Chapter 92:
Pythia POV:
The next morning waking up was a little hard, I feel like my body has been pushed to the max and I am sore all over. We gave Jenson and Alex some alone time after Jenson mind linked me and told me he thought it would go good but if he needed me he would let me know, I don't know what time the boys left but they never came back home last night and Jenson had cut off his link from everyone else which let me know that things worked out for them. Tye had gotten up early to do his border patrol and I was fighting the urge to get out of the bed. "Come on Pythia breakfast is almost done." Beth said through the link. I groaned internally and finally tore myself out of the bed. I took a quick shower and braided my hair like I usually did and decided to wear comfortable clothes today since we aren't doing any training. I walked down the stairs to see Jasper was setting the food on the table and Beth was playing with Apollo. "Momma!" Apollo yelled out. "Hey my handsome little wolf." I smiled and sat next to him. "This looks good, please tell me you weren't on your feet all morning." I said looking at Beth. "Nope, I cooked everything and let her do the small stuff." Jasper said proudly.
It was nice to see him so excited about having a baby, even if it wasn't the best timing in the world they didn't seem to mind at all. "Where is Jenson? I haven't seen him since he left with you yesterday." Jasper said as he scrunched his face together. Oh shit. No one told them I guess. "Well, Jenson met his mate." I replied easily. "He did? That is great! Who is it?" Beth asked happily. "Uh, well his name is Alex." I replied. "Alex? Stephens beta Alex?" Jasper ask. "The very same. Don't give him any shit about it either." I said narrowing my eyes. "I would never! I knew he was gay I just didn't say anything because it wasn't my place to tell anyone." Jasper replied. "He was very nervous but it seems things worked out well. He cut off his link last night so let's hope for the best." I said with a smile. I heard the front door open and turned to see that Tye was back and muddy. "No sir! Take those shoes off first!" I yelled looking at where his shoes were supposed to be. "On the front porch! I just cleaned up there." Beth yelled making me laugh. The courage that she now has impressed me. I heard Tye grumble before he walked back outside only to quickly kick his shoes off and walk back in.
As he walked in Apollos little face lit up like a Christmas tree as soon as he saw him. "There's my little man!" Tye said, picking up a now giggling Apollo. "I'm assuming no one has heard from Jenson?" Tye asked. "Not yet, have you seen or heard from Alex?" I asked. "No, Stephen said he told him he wasn't doing his patrol today so we filled it." Tye replied. I wonder what the two of them were doing. "Well, let's eat and then I have to get going." I said. "Yeah, I gotta get to a meeting for the border patrol, but tonight for dinner I want everyone over. We don't have many days left." Tye said with a small smile. "We can do that. I'll make sure everyone is here." Beth said with a smile. "I'll stay here with Apollo too and make sure everything gets done." Beth added quickly. "Nonsense, you will come with us and then when we get back I will help you. You've been inside with kids for a while and it is your turn to come out with us." I said sternly. "But.. who will watch the other kids?" Beth asked. "Alley has the other girls bringing their kids and everything, you need a break." I replied.
"I would love to come with you guys." Beth said, the look on her face was pure happiness and her aura glowed brighter than it already was. As we ate my mind drifted back to Jenson, I didn't know what the two of them were doing but I had hoped everything was okay. When we finished I cleaned up the kitchen with Tye while the others got ready for our day. It seemed like the closer this fight got the more stuff we had to do. "Alright, I got the bags and stuff packed and the stroller is by the front door." Beth said. "Oh thank you I am ready to go." I replied walking towards the front door. I heard Apollos little feet running behind me followed by heavier footsteps behind him which I assumed were Tyes. When I opened the front door and we all started piling out of the house I looked up and into the front yard to see Jenson and Alex walking up with smiles on their faces and mate marks on their necks. A huge smile came across my face seeing them together.
Both of their auras were shining brightly. "Mind if we join?" Alex asked shyly. "Of course not, you will need to see where your new home will be after all." I replied smiling. A blush came across his face, making me smile more. "Alright I have to go and take care of some things. I will be back later though okay?" Tye said, kissing my cheek before he picked up Apollo and hugged him. I held my arms out and took Apollo from him and we watched as he shifted and ran off. "Let's get going, it may seem like we have a lot of time but we really don't." I said loading Apollo in his stroller and the bag tucked underneath it. "Hey man, glad to see you." Jasper said, walking up to Alex before shaking his hand. "Likewise." Alex replied. Jasper leaned in close to Alex and I didn't bother trying to listen to what he was telling him, it was clearly written all over his face. Jasper was warning him not to hurt his brother.
