Chapter 16:
Pythia POV:
"Are you sure you are okay?" He asked tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. "I think so. I mean I am nervous and scared but I think I am going to be okay." I replied softly. "I felt your emotions earlier and I figured you talked with Ambrosia. I talked with Jackson as well." Tye replied. "It was a hard conversation to have, but Ambrosia is set on being at the trial along with your sister and the others. I feel like with everyone there I will have the strength I need." I replied. "Jackson said he would be there as well. We will be okay with my green eyed beauty, but after the wave of emotions that hit me I just needed to make sure that you were okay. Then I heard you and Ambrosia in here giggling up a storm and that made me happy." Tye said cupping my face. "She is a good person. They all are. I have been truly blessed." I said, planting a soft kiss on his lips. "PYTHIA!" Ambrosia yelled, making me and Tye jump. "I take it she isn't very patient." Tye grumbled. "No she isn't, hey has Jackson mentioned anything about Ambrosias brother?" I asked as we walked out of the door. "Yeah he said he is a real pain in the ass but nothing more why? Did you meet him?" Tye asked. "Yes I did and I did not get a good vibe from him." I muttered. "I will talk to Jackson about it tonight then." Tye said as we walked down the stairs.
"There you guys are! Oh my goddess I love those!" Alley said as she and the others walked over to us. "Alright Tye let us leave the ladies for now." Jackson announced. Tye kissed my cheek and winked at me before he started walking off. I swear that man could make me melt. "Who is ready for a girls night!" Chloe yelled as she held up two bags of chips. "I know I am! What are we going to do first?" I asked. "Well, I had some people set up in the living room so we can get our feet and stuff done. I full massage therapy is what we need." Jasmine said giggling. "They are humans that are fine with us, most of their clients are wolves." Alley whispered, making me relax a little more. We walked into the large living room and I saw foot massagers were set up on the couches with eight women who were smiling at us. "Thank you so much for letting us come! Now sit down and let us get to work, we also brought different color nail polish for you ladies to pick from." The human said, smiling even bigger at us. Ambrosia stood next to me as we looked at the colors, "What are you thinking?" Ambrosia asked. "Tyes favorite color is emerald green so I think I am going to go with that." I replied picking up the color. "That is a good idea, Jacksons favorite color is dark blue." Ambrosia said, picking up the color.
We sat down next to each other and I realized that our outfits were going to be an issue. Alley brought in a blanket giggling at us. "Here, use this to cover up." She said handing us a blanket, I unzipped my outfit and pulled my feet out and placed my feet in the hot water and I wrapped myself up in the blanket. Oh this water is really nice. I sat back against the couch while the lady in front of me quickly got to work. "So we did a little talking today, Pythia and it is determined that we will be there with you when you go before the grand elders." Emma said, looking at me. "They can not deny us since we are the council, we looked up everything we needed to know about the rules." Charlotte said. "That honestly makes me feel better knowing I will have those closest to me there with me." I replied. "I will be there as I told you earlier." Ambrosia said, smiling at me. "Are you allowed to be there? We looked and couldn't find anything." Diane asked. "Yes I can, Technically I am older than they are. I am a queen therefore they can not deny me." Ambrosia said. "Not to sound rude but how old are you exactly?" Alley asked as a small blush creeped across her face. Ambrosia laughed and waved her hand.
"No need to be embarrassed, I am much older than anyone thinks. I am nearly eight hundred years old which is still fairly young for me." Ambrosia replied, stunning everyone. "That is young? You don't look older than twenty five at most!" Stefanie stated. "Vampires are eternal unless we get mates, we die after they do. Wolves live to be my age, maybe a little longer, same as dark witches." Ambrosia replied. Well she has a point, I guess we didn't expect her to have such a big leap on us. "You are older than the grand elder then, we have read that they usually range between two hundred to three hundred years old." Alley replied. As we made small talk I watched as the adorable little human in front of me finished her work, before I knew it I was zipping my outfit back up. I heard someone clear their throat and we all looked up to see our men staring at us. "Pythia, you have a visitor." Tye said evenly. "It must be the new elder?" I asked. They each nodded their heads, I understand them being on the fence about this especially after what they saw the last time. Ambrosia stood quickly and stood right next to me. "Well let's go and meet him." I said nervously. As we walked forward Ambrosia grabbed my hand and gave it a small squeeze. She has turned out to be the big sister I never had. Pierce opened the front door and Jackson and Tye stepped out first standing beside us.
I looked at the man standing below the few stairs that were there and my eyes widened at who it was. Of all people it had to be him? "Hello Pythia, I was told to meet you here to prove that I am on your side?" He said. "Hello Uncle Phil, and yes I did." I replied. My uncle. My fathers younger brother. Why did he show up? "I am sure you have questions, I will be more than glad to answer them but can we do that in private?" Uncle Phil asked as he looked around at everyone. Tye took a step closer to me and growled, "No. You may speak in front of us all." I replied evenly. "Very well, where should we speak then?" Phil asked. "We can go around back, plenty of seating there." Stephen said, narrowing his eyes. "I mean no harm, this I swear. I have some news to bring as well." Phil replied, holding his hands up. He was the last person I was expecting to see but I guess we should at least hear him out.
