Chapter 115:

Delilah POV:

I knew Metz pretty well, he was a stubborn bastard and I knew the two of them planned on merging with each other but the one thing they didn't plan on was me being separated from Pythia. They were both trying to figure out the best way to keep us separated so one could run off with her and I was not about to allow that. The moment she grabbed Bartholomew and disappeared I made my body wider as I stared down Metz, his eyes traveled so he could keep Bartholomew within his eyesight and the last thing I needed was for him to try to get to the two of them. "Delilah, you need to move now, he is about to run to them." Jenson said quickly and that was all I needed to get my legs moving. I ran straight for him, his eyes landed on me and turned deadly before he growled out and ran towards me.

We collided in the middle and it was nothing short of a small collision. I could hear our bodies hit each other. I didn't need him to talk to me to know what he was going to do next. He pulled back his head and opened his mouth. I took a few steps back and raised my right paw just as his face started to come down. My paw smashed against his face making him take a few steps back shaking his head. I leaped on the side of him latching my teeth around his side before I pulled a chunk of his skin off of him. He growled furiously as he tried to shield his wound. He launched at me and I easily dodged him kicking my back legs out hitting him in his chest. "You are making him mad as hell. He knows he can't get the upper hand on you." Jenson said. Good, then he remembers what it was like all those centuries.

I whipped around lowering my head and ramming it into his injured side, knocking him down to the ground. "Kick his ass Delilah!" Lucinda yelled through my head. "Goddess, I appreciate you." I said quickly. I knew she would be watching and I'm sure her nerves are on end. "How is Pythia?" I asked not really caring who answered me. I needed her to stay away long enough for me to hurt him more. He ran straight at me slamming his body into mine, my claws dug into the ground and I growled hard as I snapped at his leg. He barely moved it in time, he raised his leg and kicked me in my snout blurring my vision for a few seconds. "She is fine now, she threw him all over the place." Jenson replied. "Athea has sent spirit to her to heal the wounds she does have." Lucinda said. That puts my mind at ease. I knew Bartholomew alone was strong but I also knew that she is much stronger than he is. I planted my legs firmly on the ground as he charged at me, just before he could make contact I jumped and swung my head to the side latching my teeth around his leg. As he ran he tore his own flesh from his  body.

"Bartholomew is down. She killed him." Jenson said quickly and that is when everything changed. Metz started to become sloppy, crazed and I knew that he felt his death. Not that I cared, the little vermin deserved it. Metzs movements became a lot quicker and it was hard for me to see what he was going to do next. He launched at me and opened his mouth and even though I did my best to move out of his way I wasn't fast enough. He ripped a chunk  out of my back leg. I snarled in his face even though pain shot throughout my entire body, I refused to let him see just how bad it actually hurt. Before I could adjust myself he slammed into me sending us rolling around on the ground. I kicked my legs and growled at him when he latched on to my side, ripping it out as he pulled his head back. I kept growling to show no weakness. "Stay strong my brave wolf, Pythia is on her way." Lucinda said gently in my head. I clawed under him as he prepared to aim straight for my neck. I heard my name being screamed and I looked over to see the fear and anger on Pythias face.

Everything seemed like it went in slow motion, I watched her figure change into what she was always meant to become. She wielded all of the elements in this moment and I watched them surround her body protectively as she raised her hands. The beam of light burst from her hands right at us, it collided with Metz sending him backwards towards the tree line. She teleported to him and he barely got to his feet in time. He snarled at her before he charged at her and I struggled to get to my feet. She was surrounded by her inner light which made her that much more dangerous. I watched in amazement as she grabbed him by the throat and slammed him to the ground causing the ground to break under them. "How dare you hurt her!" Pythia roared, I watched her raise her fists one after the other and as they connected they were pushed further into the ground. I finally stood to my feet in time to see her grab on to him and throw him across the field.

