Chapter 10:

Pythia POV:

"What are you doing to do if we choose not to side with you on this?" Storm asked. "I have already put it in place. Should you go against it you will die." I replied in an even tone. "You can't kill us. There are more elders who think the same and have reported you to-" "Jessica shut up!" Damien snapped, cutting Jessica off. "Excuse me? Reported me to who?" I asked, taking a step forward, Ambrosia tensed next to me and unfolded her arms. "To the grand elders." Jessica finished with a smirk. "You think that scares me?" I asked, tilting my head to the side. "If you go against them they will kill you and that unborn mutt you have growing inside you." Jessica smirked. I leaped across the table at her only to have Ambrosia pull me back "You ever say some shit like that again about my child and I will kill you with my bare hands you bitch!" I roared. "Jessica that was out of line!" Damien screamed. "Pythia sweetie you have to calm down." Ambrosia said as she pulled me back. "Yeah calm down, you wouldn't want anything to happen." Jessica screamed. I heard crashing throughout the house and his scent hit me before anything did. "Pythia!" Tye roared as the door crashed open. "Ambrosia!" Jackson called out. I didn't even turn to see them, my eyes were focused on Jessica. "Oh look, mutts to the rescu-" Jessica was cut off by Ambrosia who in what seemed like one motion grab Jessica by the throat and pinned her against the wall
Ambrosia had her face inches from Jessicas, "If you ever speak ill of our mates again I will rip your tongue out. If you ever speak death upon our unborn children again I will rip your head from your shoulders. Do I make myself clear?" Ambrosia said, fangs out and venom in her voice. Damien ran forward and grabbed Ambrosias shoulder which earned him a deathly growl from Jackson who sent the table flying to the side. "If you touch her I will kill you Damien make no mistake." I seethed. He removed his hand and took a step back, "How can you let her hurt your elder!" Storm screamed. "How can you let your fellow elder wish death on unborn children?" I retorted. "Pythia what happened?" Alley asked as she walked in. Well hell they literally brought everyone. "That elder against the wall doesn't like wolves or vampires and doesn't want peace. She threatened the life of not only Ambrosias unborn child, but mine as well." I replied not taking my eyes off Damien who looked like he was going to pass out. "Now, I could take this to the elders or I can pass judgment here." I stated. Jessicas eyes went wide when it finally hit her that she was going to lose her life for her words. "Pythia think before you do anything!" Storm raged out. "There is no saving your friend. I said it over and over that peace will be kept and since you are all so stubborn and she stooped so low that she now can not be trusted she is going to lose her life. I will say this one more time. Peace will be kept and those who go against it will die." I said looking around to everyone.
Ambrosias hand tightened around Jessicas neck to the point her nails dug in and drew blood, Jessica screamed in pain and I did not feel sorry for her at all. She can't be trusted now, Ambrosia tilted her head to the side before she took her other hand and sunk it within Jessicas chest pulling her heart out. Damien and Storm didn't utter a single word. "I guess you both need to get to work on finding another elder to replace her. She will get no ritual funeral either so don't try it. Now if there is nothing else I am leaving." I said, turning my back to see literally all the alphas and lunas that had filled in the room. It dawned on me then that these people whom I would have never even considered being friends with were the first to come when something happened. Tye probably felt my rage but they didn't have to come and yet they did. I am so used to doing things alone and they have shown me time after time that I don't have to do that anymore. Tye placed his hand in mine and together we all walked out of that disgusting house. It's hard to even look at it, I have put everything in place for us to make upgrades and I can't wait for it to be done. "Let's go have dinner." Alley said cheerfully, I know she is trying to lighten the situation and what had just happened. "I am starving to be honest.
As they walked ahead I held Tye back. "What is it my green eyed beauty? Are you okay? The baby?" Tye fired off questions left and right so I placed my hand over his mouth. "I am fine, we are fine but I have been turned in to the grand elders and I will be summoned there and I will have to go through a trial. You need to prepare yourself as do I. This is going to be a bumpy road, this has happened because I am keeping the peace and because I am mated to you. We will go into more details tonight but I need to tell you." I said not being able to look him in the eye. I just want everything to be easy and it seems like it won't be. "Hey, no matter what I will be here, so will the others, you won't go through this alone and we'll figure all of this out my beauty I promise." Tye said kissing my forehead. We just need to get through this trial and hopefully come out unscathed.
