just walk out on you. When you were younger your mother and father did not see eye to eye on things. Your mother wanted all the power she could get and your father just wanted a simple life." Phil stated. "So why did he leave then?" I asked in a rush.
"What all do you know about your father?" Phil asked. "Well not a lot. My mother didn't speak much about him or well any of you to be exact but I kept pictures so I wouldn't forget anyones face." I replied. A smile formed on his flawless skin. "Well I am glad you did. Your father is not a dark witch first off." Phil said. My eyes slowly went wide. "I'm sorry did you say her father isn't a dark witch?" Tye spoke out. "That is correct, he is in fact a white witch. Now let me explain before anyone asks anymore questions okay?" Phil said, looking around. My heart was beating out of my chest. Oh my goddess, how could this be possible? "You will learn that the grand elders are cruel individuals. Set in their old ways, they don't want peace. They want war to establish dominance. We intend to stop them." Phil said sternly. "Where is my father?" I asked. "He is sitting on the grand elders council." Phil said, leaving me stunned. "Excuse me? How is that possible? A white witch can't sit on the council." I said. "Well outside of this group and our other sister no one knows. You see, our family comes from a royal line of white witches, and I am sorry to be the one to spill the beans but we are your ancestors closest family friends." Phil said looking over at a very stunned Alley.
Hold up. My father comes from a royal line?! What the hell is happening?! "Our family needed to merge within the dark witches to bring peace to both. Your father being on the council is the first stepping stone. Your aunt will be next. Her coronation is in a few weeks and that will even the council." Phil said. Holy goddess my mind is racing right now. "Your mother found out that your father was in fact a white witch and cursed him, he nearly died so we faked his death and left. When we got word that you had killed her we knew it was time for you to know. Then the war happened. You have to know how proud we are of you for taking part in it." Phil said. I could feel tears starting to form in my eyes. My father is a white witch and he is alive. I stood a chance now even though it won't be easy but I had a new hope. "So I am mixed? Does that mean I can use white magic as well?" I asked. "Yes, you can not fully because your mother was a dark witch but you may tap in to some of it without any issues or death." Phil replied. I always wondered why they looked differently than the rest of us. Not even I fully look like the rest of them and I guess I finally got my answer.
So if my dad is alive and well why hasn't he come to me before my uncle did? "Why didn't any of you come and see me after my mothers death? Why wait so long?" I asked. "We wanted to believe me. Your father had to contain the elders when the war was happening as well as your aunt. They wanted to intervene but we would not let them. I watched you from afar and I knew this journey was one for you to go down alone. We needed to see where you stood with everything. What we did not expect was for you to meet your mate. Congratulations by the way on that and the child." He said, smiling at us. "Thank you, I wasn't expecting it either but I am glad I did." I replied smiling. "What does this mean for her? Should we expect a visit from her aunt or father?" Tye asked. "They are both trying to figure out when they can sneak away for a day or two but as soon as I know I will let you both know." Phil replied. "Okay so wait. You are a white witch. Your family was close to my ancestors?" Alley asked. Truthfully I am a little stuck on that too. This is all just so mind boggling. They merged the white and dark witches. They started this long before I did.