Dirt flew up around him as his body slid across that ground. Pythia came and stood next to me and I could finally see the extent to her injuries. She didn't let her pain show and her elements of light reformed around the both of us. I felt her warm hand on my side as she teleported us to where Metz had crashed. When his eyes connected to mine he slowly stood to his feet shaking his head and snarling at us. he crouched down but he wasn't fast enough, Pythia pulled roots up piecing each of his legs holding him down. I growled before I launched at him latching on to his throat and not hesitating to rip it from him. I jumped back up to Pythia and watched her eyes turn a bright red just before Metzs body was lit on fire. Together we turned around to see everyone walking towards us and I felt her sway. "Catch her!" Lucindas voice rang out in my head just as Pythia started falling towards the ground. Her eyes had rolled back, carefully I pulled my leg up and laid her on the ground just as Tye got to her. "Pythia? Hey my beauty open your eyes. Please open your eyes for me." Tye choked out. "Julie is waiting, we need to get her to the hospital." Alley said quickly before she grabbed onto Tye and teleported them to the hospital.

I looked around to see everyone was still watching me. "Come on Delilah. Others are waiting to get you patched up." Jasper said gently. I grunted at him but made no move to move. "Don't be stubborn, we need to get you looked at." Jenson said. I walked between them and before I knew it I was standing in the middle of the hospital. "Delilah come this way please." A female nurse said. I followed her to the back where a doctor was waiting for me. "Come lay down and let me look at your injuries." He said. "That won't be necessary, I will take care of her." Lucinda said, gaining everyone's attention. "I knew you wouldn't stay away for very long." I said, making her laugh. "Hush up and let me fix you." Lucinda replied walking over to me. I closed my eyes as she restored my injuries. The places that were missing chunks were now whole and the pain was gone. "What about Pythia?" I asked. "They are already working on her. Athea has sent spirit to heal her faster." Lucinda said sadly. "Don't worry. She is strong, she will be fine." I replied. "I know she will be. Let's get you somewhere you can rest." Lucinda said, running her hand through my fur. "Take me where Pythia will be. I want to be with her." I said tiredly.

We stood and walked through the hallways and I was taken to an empty room where everyone else was. They smiled softly at me as I laid down on the floor and closed my eyes, I will stay here as long as it takes. She needed to know that I would be here with her through her healing process and after she is healed we will once again be joined together....

**Lucinda POV:**

Everyone was sound asleep. Athea, Adam, Beth and I were the only ones that were watching the fight continue on. We were all on edge as Pythia and Alley worked quickly to restore the cage that Bartholomew was in. I was so focused on everything else that I didn't hear what all was being said until Alley grabbed him by the throat so intensely that she drew blood. She snarled in his face before she threw him backwards, "I would really hate to piss her off." Adam muttered. "That's my girl!" Athea said happily. Pythia yanked up roots to stop him from moving anymore and I smiled. She was doing great so far and I was incredibly proud of her. I watched as she took on Bartholomews little girlfriend and I knew she wouldn't last very long. She was always a weak fighter in human form and when she was losing she would shift. What surprised me was how Ambrosia came out of nowhere with her siphon. The moment we all realized that Bartholomew had separated from his beast it was too late. They all gathered around Pythia but I knew she was just going to hide them

She didn't want any of them to get hurt in the process. Metz charged at Pythia and she readied herself but thankfully Delilah got to her before anything happened. She let out an earth shattering growl and a wide smile came to my face. "She is impressive." Beth whispered with wide eyes. "Delilah is furious right now." I replied watching them. There was a stand off for a brief second and Pythia finally had enough and teleported to Bartholomew, sending them both away so that he could not merge with Metz. Adam tensed up beside me as Pythia and Bartholomew started fighting each other. "Be calm, she is strong, you must keep the faith." I whispered. My breathing started to quicken as he wailed on her punch after punch, her face started to swell and one of her eyes was swollen shut. "Athea!" I yelled. "I'm on it sister." Athea replied. Pythia stood to her feet and I watched her body movements change as the swelling started to go down on her face.

