Chapter 20:
Tye POV:
I never understood why women wanted to watch movies, they always fell asleep during them. Maybe it's all the pregnancy stuff? Or maybe they are just tired but it didn't take long for our group of ladies to pass out before the movie even ended. I looked down at Pythia, her smooth skin practically glowed. She looked peaceful and worry free, just how I always want her. She is stunningly beautiful and I wondered what she was dreaming about. I knew it wasn't a bad dream because she looked happy, I knew the information her uncle told us was weighing on her and as much as her and Alley are close to her and Ambrosia are closer. Not that I minded but Ambrosia has gone out of her way to stay beside her when I couldn't. I needed to find a way to thank her for that. I will have to talk to Jackson about that later on. I wrapped Pythia in a blanket and carefully picked her up, she melted against me, before I could get out of the door I noticed the others doing the same. "Jackson, I need to speak with you out front." I said through our link. I looked over my shoulder to see him nod. As I walked through the quiet house Pythias words came back to me about Ambrosias brother.
If she is getting bad vibes then I need to keep a closer eye on him, as I laid my green eyed beauty down she didn't even move, her soft snores filled the room and I quickly made my way outside. As soon as I closed the door I saw the book we had been waiting on with a note attached to it with Pythias name written on it. I grabbed the book and placed the note inside it. She can read it all tomorrow and tell me about it, I wasn't going to be one of those guys to read something that was not addressed to me without permission. I heard the door behind me close and Jackson stepped into my line of vision. "What is the deal with Ambrosias brother?" I asked. "Well hello to you too dickhead, Ambrosias brother is being a huge pain in my ass honestly. Why?" Jackson asked. "Pythia met him and she did not get good vibes from him so I am curious." I replied. "Yeah Ambrosia told me about that. He is a weird dude that came from the east. She doesn't know him well but we are doing our research on him." Jackson replied. "I don't want him near Pythia or the rest of the girls." I said sternly. "Trust me he won't be. I don't let Ambrosia around him alone and she stays at our house at night. When we find out more I will let you know but I agree with keeping him under close watch." Jackson said.
The door closed behind us and Stephen stood next to it leaned against the doorway. "I overheard the conversation and I agree with you both. If he is a threat he will be eliminated." Stephen said and the tone in his voice left no room for anything else. "How come you didn't tell us sooner?" I asked Jackson. "Because I don't know much about him and neither does she, I don't have proof that he is a threat." Jackson replied, shrugging his shoulders. "I understand that. Maybe we should test him." Stephen stated. "What do you mean test him?" I was not sure if I would like the answer. "At the gathering on Saturday we will have the ladies watch him, each of us will meet him but the ladies are not to be left alone under any circumstance." Stephen replied. That actually isn't a bad idea. "I like the sound of that idea. I will talk to Ambrosia In the morning and we can all have a meeting about it." Jackson stated. "I see the book came. Have you looked in it?" Stephen asked. "No, I will leave it for Pythia to look at first thing in the morning." I replied. "Good, let's go get some rest, we will need it for tomorrow." Stephen said as he walked back through the door. I walked through the house and straight to our room, I glanced over at Pythia who was still soundly asleep. I quietly walked over to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth. As I came out of the bathroom and walked towards the bed I was met with two green eyes staring right at me.
"Go back to sleep my beauty." I said as I crawled in the bed behind her. "How long was I asleep?" She asked, I could hear the exhaustion in her voice. You fell asleep towards the end and I carried you up here" I replied pulling her back against my chest. Her skin was so soft and perfect. I slid one arm under her head and laid one on her belly. I needed to feel as if I was holding her and our little princess, keeping them both safe while they slept. "Did the book come?" She asked, "it did, I put it up on the shelf and no you are not reading it tonight. Sleep now and we will start reading it tomorrow." I replied as I buried my head in her neck inhaling her scent. She laid her head back down and drifted off to sleep and I wasn't too far behind her. With the thought of both my girls here in my arms safe I knew I could rest easily tonight.