Jenson looked at me with pleading eyes, "Okay, okay let's go." I yelled out. I placed my hands on the stroller handle and started to walk forward. It really was a beautiful day today, since I've been closer with my elements it seems like I can feel things differently. Like the earth, I see the beauty more clearly than I have ever before. I could smell things a lot better and when the wind blew by it was like I could actually see it move easily. The mist that settled on the grass and flowers stood out to me, it was like the water flakes were caring for it all. I took a deep breath relishing in the scent. "So what have the two of you been up to? We missed you both at breakfast." I said, trying to make small talk. "We were just walking around for a bit trying to spend a little time together privately before we started the day." Jenson replied. "We are having dinner tonight and you both are expected to be there." I said looking over my shoulder.
"We wouldn't miss it." Alex replied. "Good because you are a part of this family now, we do enjoy the time we get to spend together." I said. "I've heard about them, it's something I have never had, I'm looking forward to it." Alex replied with a big smile. It made my heart smile that Jenson finally found someone who could make him happy. I started seeing the coven house in the distance and it looked a little better than the last time I had come to check on it. We decided to recruit the human construction people as a way to continue the peace we have been working towards with them. As we approached most of them had stopped and were staring at us. "Pythia! So good to see you again. I'm assuming that you want to check the progress?" Granger asked. "Yes, how are things? Any issues?" I asked. "Actually none at all. The building is coming along faster than we thought it would." Granger replied.
"Oh that is wonderful news! How long do you think it would take to complete it all?" I asked. "Maybe another month or month and a half as long as things keep going as smoothly as they are now." Granger replied. "I would like to introduce you to some of the people that will be living here. This is my brother Jasper and his mate Beth, my other brother Jenson and his mate Alex. If they want to make any changes I expect it to be done with no issues." I said. Granger looked between Jenson and Alex curiously. "If there is anything that they want to add it will be done." Granger replied. There was a tone in his voice that made me narrow my eyes. "Good, because if I hear otherwise you will regret it." I said harshly, gaining his attention. He bowed his head before he walked off.
I didn't like the way he looked at them but as long as he keeps those thoughts to himself there won't be a problem.\`\`Let's walk around and have a look." Beth chimed in clearly sensing the small amount of tension that was in the air. I pushed the stroller forward taking a look around to see that the yard and tree lining was exactly how everyone had wanted it. There was a section for a garden for them to grow whatever they wanted, next to it was a larger area for us to grow all of the herbs we would need for any type of spell. There were empty spaces for them to have individual slots to do what they wanted with it. The house itself has been widened to hold more rooms for everyone and even to have guests. Overall I was really impressed with how it was turning out. "What do you guys think?" I asked. "It's actually really nice. What color are they going to paint it?" Jenson asked. "It'll be a dark blue I believe." I replied. "That's actually really fitting." Beth said.
"We can ask to double check. I don't think anyone has changed anything but it has been a while since I have checked on things." I said. I saw a group of workers sitting down eating food, they kept looking up at us but would look away. I perked my ears to hear what they were saying. "I heard the two dudes were mates." One said. "How does that even work? I mean they can't have kids can they?" Another asked. "Of course they can stupid they can adopted or something." A female replied smacking the one over the head. "I don't want to see that shit." The male on the end snapped. I saw Jenson take a step back while Alex tensed and stepped closer to Jenson. "Oh shut up, let them be happy." The girl snapped back. "I don't care, It's not something I want to see." The man snapped back. Oh hell no. I felt anger surge through me and I felt Delilah try to push her way forward "How dare he say such hateful shit!" Delilah roared in my head.
I stepped to the side and looked back at Beth, I could see the anger on her face. "Stay with Apollo please." I said before walking calmly forward looking at the house. "Do any of you know if the color of the paint has changed for the house?" I asked sweetly. "It is still the blue that was picked out ma'am." The girl replied. "I would like the trim to be a nice beige color." I said. "Yes, ma'am we will get the paint ordered." One of the men said. I walked over to the young man that had a lot to say, I leaned forward until our faces were nearly touching. "Do you have something you would like to say?" I asked harshly, tilting my head to the side. He shook his head slightly. "I bet you don't since you got out all the bullshit that was spewing from your mouth before I got here. Now let me ask. That group that is back there, do you know who they are?" I asked.
Again he shook his head. "Do you know who I am?" I asked. "You are the queen of the dark witches." He mumbled. "Exactly, now that group behind me I know you see two of the boys are twins but look a little closer and you will see that they are my brothers." I seethed. His eyes widened when it finally dawned on him. "Is there a problem with my little brother being gay?" I asked. "N-no." He stuttered. "If I ever hear that shit come from your mouth or anyone elses mouth I will rip your tongue out and shove it up your ass. You have no right to judge others. Keep your nose on your face and out of other peoples business." I growled. I didn't give him a chance to say anything before I stood back up and cleared my throat. "Feel free to tell the others. I will not tolerate any hate comments whatsoever. You are here to do a job and I expect it to be done." I snapped before walking back to the others.
"Now let's go and see the inside of the house shall we?" I said with a smile. As we walked towards the door everyone was looking at us. I hoped they had heard what was said because that had better be the last time I hear of anything like that.