Her body was bruised and bloodied and just as she launched herself at him they collided again. I took a small second to switch my view to Delilah. She was standing strong and had the upper hand on him so far. She ripped a chunk off his upper back and he was mad that he couldn't get the upper hand on her. "Kick his ass Delilah!" I yelled through the link to her. "Goddess, I appreciate you." Delilah replied. I watched her go back and forth when her voice rang out in my head, "How is Pythia?" She asked.   "Athea has sent spirit to her to heal the wounds she does have." I replied. I switched back to Pythia to see she was throwing him around like he weighed nothing to her. The final breaking point was when she appeared on a building and threw him off of it. She teleported down to him before pulling her knives out and puncturing his lungs. "Yes! She did it!" Adam yelled happily. A root was pulled from the ground piercing him through the neck. "That's my girl!" I yelled.

I looked over her appearance and I could tell she was still injured pretty badly even though Athea was doing what she could to help her. I watched her run towards Delilah and I knew something was wrong. Metz had the upper hand on Delilah because he was now crazed with his movements. He felt Bartholomew's death and he wanted nothing but vengeance. They rolled around on the ground and my Delilah never once gave him the satisfaction of showing her pain.   "Stay strong my brave wolf, Pythia is on her way." I said gently. I wasn't sure if Pythia was going to make it in time but then she screamed Delilahs name right before she finally became what she was meant to be. The bringer of light and dark. Her body straightened as all her elements surrounded her, then morphed to fit her body just as she raised her hands and the beam of light was shot out. "Lucinda she did it! She has unlocked her true nature!" Athea cheered happily.

Tears formed around my eyes, I knew she could do it. She was filled with rage and fear but as she teleported to Metz fear is not what she was feeling. We all watched as she did the unthinkable and grabbed him by the throat in mid run and slammed him to the ground. The elements fought against him, they saw him as pure evil that needed to be rid of the world. "What is she?" Beth asked. "She gets to decide who lives and who dies. She is the bringer of the light but also the bringer of the dark." I replied. "What does that mean?" Adam asked. "She is like a gateway between the worlds, if someone deserves a second chance at life she may grant it. If they do not, she decides where they shall spend their afterlife." Athea replied. I watched as Pythia and Delilah ended their fight by torching his body making sure he will never walk this world again. Pythias' body started to sway and I knew what was about to happen. "Catch her!" I yelled at Delilah.

Delilah didn't need to be told twice before she raised her paw and caught her before she crashed to the ground. "Athea I need to go." I said quickly standing on my feet. "Of course. Tend to Delilah first, she needs to be fully healed. We will gather everyones stuff and be ready to bring them back when we are told to." Athea said with a smile. I closed my eyes connecting with Delilah and when I opened my eyes I was in a room, "Come lay down and let me look at your injuries." A man said. "That won't be necessary, I will take care of her." I said, gaining everyone's attention. "I knew you wouldn't stay away for very long." Delilah replied, making me laugh. "Hush up and let me fix you." I replied walking over to her. Delilah closed her eyes as I restored her injuries. The places that were missing chunks were now whole and her pain was gone. "What about Pythia?" Delilah asked. "They are already working on her. Athea has sent spirit to heal her faster." I said sadly. "Don't worry. She is strong, she will be fine." Delilah replied. "I know she will be. Let's get you somewhere you can rest." I said, running her hand through my fur. "Take me where Pythia will be. I want to be with her." Delilah said tiredly.

We walked to the room where everyone was waiting for Pythia to be brought to. Delilah laid on the floor and closed her eyes. "Lucinda, we weren't expecting you." Tye said softly. "I know, we have been watching and I couldn't stay away any longer. I have healed Delilah and Athea is waiting to be told when to bring everyone back." I replied. "Is Pythia going to be okay?" Tye asked. Tears fell down his face and I smiled softly. "She will be. She will need time to heal though so be patient." I replied. "What were those light beams?" Alley asked. "Pythia unlocked who she truly is. She is the bringer of light and dark or known as the bringer of life and death. She is who decides on if people gain a second chance or not, but ultimately she decides where they spend their afterlife." I replied. Shock registered on all their faces. "We will explain more in time. I must get back and help Athea. We will bring everyone back shortly." I said before I closed my eyes and went back to our realm. It was done, they had won but the most important thing is for them all to rebuild and heal themselves.
