Chapter 18:

Pythia POV:

"Yes, that is correct. Now I don't know all the twists and turns but we have kept up with our relatives. There aren't many of us left, truth be told, just know Pythia that you have people on your side. Don't worry about Damien and Storm, I will handle the two of them." Phil said. "What are you going to do?" I asked. "Make their life hell to the point they resign the position they hold, then the grand elders will shun them or kill them. Our mission is to keep the peace and we will help you do that but you need to act as if we don't know each other, understood?" Phil said sternly. "Yes, I do." I whispered. "Good, now I must head back. Take a few days to go over what I said and if you have any more questions, summon me here and we will speak." Phil said standing up. None of us moved. "For what it is worth, we are very grateful to each of you. You all took a giant step in peace and now it is our turn to keep a hold on it, and Alley, it is very nice to finally meet you. We will see each other after this mess is cleared up." Phil said, smiling at Alley. "Pythia, may I have a word in private with your mate?" Phil asked. I looked over my shoulder at Tye who had smiled and winked at me. I stood off his lap and watched as the two of them stared at each other. Phil walked over to me and wrapped me in a giant hug. "I am so proud of you, my niece. Try to relax knowing what you do." Phil said kissing the top of my head before him and Tye walked around the front. I stood there stunned not knowing what to do with everything I was told....

Tye POV:
My mind was reeling from what her uncle had to say. Pythia is half white witch and half dark witch. Her family was close to our ancestors. We stood a decent chance now and this was good news. I could feel her emotions going nuts and I worried for her and the baby. This was happening a lot. Our children will be mixed with being a wolf, dark witch and white witch. Now that is a game changer if you ask me. As I followed her uncle I took in his features. He looked nothing like a dark witch now that I look a little closer. We stopped by the stairs when he turned to face me. "Look, I know I have no right after I have missed so much of her life, but promise me you will take care of her. I am not going to sit here and tell you this will be easy because it won't and we have until the baby arrives to make everything happen." Phil said, running his hands through his hair. "I will take care of her. Rex and I would never let anything happen to them." I replied evenly.
I wasn't upset that he was having this talk with me, if anything it made me feel better knowing fully that she had a family of her own. "I am trusting you all to take care of her. Right now she will need it more than anything. Help her get in touch with the white witch within her, I will aid when I can. Alley will be able to help her understand that side of her." Phil said. "We need to figure out how much she can use, I don't want her using to much and hurting herself or our child." I replied. I will not have her put herself in harms way ever. "I will drop a book off sometime tonight after I get settled, it will go over details of what she can and can't do. Take care of that book because it is the only one of its kind." Phil said. "We will do that. I will learn whatever I need to, but I do have a question. How will this affect our children?" I asked. "That I do not know. There are no others that we know of that are mixed with three kinds of races, this is something we will all have to learn about." Phil replied. I took a deep breath, a little frustrated at myself for thinking I would get an answer so easily.
"We will figure this out one way or another but I must go now. I look forward to getting to know you, just remember to act as if we don't know each other." Phil said as he extended his hand out towards me. "Well that will be easy considering I don't know you." I laughed and grasped his hand. "Until the gathering on Saturday." Phil said before he disappeared. I could feel Pythia getting worked up and I knew I needed to get my ass back to her. We have a lot of research to do in a short amount of time but at least we had help and now we had a new found hope. I just couldn't believe everything that was said. All of this is like a bunch of knots that we have to unravel carefully so that we are not taking on too many things at once. This could be a huge change to bring the races together the way we want to. "Hey man you okay?" Jackson asked, pulling me from my thoughts. "Yeah, this is just a lot to take in at once. I need to get back to Pythia though." I said, taking a deep breath.
"She is fine for right now, take some time to get your head right. Everything will be fine." Jackson said, patting my shoulder. I knew everything would be fine in time but I needed to make sure my mind was clear as well as Pythias. We couldn't allow ourselves to be lost in this. "I'm counting on you too Rex." I said. "You know you can always count on me. Don't think too far into that though because you are still a pain in my ass." Rex muttered, making me laugh. He can be such a brat sometimes but I knew he meant well. There would be no way we would let anything happen to our little family, we have waited too long for it to let it go now....
