Chapter 36:
Pythia POV:
Everything seems to be going smoothly and I have to admit that I am impressed with everything. "How are you feeling my dear?" Tyes mother asked as she walked towards me. "I am feeling okay momma, I'm looking forward to dinner tomorrow." I replied smiling. "I hear we will find out what you two are having tomorrow as well." She said as she rubbed my belly. "We do! I am very excited to find out. What do you think it will be?" I asked. "Hm. I think it is a boy." She replied. "How come?" I asked. "Just a feeling I get, boy or girl I will love no matter what." She replied, smiling at me. "Now don't hog her." Tyes dad said as he wrapped me up in a hug. I giggled at the deathly look she gave him, they were by far the cutest couple ever. "We are looking forward to dinner tomorrow, we haven't really been able to spend much time with you." He said, giving me a sorry look. "We have all been busy but at least we are making time for it now." I replied, smiling at him. "Pythia, a word please." I heard Lillith say. I looked at my in-laws and gave a sorry look before walking off. "What is it?" I asked.
She looked around before her eyes landed on me, "It's Storm and Damien, they aren't happy right now." Lillith whispered. I rolled my eyes, "What is new?" I asked. "Well true but something is off with them and I don't like it." Lillith stated. "What do you mean? What are you feeling?" I asked in a rush, usually when Lillith feels a certain type of way it becomes true. "I feel like they are plotting something." Lillith replied. "Well that isn't saying much, what do you think they are up to?" I asked. "The way they keep looking at Tye is making me uneasy." Lillith replied quietly. "Look, I recorded some of it on my phone." Lillith quickly said as she pulled her phone out of her pocket and showed me the first video, I could see them both intently staring at him while he talked to Phil, I can't hear what they are saying though and that doesn't make me feel good at all. Every move Tye made, their eyes followed, I could feel anger rise within me. If they are plotting to hurt him I will kill them both without a single hesitation. "Thank you Lillith, I need to go see Stephen." I said before quickly walking towards Stephen and Alley. I cleared my throat loud enough to gain their attention.
Stephen turned to me with a confused look. "Are you okay?" Stephen asked. "Uh, yes of course, just a word with you and Alley real quick please?" I asked quietly. Alley walked towards me with a tight smile. "Tye is looking for you, is everyone alright?" Alley asked, looking me over. "I am fine but I do need a favor if you both don't mind." I replied. "Not at all, what is it that you need?" Stephen asked. "I need you to put your shield around Tye please." I asked firmly. Shock came across both their faces. "Pythia what is happening?" Tye asked from behind me. "Lillith came up to me and showed me videos of Storm and Damien watching every move you made, I couldn't hear what was said but their eyes were on you, Lillith thinks they are planning something against you." I replied quietly as I scanned my eyes across everyone and sure enough they were both glaring at us both, Stephen noticed this too. "I will put the shield around us all. We need to keep all of you ladies safe as well as the alphas." Stephen replied calmly. I exhaled the breath I didn't realize I was holding.
"You were right to ask this Pythia." Alley said rubbing my shoulder. I watched as Stephens eyes swirled white before they just looked cloudy. He looked at me and smiled. "It is done. You are covered as well. I will keep this up as long as it takes." Stephen said. Relief washed over me, now I knew we would all be safe from whatever they were planning with dark magic. I scanned my eyes back around to see that they were still looking at us. As the evening came to an end everyone started going back to their homes, we had a few hiccups but nothing that couldn't be controlled. Truthfully I am exhausted and just want to lay my head down and go to sleep. "Can we stay here?" I was not really ready to go back home. "Of course we can, you don't need to ask me that." Tye said wrapping an arm around me. I breathed in his scent and I was instantly relaxed. "You look overly tired." Tye whispered. "I am very tired." I replied. I felt myself being lifted off the ground and I knew that he had picked me up, I didn't argue or fight it. I rested my head against his chest and dozed off as he walked towards the house.
