Chapter 35:
Tye POV:
I do not like Ambrosias brother at all, the way he made me feel was not something anything good could come out of. I felt how tense Pythia was and that is very unusual for her, she has never wanted to be away from someone so badly before. We let the girls meet up with some other people and I knew Brandon would be watching them which I was thankful for. I scanned my eyes until they landed on Xander. I did not want him out of my sight."If you stare any harder you will burn a hole through him." Stephen said as he walked up. "I don't like him." I muttered. "I can tell, Alley and I will go meet him here shortly, but other than that how is everything going?" Stephen asked. "It seems to be going well. Are you aware of humans?" I asked. "Yes, I am aware. I have been making progress with the human leaders about normalizing the presence of wolves, witches and vampires. Well the good ones anyways." Stephen replied. "Good, we need to take all precautions." I stated. "Agreed, now if you will excuse me I need to go and find Alley and go meet this Xander." Stephen said.
As much as I wanted them to, I wanted Alley far away from that dude as possible. Other than him and the cranky ass elders I would say everything is going good for the most part. "You look a little tense." a voice called out from behind me, "I will be fine." I replied. "Tye, you can't stress over him. Ambrosia will handle him." Phil said as he stood next to me. "Have you met him?" I asked. "Yes, he gives off a harmful vibe but he won't do anything right here right now, he knows he would be dead." Phil replied. Well that is true, I would kill him. I need to relax, he is right though he wouldn't do anything now and Ambrosia seems to keep reminding him that she will kill him. "Let's handle the elders first and then we will figure him out." Phil stated. "Yeah, we will be seeing the elders soon enough." I replied bitterly. I heard him chuckle next to me. "Yes, we will. I will be present during the meeting. I am not sure if Storm and Damien will be there or not. I will talk to them later tonight and let you both know tomorrow." Phil replied. "We appreciate your help with this. How long does this type of stuff usually go on for?" I asked. "Depending on how good the debates are, the longest I have seen was about three years." Phil replied. Three years?!
How is that even possible. "It may take longer since she is with child, normally trials would have started by now but you guys have a couple more months and then a few weeks of recovery time before the other things start." Phil stated. "How long do you see this going?" I asked. "Depends, if peace is kept then they might see it as a good thing and drop it, but if someone starts any shit well then it won't be good." Phil replied. Well great, so we really need to be on our toes and make sure everyone acts accordingly. "What will happen if we have another child and the trial is still going on?" I asked. We are planing to have more and I will not let a stupid ass trial stop me and her from having more children. "They may proceed or they may pause but we haven't had that happen so I can't answer that truthfully." Phil replied. That makes sense. "So what if someone were to wage war on humans? Would that prolong the trial?" I asked. "Depends on who it is. If it is vampires then it could, they know how close Ambrosia and Pythia are and that could jeopardize things but if they see everyone coming together to eliminate that threat then it could sway them." Phil replied. "Well that is what we all did in the last battle, what more do they want to see?" I asked, frustrated. "They want to see that it can be kept up. Our number one thing is to protect ourselves." Phil replied calmly.
I mean I guess but damn, why do they have to be so stubborn about it? I huffed a little too harshly. "Look, we would never let anything happen to her, this is going to be long for us all. Just have a little faith, yeah?" Phil said as he rested a hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, I can do that. I just don't want her to stress out." I replied. "She is going to but that is where you come in. You calm her in ways no one else can." Phil replied. I didn't have words to say so I simply nodded. "Good, now I must go and mingle again." Phil said as he walked off. I looked up to see that Alley and Stephen were speaking to Xander and judging by the look on his face it wasn't a very pleasant conversation. I walked over to them and I started picking up bits and pieces of it all. Xander wanted Pythia to perform a locator spell for him. Absolutely not. His eyes locked on mine as soon as I stood next to Alley. "Ah the mate, how are you?" Xander asked. "I'm fine." I clipped. "As I was saying, you may not approach Pythia without our permission or Tyes permission." Alley stated coolly. "I wasn't aware she was a child that needed others' permission." Xander stated. I could feel Stephens aura rolling off of him, I could see the change is Xanders face and he knew he messed up.
He cleared his throat but Alley raised her hand stopping him. "You do not come to my lands and disrespect my sister. Let me make myself absolutely clear. When you speak to anyone you speak to them with respect. If you cross anyone of our people I will come for you. We always welcome guests but if you want to act like you are better than anyone and decide to be a dick then you may leave." Alley stated with force in her voice. Shock registered on Xanders face before he completely paled out. Alley was as sweet as could be but one thing about her is she will not allow anyone to look down or disrespect someone else. "I didn't mean any disrespect, should I ever need to speak to Pythia I will ask." Xander whispered. Alley straightened her shoulders and slapped a smile on her face. "Good, now I must go and visit. Can I trust that you will behave?" Alley asked in a sweet voice. "Yes ma'am." Xander replied before bowing his head slightly. Well at least it is made clear that he is to watch himself, now I need to find my green eyed beauty because I am missing her.
