Chapter 79:
Pythia POV:
It was almost time for us to leave, I told everyone to dress in black head to toe so we wouldn't be spotted easily, I was waiting on Lillith and Stony to bring the crystals and bags so we could break through and get where we needed to go. "Alright how bad is this stuff going to stink?" Lee asked, scrunching his nose. "Pretty bad. I used feral wolves scent and created something very similar so that you will smell like them." I replied. They all groaned. "That dude fucking stinks." Jasper said. "A skunks ass smells better than him." Jenson added. I rolled my eyes at them. "When we get back you can all go and shower but for now go ahead and spray yourselves of I will and if I have to I am going to use more than needed." I said, narrowing my eyes. "Pythia?" I heard my name being called and I turned to see Beth, I handed the bottles off to the men before I turned back around and walked to her. "Is everything alright?" I asked. "Yes, yes of course. I was just wondering if I could take Apollo to Alleys house? Ambrosia will be there too and I would rather have the kids together and Ambrosia there with me in case anything happens." Beth said.
She was incredibly nervous, "If that makes you feel safer then yes of course but, I don't ever want you to doubt yourself and your strength. You have made amazing progress and you are strong." I replied easily because that was the truth. "I will protect the children with my life. I would just feel better if they were all together." Beth said. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a tight hug. "You are their aunt. We will trust your judgment on things when we are not around." I replied. The smile that was on her petite face could brighten the darkest of nights. I am so glad Jasper has someone like her. "That means more to me than you know." Beth replied softly. "You are family Beth, remember that. Now run along. Hopefully this won't take long and we will be back soon." I replied. Beth looked over my shoulder to Jasper and her face scrunched up the closer he got. "You stink." Beth giggled.
He walked past me and I had to cover my nose. Beth backed away from him laughing. "No sir, you are not getting that funk over me. I have to go pick up Apollo from Adam. I love you!" Beth yelled as she ran off. Jasper turned to me and narrowed his eyes. "Do it and I will punch you in the nose." I stated backing away from him. I turned to see unhappy alphas and it took a lot not to laugh. "Alright everyone listen up!" I yelled. Once the chatter stopped and everyone was focused on me I took a deep breath. "We have to be cautious tonight. No one is to be left behind. When we get there everyone will be attached by a rope so no one gets lost. We need to be on the inside and touching anything your hands can get on. The wall, roof or something solid of the house. When we get there and see the size of the house that will determine who goes where." I said. "Pythia, we have everything. We just need to get to the area to place the crystals." Lillith said, walking up to me holding small crystals in her hand.
I nodded my head, "Keep those on you. You and Stony are in charge of placing them." I replied, I looked back at Stony who had all the ropes around him. "Alright everyone grab hands and let's get at it." I said taking Tyes hand, Jenson stood on the other side of me and I waited a few moments, when everyone looked up at me I took a deep breath and exhaled. When I closed my eyes I felt the air around us rush past and when I opened my eyes we were in the woods. I looked around and couldn't see anything at all except a few trees that were close to us. "Lillith, Stony. Now." I whispered. I could feel their nerves and that helped me figure out where they were, before I knew it light started peaking through what looked like a small portal. It formed a doorway before it opened up a huge circular hole. I looked around and could see everyone was tense. I turned back and focused my eyes on what was behind the cloak.
I could see tents that were placed around a large two story run down house. A campfire was in between them to give them extra light to see and the anger in me started pushing through. Those bastards are staying close to my witches for another reason. "Calm my beauty. We will get them soon enough." Tye whispered in my ear. The more I looked around the more I realized the elders would never stay in a place like this. There was no other buildings around which made me more curious about where they were staying if they were not staying here. I could hear laughing in the distance and I tried my hardest to see but I couldn't. "Wolves a couple hundred yards out. Seems like it is all of them." Tye whispered. "How large?" I asked. "Pushing three hundred maybe." Jenson replied. "Keep yours ears up and try to listen to what they are saying." I said. "You think we could get a little closer?" Tye asked. "It would be risky but we can try." I replied. "Alright everyone sit tight and wait for Lillith and Stony, we will be back in a moment." I said before grabbing Tyes hand.
