Chapter 66:

Pythia POV:

After we unpacked at the hotel we quickly went to the west coven, they are the ones who stayed in the shadows more than any of us but they always know what is happening. Even though they were not scared of vampires or wolves they didn't know how they would react to them. No one even knew that they were out here because of how well they cloaked themselves. Since we have been ordering the peace they have built themselves a lovely little village deep in the woods. It was a very welcoming sight to see, little cottages wrapped with vines, they chose to go back to the olden days with hanging clothes to dry, going down to the river for buckets of water. As we walked closer we started gaining peoples attention, and a spark of happiness came across many of their faces. This was the first time we are meeting. "Pythia, it is so good to see you." Jenny said as she walked towards us. 

I placed Jenny as the head elder in this coven, she comes from the original family and knows everyone here so it only seemed like the right thing to do. "It is good to see you too Jenny. How is everything going?" I asked. "It has been going smoother than I thought it would. You have been having a rougher go at things though." Jenny replied. "How many have left?" I asked. "Not many, only ten. I gave everyone the choice to choose a side." Jenny replied. "Ten is still too many. Schooling going good still?" I asked. "Yes it is, the eldest have been teaching the young ones. We have been invited to some wolf and vampire activities and we have invited them to some of ours. I see you brought a mix." Jenny said, looking around. "This is my mate Tye, and our son Apollo. The twins are my brothers, Jenson and Jasper. That is Braxton and Troy." I replied pointing to everyone. 

Jenny was eyeing Braxton, the man was built like a damn wall but that is beside the point. "I have gathered everyone at the center. They are waiting for you." Jenny quickly said as a blush crept to her face. I glanced over at Braxton who was smiling wide. Now that should be interesting.As we got closer I saw blankets that were laid out on the ground where people were sitting. This is the opposite of where we lived but I liked this. Reminded me of camping. I was greeted with smiles and wide eyes, although the eyes were mainly on the twins or the vampires which I expected. I handed Apollo to Jenson who quickly cradled him into his chest. They were by far the best uncles to him and I couldn't be more grateful for them. "Hello everyone, this is not how I initially wanted to meet everyone but here we are. I am Pythia, this is my mate Tye and our guards. I know you were informed about the grand elders and I know you saw some members leave and that is their choice. I want to give everyone one last choice. You either side with us or you fight against us." I said easily. 

As I looked around I could see the disgust on their faces, "We like the wolves." A young lady replied. "The vampires are pretty cool too. They are super fast." A little boy said happily, making Braxton and Troy laugh behind me. A smile came to my face. There is hope after all. "We are moving the remaining of you to our home, we want the young ones protected during the fight." I stated. "Who will protect them?" Jenny asked. "The vampire queen, Ambrosia and the great white witch, Alley." I replied. Gasps came from a few people. "They are willing to protect our children?" A woman asked. "Of course they are. They are both my sister in laws and currently pregnant. We will go over everything once we have everyone there." I replied. Eyes shifted to Tye, they looked him up and down shocked to hear that his sister is the great white witch. "We will be around for a little bit before we head to the next coven so please, feel free to speak with us." I said smiling at everyone.

The best option right now is to try to spend as much time with them as I possibly could to form the bond that is needed. We are stronger together and the more they are comfortable with us the better. The first ones to run up to us were the children. There weren't very many of them but they were so excited to see the twins. "Are your wolves the same too?" A little girl asked. "Are they super tall?" A little boy asked, making me laugh. "They are similar but not the same." Jasper replied. "They are taller than Pythia." Jenson added. "Can we see?" The little girl asked. They both looked at me and I shrugged my shoulders. I took Apollo and was backed up by Braxton and Troy. "You little ones might want to step back a little." Tye said. The kids scrambled to stand behind us but their little heads peaked around just as the boys shifted. "Look! He is so big!" The little boy screamed as he ran up to Jaspers large wolf. I watched as the kids ran in between their feet and I heard their wolves snort.

"I think they like the little ones." Tye whispered to me. "I think they do too. Who would have thought those two brutes adored children so much." I replied laughing. "Pythia?" My head turned to see a group of what looked like older teenagers. They had looks on their face that told me they were nervous. I walked forward gently and with a warm smile. "You all looked nervous. Scared even." I said gently. "We are still learning our magic. What if- what if we aren't good enough before the fight?" The boy said. "What is your name?" I asked. "Levi." He replied. "Listen Levi. Just because you are still learning does not mean you are not ready for anything. I want you all to know that you do not have to fight. I can't begin to tell each of you how sorry I am for all of this happening. You have nothing to be afraid of. When we get back to our lands you will see how many wolves and vampires will protect you." I replied gently. "You all are just kids. You will all be protected." Tye said from behind me. 

