Chapter 112:
Batholomew POV:
I didn't want to wait until the full moon to take Pythia, I had set everything in to motion after I got rid of those ridiculous elders. I still found it funny that they honestly thought they were stronger than any of us. Yes, they had their dark magic but that will only get them so far. Every time Lucinda would look in to check on her people I watched. Pythia was born to do great things and I needed someone as strong as she is to be at my side to rule over everyone. I still wasn't fully aware of what she is capable of so I have been sending my own troops to watch from the sidelines until Drago didn't come back. I assumed he got too close and she ultimately killed him. Not much of a loss, he was useless to me anyways. I found myself becoming more and more curious about her the more I heard about her. I knew she would get Delilah not that I was worried about that mutt of a wolf but I knew Delilah had a special set of powers I just didn't know what they were.
It wasn't reported back to me about her family, but I was told of a child that she carried around which I assumed was her son. I needed to make a point to somehow get my hands on him because if I do that then she would automatically do as I say to save her son but I wondered where his father was. "When are we leaving?" Justine asked. "When I say we leave." I snapped. "We can't just sit around here! What is your obsession with that bitch anyways?" Justine growled out. I jumped to my feet and grabbed her by the neck, "You will do as I say and never call your future queen a bitch again." I snarled. I watched her squirm to get out of my grasp. "Come on, let her go. She's just jealous that you aren't obsessed with her." Garner called out. I didn't care, it was the fact that she tried to get aggressive with me. "Gather everyone and get ready to leave. Should you ever try this again I will rip your limbs from your body." I growled before throwing her backwards.
She landed on her back and narrowed her eyes at me but she didn't say anything back. Instead she stood to her feet and stalked off. "You can be a real asshole, you know that?" Garner said. "I wouldn't have to be if you peasants would listen the first time I said something." I replied. "Don't get cross with me Bartholomew. We have all been locked away so chill out." Garner spat. He has always been my second in command and the only one I allowed to speak so freely to me. "What else have you found out about our lovely Pythia?" I asked. "That you are obsessed with someone that could easily put you in your place." Garner laughed, I growled in response not liking that he honestly thinks that. "She is very powerful. They haven't been doing much at all honestly, they don't seem to see us as a threat but I do know that Angie and Brent made it to her." Garner huffed.
Those two I will deal with when I see them. They honestly ran away like cowards thinking there was going to be a better life waiting for them. When I take over I will make it a personal goal to make their lives a living hell. "What happened?" I asked. "Delilah came out in full force but they took them in, she has been letting them stay at her house. She also lives with three other men and an omega." Garner said. "Three men? Any relation?" I asked. "Not that I could tell, they all leave at different times and get back at different times. Maybe they are guards?" Garner replied. "Possibly, she is a queen after all, we need to find out if she has a mate. Maybe there is something we are missing. What can you tell me about the men?" I asked. Now my curiosity has peaked, "Well one is definitely an alpha, the other two seem like warriors since they are always training." Garner replied.
She had to have a mate or maybe she can't because she is a witch and decided to be with one of them. "Anyone else with special abilities?" I asked. "No, they are all mixed together, the vampires and white witches live on the lands too." Garner asked. That was odd to me, the races hated each other. Why would they want to live together? "Lets go meet with everyone, we have some things that we need to go over." I said walking by him. Everyone started gathering and they were getting restless which I suppose is normal since we have all been trapped for centuries. "When we get there it is up to each of you to decide if you want to shift or not. We know they are gifted with elements but let me make one thing very clear. No one and I mean no one is to go after Pythia. She is mine do you all understand me?" I growled out. No one said a word as they lowered their heads.
I took a good look around, "I will kill anyone who tries it." I growled looking right at Justine. It wasn't hard to figure out what she was hoping to do. "Take out the alphas first then the betas. The others will be too weak to handle us when their leaders fall." Garner said beside me. "Don't underestimate the witches with elements either. Take them out as quickly as you can." I added. I didn't know how many of them had elements so it was better we target them first. "Let's get moving. Sunrise will be soon." I grumbled before turning and walking towards the woods. I stepped out further into the woods and took a deep breath. I needed to get Pythia and I knew she is a lot stronger than she let on. I made the decision to separate myself from my very own beast. At first it hurt but the more I practiced the easier it became. When I finished tearing myself from him he stood before me, "You will be my hidden secret Metz. Stay back and mask yourself." I said taking a good look at him.
The distance wasn’t all that far but we needed to move slower so we didn’t make as much noise. I knew there was a shield around the territories and Pythia would have to open it. She was smart to put one around to keep us out, that told me she actually cared for her people and that was something I never understood. She’s a queen for crying out loud. She can command and make people do her budding but yet she cares. When we arrived I held my hand up and looked over to Garner and Brinx. They shifted quietly before they started making their way towards the shield.
They pressed on the shield and nothing happened no matter how many times they did. A growl ripped through me as my patience was running thin. I stepped forward and I was looking around, “Pythia! It’s time to come out! I know you can hear me!” I roared as I pulled my fist back and connected with the shield. I glanced around to see the sun was starting to come up which meant we lost the element of surprise.
I kept looking around when my eyes found my future Queen and she didn’t disappoint. She looked like a true warrior in tight fitting clothes. Her hair was braided back and I could see the color of her eyes. I would like to make those eyes roll backwards from pleasure but I suppose that will have to wait. “You make a lot of noise, you know. You called me here. What do you want?” Pythia snapped. Her body was tense and I could tell she was angry. “You are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I am here to collect you.” I replied with a small smile.
