Chapter 32:
Pythia POV:
I stood frozen as the man walked towards us with caution. Could that really be my dad? How did he even find me here? Jackson and Tye did not budge at all and I inched a little closer to Ambrosia and grabbed her hand. I started taking in his details, we had the same color eyes, he is a little taller than me. His skin complexion was a little darker than mine. His hair was brown, high cheek bones and my nose. "I won't hurt you." He called out. I could feel the alpha aura Jackson and Tye had laced out and it was mixed with the shield I had put up. I could feel the electricity from it, it was tense and served as a warning. "I don't have much time Pythia, I really need to talk to you." He called out. I could hear the urgency in his voice. I peaked around the boys and my eyes locked on him, I pulled the shield back and wrapped my arm around Tye. "It's okay." I whispered.
I walked out and stood in between Jackson and Tye, "How did you find me?" I asked. Slowly he walked forward and I could see a hint of a smile across his face. "Locator spell, I'll teach you sometime but right now I am here to warn you." My dad said, I frowned. Warn me? "Warn her about what?" Tye asked in a clipped tone. "You must be the infamous mate I have heard about, no worries we will get to know each other soon enough. The grand council will be summoning you next week. They will be going over the accusations and will tell you the day the trial will start." My dad stated. Oh fuck. This is too soon, we haven't prepared. I felt myself tense a little at his words. "I do not want you to worry but I know you will. You will be safe I promise. I am in charge of where you will stay the night before." He said. "I will be joining her." Tye stated. "Of course, it is only right." My dad replied. "I will be there as well." Ambrosia said as she stood beside me. "I don't know if I can do that." My dad replied. "She is a queen and can go if she wants. We will be there." Jackson stated in a harsh tone.
My dad looked at Ambrosia nearly studying her. "Ambrosia?" He asked. She gave a slight nod. "You have done a fabulous job with the vampires, I am honored to meet you. Your mate is correct. We can not keep you out." My dad said. "The council of wolves and white witches will be there as well." Tye said. "There isn't a council for the wolves and white witches." My dad retorted. "Yes there is. Newly found and will be blessed by the goddess herself." I stated. "Since when?" My dad asked. "Since the battle. They can explain it themselves." Ambrosia said. "Well how can I say no to that? Fine I will make sure that you are all together and well taken care of the night before, a letter will come in a few days with the details but I had the chance to get away for a bit so I came straight to you." My dad said full on smiling now. "You are beautiful. You have good people around you from what your uncle has told me. Your mate is very protective." He said looking at Tye. "That I am, but she doesn't really need me to protect herself." Tye grumbled. My dad full on laughed, "Good. She needs to be independent and strong, but I am glad she has you. My name is Adam." My dad said, extending his hand to Tye.
"I'm Tye, this is my brother Jackson." Tye replied, shaking my dads hand. "I figured you were both brothers, you both look alike. So your sister is the great white witch?" My dad asked. "She is." I replied. "I am sorry for all the questions, I have missed so much and for that I am truly sorry." My dad said with sadness in his voice. "From what we understand you did not have a choice." Ambrosia replied. "I wish things could have been different, believe me. I see I have a grandchild on the way." My dad said looking at my overgrown belly. "Yes you do, if you want to make things up to me then be a part of her life. Don't miss out on what you did with me." I replied. "The sooner we get through this the sooner I can be in your life for good this time. I just couldn't wait any longer to finally see you." My dad said. I felt oddly calm. I should be angry that he hasn't come to me sooner but then again I understand why he didn't, there was a lot at stake back then so I get it. "I see you have been reading the book that was provided." My dad said pulling me from my thoughts. "I have been reading it but it doesn't say too much, just what will happen if I go too far and stuff like that." I replied. "There hasn't been a blessed one in decades so we didn't know too much about it. I am sorry I couldn't provide you more." My dad replied.
"It isn't your fault, we all need to learn more about this. We will figure everything out." I replied. "I must go for now, I have to be back before it gets too late." My dad said taking a step towards me, I met him half way and we embraced each other. He held tightly to me for the short moment he could. "You don't know how proud I am of you." He whispered, I hugged him a little tighter. "I know dad. Thank you for coming to see me." I whispered back. As we stepped away from each other he offered us all a warm smile. "Take care of her, yeah?" He asked, looking around. "We will always take care of her." Tye replied. In an instant he was gone. He must have teleported himself here to begin with. "Well he seems like a good person." Ambrosia said. Yeah, he did. He may not have been in my life entirely but it seems he has kept tabs on me throughout the years. I'm not sure what to think. I am about to be summoned by the grand elders a lot sooner than I would like to. He said it was only to discuss how everything was going to happen and when but still, this has my nerves going a little crazy. "We will get through this." Tye said, wrapping his arms around me to rest them on top of my belly.