"We just don't want to let anyone down." Levi replied. "You will have the option to train. Physically train with our warriors, you can't rely on magic all the time. There will be a shield that stops the use of dark magic. You will need to learn how to defend yourself as if you are just human." Tye stated. "Women can train too, right?" The girl asked. "Yes, even I will train. It is good for your health as well. We have some of the best female warriors." I replied with a smile. "When can we leave?" Levi asked. "We will have one of the twins take everyone tonight. We have to go to the East coven next.\`\` I replied. "You haven't heard?" The girl asked. "Heard what?" I asked. "The east coven has left to go with the grand elders. They split up the kids and sent them to other covens but there is no one over there." She replied. Now that is shocking. I guess it isn't too shocking since they were the most reluctant ones out of the covens. But they sent away their kids? "I will talk with Jenny here in just a bit, why don't y'all go and pack what you can." I said with a small smile.

As soon as they were out of hearing distance I turned to Tye. "Why send the kids away?" I asked. "Something doesn't seem right about that." Tye replied. "It's like they sent the kids away to be safe but knew they would still be around wolves and vampires which is what the elders are against so what is going on?" I stated, not to anyone in general, more of a thinking out loud thing. "Do you know where Jenny is?" I asked. "Her and Braxton are flirting but I heard what was said. Do you think the elders are forcing them to fight with them?" Troy asked. "That could be a possibility, maybe they didn't have enough so they are trying to force people now." I replied. "We have been down this road before and it ended up decently." Tye said. I looked at him confused until I remembered Atsila. He was forced to do Boschs bidding because they had his mate but this seems different. If they sent the kids away then what did the elders have on them? "Something is definitely off, we need to send people to investigate." I said. 

Tyes eyes glazed over and I knew he was talking with someone, maybe his sister or Jackson. "Stephen is sending the trackers now." Tye said. I love that I don't even have to really ask before he starts making sure everything is going the way it should. "Troy, do me a favor and bring Jenny to me." I said. I heard him grumble as he walked off. I watched as people rushed around grabbing what they could to get ready to go. My mind drifted back off to what the elders could have done to make an entire coven give up their kids and join them. "You wanted to see me?" Jenny asked, pulling me from my thoughts. "The coven to the east brought their kids here but went to join the elders?" I asked. "Yes, they didn't say anything. Literally nothing at all. Their movements were kind of robotic and odd but they are the most secluded and I don't know how they normally behave." Jenny replied. "That doesn't make any sense. Just because you are secluded doesn't mean you act like a robot." Braxton chimed in. "What did they look like?" I asked. 

I watched as Jenny scrunched her face up for a brief moment. "They looked really dirty, kind of like they were constantly zoned out or something. Slow moving but it was like it was all calculated. They didn't speak and hardly blinked. The kids seem normal though. Very lively." Jenny replied. "Sounds like they are under some type of spell." Tye said. "Yeah, like a zombie spell." Troy added. I rolled my eyes at him. "There isn't a zombie spell. I will have Lillith look and see what she can find but it does sound like they are under some kind of spell." I replied as I pulled my phone out and started to text Lillith. "Tye, can you alert Alley and the others?" I asked. "Already on it." Tye replied. "We need to get to the other covens quickly before the elders get to them. Jasper! Jenson! Shift back, we need to go." I shouted. "Alley said that the North coven just arrived at the pack lands seeking shelter. They said their homes have been burned." Tye growled out. "Fuck, we need to get a move on now. We need to get to the center coven now." I replied.

What the hell are the elders up to? Placing one under a spell and burning another one down? "What is going on?" Jasper asked. "I need you to take Apollo home and stay with him. Jenson go get our stuff and take it home then come back here and make sure everyone gets back to our land." I replied, handing Apollo to Jasper. He didn't need to be told twice to take his nephew home. Jenson quickly disappeared. "I will make sure everyone is ready by the time he gets back." Jenny replied before she ran off. "Alright everyone get in a circle and grab hands." I said quickly. As soon as everyone was touching I took us to the largest coven we had that was right in the middle of all of us. Hopefully they are prepared for what is going on.