I looked around quickly before seeing a large tree not too far from where the house was. I didn't waste another second before taking us there. Tye pulled me closer to him and I started taking smaller breaths. I could hear some of the conversations that were taking place but I wanted to know where the elders were. Before I realized what was happening I could hear the conversations perfectly clearly. It took me a second to know that was because Tye had opened the link so I would be able to hear. "Those elders are stupid." A man said. "They couldn't even stay out here with us. Cowards." Another one snapped. "They have every right to fear us. They see what we can do." A woman replied. So there are female wolves here? Oh goddess please don't tell me they are trying to breed with the men too. "They said they would be back early in the morning and bring food. They need to bring us some damn water or something so we can at least bathe." A man said. Alright so the elders aren't here. "Are all the witches asleep?" A man asked. "Yeah we just threw them all in that nasty ass house. The elders said they had to be all in there at night." A woman replied. That is exactly what I needed to hear. I closed my eyes and took us back to our group that was waiting for us.
"We are ready." Lillith whispered. I nodded my head and looked around. "Everyone quickly wraps the ropes around your waists. We don't have much time." I whispered. Stony handed out the ropes that he handed to him and everyone worked quickly and I kept my head up scanning the area making sure no one sees us standing out here. "Focus on that house, we need to get inside of it. Half of you go upstairs while the rest stay down stairs and remember to touch anything you can." I said quickly. When I closed my eyes I could feel everyones energy and it wasn't fear I was feeling. It was determination and that alone made me proud.
When I opened my eyes we were all inside of the house and it took everything I had not to gag at the smell of this place. No one was in bed. They just laid wherever there was room, they looked like they haven't showered in months and they were definitely underfed. I walked over to the closest person that was by me and bent down to see that it was a woman, I moved her hair out of her face to see she had been beaten and her face, arms and neck was covered in dirt. I stood up quickly and looked around. "Scatter now. Let's get them out of here. Remember that we all need to concentrate to accomplish this." I whispered. I watched as everyone stepped over the people that were sleeping to move around the house. Lee, Jax and Ryan went upstairs with half of the group while the others stayed with me. "Spread out." I whispered. I walked back towards a wall and placed a hand firmly on the side while resting another on Tye.
I waited a few moments and looked around more. All my witches were here and we were about to get them the hell out of this place. "Everyone is ready." Tye whispered in my ear. "Tell them to begin." I replied closing my eyes. I had never concentrated so hard in my life and I could start to feel the house start to slightly shake. We needed to shake the foundation to get it to move easier because the last thing we needed was to take a chunk out of the earth with us. Come on Pythia you can do this. We can all do this. I kept repeating to myself. My breathing began to quicken as the house shook harder. I started hearing shouts from the distance but I couldn't pay attention to it. I knew we would gain some attention but right now that is not important. My hand tightened around the wall until my fingers started caving through it. I could feel the sweat start to form on my body with the amount of pressure I was putting on myself. "Why is the house shaking?!" "Who the fuck is in there?!" Shit the voices were getting closer. "Pythia! It isn't working!" Natalie yelled out. "Yes it is! Do not give up! Push harder my witches!" I roared.
I no longer cared if those damned wolves heard us in here or not. I could hear grunts of frustration throughout the house. I could not and would not leave this place without the rest of them, "Unleash your power my blessed queen." A soft voice rang out in my head, it was soothing to my thoughts but what did it mean? How do I do that? "You can do this my beauty." Tye said, with his words it was like something connected inside me, I could feel all the elements connect with each other. It was like I could see them all intertwine with each other. The house shook fiercely and I could feel the foundation raise off of the ground. I took a deep breath and in an instant I could feel the wind blow through my hair, it wasn't at a fast pace like it normally is. I could feel myself getting weaker with each second that passed but I just needed to hang on just a few more seconds. It was like I could see and feel where we were and I could see the lands just ahead of us.
"Almost there! Hang on everyone!" I screamed just before we came through the shield and crashed in to the field. The force of the house hitting the ground threw everyone around. Parts of the walls started to break apart with the roof. "Grab a witch and get out of this house!" I screamed out as the house started to cave in. I felt Tye rest his hand on my back while I spread my body as far as it could go touching any person that was around me before sending us back outside. I looked up to see everyone come out just as the rest of the house caved in. We did it. They are safe, they are home. We actually did it. I could hear screams coming from around us and I had just enough time to look up to see Alley and the others rushing towards us before I rested my head against Tye. "You did it. You all did it, I am so proud of you." Tye whispered. "Thank you, I just need to rest a minute." I replied weakly. "You did good my blessed queen." The voice rang out through my head. I needed to figure out where that voice is coming from.