Her face hardened at my words and I could see the anger in her eyes. “First off, that is gross. Secondly you can go fuck yourself seven ways to Sunday if you honestly believe I would go anywhere with you.” She seethed. I narrowed my eyes on her. So she’s a savage, that’ll come in handy. “Feisty little thing. I’ll keep that in mind.” I growled out. She didn’t say anything back and I felt like she was sizing me up. She was really considering fighting me and that amused me, “Open the shield and come with me.” I mused. “Now why would I open the shield? Your lap dogs would try to kill me the second they could.” She replied, crossing her arms over her perfectly curved chest. I would never allow them to touch her and it bothered me that she thought so low. “What if I promised they wouldn’t even get near you?” I asked.
“I’d still tell you to go fuck yourself. I belong here with my family and my people. Not a power hungry egotistical asshole. I’m giving you a chance to leave on your own and stay away from my family.” She replied, dropping her arm. She got in a defensive position and her words finally sunk in. She dared disrespect me?! Doesn’t she know who I am? Anger coursed through me as I looked at her. “Where is everyone? I know you are not out here all alone and I know Delilah wouldn’t allow this.” I taunted. “They are of big concern to you. Even when I do open this shield you will come straight for me.” She replied. In that moment a loud growl roared through her and I knew I hit a nerve with Delilah. I let out a laugh escape as I started to shift and I raised my arms and slammed them down against the shield only it wasn’t there and I was sent face first to the ground.
I narrowed my eyes and looked up at her, “You little bitch.” I growled out. I climbed to my feet and saw she started taking steps back. My beasts tore through the tree line and she turned to run. I chased after her when all of a sudden a large wall suddenly appeared and chaos was unfolding. Pythia had hidden another line of defense with people waiting. That was something we we’re not expecting but I was confident we could still get the job done. I locked my eyes on her just as she started to climb a large wolf and the way she held onto him angered me. Who is that? Why is she holding him that way? In the blink of an eye they were tackled to the side and the fight was on between the wolf and my beast. She started running and I was closing in when I saw a white witch using his elements to help the wolf.
So they have teamed up for this fight. Pythia suddenly turned on her feet and got into a defensive position and I wanted nothing more than to get my hands on her. I was hit with a wall and I realized I ran into my own trap. A growl tore through me as I narrowed my eyes at her, “You think this will hold me?” I asked. “No, not all night. Consider yourself in time out for now.” Pythia smirked. I grabbed the rails and tried to break free when the walls started to close in on me and a thorn pierced my skin making me growl. “You bitch! You’ll be lucky if I keep you alive after this!” I roared. She didn’t even pay attention to me because she turned and started to run off when I heard a growl and my eyes shot to one of my beasts. No! She was mine! Those damn peasants don’t listen.
I watched as she battled him in her human form, her muscles contracted with each hit. She rolled under him before she jumped back to her feet and on to his back, she pulled out knives and stuck them in his side before jumping back down dragging them with her. I noticed a man not far from me watching over his shoulder to make sure she was fine, when I noticed how much they looked like each other. They fought the same way and that’s when it clicked, they were siblings and it made sense because he could bend elements too. I’ll have to take him out but maybe I could use him if you could get my hands on him. Maybe if I torture him she would come with me. His eyes widened as he looked by her, “Pythia! On your left! MOVE!” He roared.
My eyes darted towards her to see she was hit hard from the side sending her backwards towards me. She landed on her back but the impact was so hard she flipped over, she groaned before she looked up and my eyes shot up towards Ranger. He was a mutt that never listened to anything but as he got near anger soared through me “Don’t touch her! She is mine!” I roared. “I am not yours!” Pythia snapped before letting fire climb up her arms and she readied herself. Her features were tense but I knew she was ready. Our of nowhere a large wolf hit Ranger from the side and it was beyond clear that pure rage is what that wolf was feeling. I looked at Pythia and the way she looked at me made me realize who he was. “That must be your mate.” I mused.
She turned to look at me with pure rage and disgust in her eyes before fire started creeping from her hands. It wrapped around my ankles and it was burning my skin. I flung my arms down trying to put the fire out but it was no use. The walls started closing in more and more thorns started piercing my skin angering me more. Her eyes darted to the side when she realized more of my beasts were hitting from the side. She rushed off to help where she was needed and I focused my attention back on trying to break free. I wrapped my hands around the bars and shook violently when I looked up to see her brother run by me only he looked different. Could it be? I looked back towards the tree line and instantly knew they were twins. So she had two brothers? Interesting. I kept shaking and finally they were starting to get loose.
Pythia and another woman appeared in front of me and she oddly looked like Athea. I could smell the shampoo that Pythia used and I needed to get a reaction out of her and hope that it makes her mad enough to open the door. A ground shaking growl erupted from a black and brown wolf and the woman’s face scrunched up. “Is that your mate? He looks a bit weak.” I muttered as I watched what they did. They were tightening the hinges again and I was angry. “You are quite beautiful. What is your name?” I asked. She paid no attention to me and she kept her head down. “Pythia, who is she? I’d love to have her too.” I smirked.
I was starting to get annoyed that neither would say anything. “I would love to see the two of you sprawled out under me, trembling at my tou-“ I was cut off when the woman grabbed me by the throat and dug her claws in her eyes swirled different colors. “You will mind your fucking tongue when you speak to us. You are lower than us and truly pathetic and I can’t wait to see you die.” She growled out baring her fangs. I growled back when I was thrown backwards landing back first against thorns. I launched my body forward only to be stopped by a root that shot up towards my throat. “You will not touch her.” Pythia growled out.
At first I intended on giving her a good life and now I wanted to make her my personal slave and her life would be absolutely miserable by the time I got done with her.
