Chapter 37:

Pythia POV:
I have been obsessing over what to wear to the point it is frustrating me, I swear my belly gets bigger and bigger each day. It looks like someone stuffed a watermelon in me at this point but I can't really complain. I've had an easy pregnancy so far thank goddess but I am starting to worry about how big this baby is going to be. I mean goddess sake if it is too big what will happen? No way am I pushing out a ten pound kid. I finally decided on basic leggings and a large tank top. I needed to be comfortable because I already know momma will have so much food, but before we do anything we are going to see Julie so we can finally know what we are having. I would be fine with a boy or girl but I also know there is something about an alpha girl and it makes them special or something. If that is us then I will do more research into it and see what we need to do to prepare her. "Are you almost ready?" Tye asked from the doorway. "Yes, just let me put my shoes on." I grunted out as I tried bending down. "Let me help you." Tye chuckled. I narrowed my eyes on him. "Glad you find it funny." I muttered. "Well you are super cute and I know how much you want to be independent but you have to know that it's okay to ask for help. Even for the small things." Tye replied and he slipped both my flats on.
I couldn't help but smile at him, he did have a point. I've been so used to doing everything on my own to the point it's hard for me to get used to the fact that he is here and wants to help me. That was something I would definitely have to work on. I stood up and laid a soft kiss on his lips. "Now I am ready." I stated before I laced my arm with his and pulled him towards the door. I was so excited for this appointment and then for dinner. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a huge smile. "Are you two ready to find out?" Julie asked as she led us to the nearest room. "More than you know! I have been dying to know." I replied happily. "Hop on this table and lay back like normal." Julie said. Tye helped me climb on the table, I laid back and pulled my shirt up and my leggings down a little. I watched as she squirted jelly on my belly, it didn't feel cold or anything. Julie pulled the screen closer to her and she moved the little wand around. "Ah there the little one is.." Julie murmured. I turned my head to see that our little baby wasn't so little anymore. I could see the head and body clearly. "Well I'll be.." Julie whispered.
I was focusing so hard on the screen to see if I could see what she was seeing and I couldn't. "It's a boy." Julie said cheerfully. A boy! I looked over to see a huge smile plastered on my mates face. "If you look right here, you will be able to see the penis indicating that this child is a boy." Julie said, showing us exactly what she was looking at. "Do you two have names picked out?" Julie asked. "Apollo, Apollo Wayne." I whispered. "That is a good name to pick out. He has a strong heartbeat and seems to be very active." Julie replied, she carefully wiped off all the jelly and I pulled my leggings back up and my shirt down. "I can't wait to tell your parents." I said smiling at Tye. "They will be over the moon no matter what." Tye replied. "I've got to tell Ambrosia!" I said excitedly. "When am I due?" I asked Julie. "Apollo is growing quickly so it wouldn't shock me if you went into labor in two months, three at the most." Julie replied. Oh shit, that really isn't a lot of time. We still have so much to get and I don't know where to begin. "Oddly you are all supposed to go into labor at the same time, I have been making arrangements with other pack doctors just in case." Julie stated.
I was too wrapped up in my own thoughts to realize what was happening. "Are you alright?" Julie asked, pulling me from my thoughts. "Yes, I am fine. Just realized how little time I had." I replied. "Well if you need anything I am always here. Do you have any questions?" Julie asked. I shook my head and offered a smile. "If you think of any please come by and see me any time." Julie said before she walked out of the door. "Don't stress, you will see why I say that soon enough, Let's head to my parents house. They are waiting for us." Tye said help me off the table. I hesitated when I realized how far of a walk that would be for me. "Can I ride on Rex?" I asked. Tye turned to me with a soft smile. "You just made him a very happy wolf." He said before he shifted into his overly large size wolf. Rex faced me and I could see a swirl of emotions moving through his eyes at once. His eyes lowered to my big belly and he brought his nose closer to me, I lifted my shirt and I could see his tail start to wag. At first he smelled me and then he started licking me. Apollo jumped around the moment Rex got close enough.
I couldn't help but laugh, I can already tell these two would be a handful and then some. "Now Rex, look at me." I stated. He raised his head and his green eyes locked on mine, "Absolutely no running okay?" I said and I watched him nod. "Now when I climb up I am going to pull some hair but I promise I don't mean to hurt you." I said running my hand through his thick but soft fur. He tilted his head into my touch and I knew he was giving me the answer I needed. He laid on all fours and I took a deep breath and I grabbed fistfuls of his fur and pulled myself up. Rex didn't flinch once as I did that and it made me feel a little better. When I was seated the way I felt most comfortable I rubbed between his shoulder blades. "Alright my wolf, I am ready." I said, he stood slowly making sure I didn't start to fall off. When he fully stood I was still amazed at how big he was and how much I could see. Rex walked slowly across the field and many eyes fell on us but to them this was nothing unusual. I could see Ember and Danny playing with other children. I still needed to fully introduce myself to them and honestly I have heard Danny can make anyones day better. Maybe Tye and I can take him and Ember to lunch one day soon.
