Chapter 124:

Pythia POV:

The last few months have been the most relaxing I have ever had. I completely re-decorated our house with the help of Lucinda. We have taken so many photos and family photos and I wanted to start a complete family wall that could be added on to as the years go by. I was finishing up the final touches in the new nursery even though I knew they probably wouldn't be sleeping alone in here. We even placed a big bean bag thing for Delilah to sleep on. I wanted to go over and check on Beth, she had Spencer a few months ago and we all have been visiting everyday so she didn't have to worry about coming to us. "Delilah is waiting outside." Lucinda said from the door. I laid my hands across my now large belly and turned around. Delilah and I were going to merge today so she could help me through the delivery. Apollo hurt really badly. I couldn't imagine what it is like to have twins but I am about to find out.

Alley has been giving me tips and stuff on how to manage two of them but I honestly don't think there is any amount of advice in the world that will help me.I waddled my way downstairs with Lucinda at my side, Tye was finishing up some work with Brandon and Leia because he wanted to take at least a week off to stay with me while Lucinda goes back to visit with Athea to give us some space for a few days. Even though I told her she didn't have to because I knew she wanted to be here but she decided otherwise. At least she will be with me and Tye in the delivery room to help me get through this. I was nearly breathless when we finally got to the bottom of the stairs. "Are you okay? We don't have to go, I'm sure Beth will understand." Lucinda said quickly. "I'm okay and I really want to go, I won't be able to see them for a week or so here soon." I replied.

Lucinda walked to the kitchen only to resurface with a bottle of water. She held it out to me and I gladly took it. We started making our way out the door only to be met by Tye. "I thought you were going to be busy today." I said with a smile. "I finished early and I wanted to go and see Beth and Spencer. Plus you are not walking all the way over there." Tye said sternly. "Julie said walking is good and could induce labor." I replied. "You were breathless going down the stairs, Tye is right. You can't walk all the way over there." Lucinda said, making me pout. I guess they decided to tag teams against me. "I can ride on Delilah then." I said, crossing my arms over my chest. "No, you two are about to merge, you can ride on Rex." Lucinda said sternly, narrowing her eyes at me. I knew better than to argue with her because it was like arguing with myself.

"Alright, fine. You both win." I muttered as I waddled towards Delilah. I heard the two of them snickering behind me, I looked up at Delilah and Opened my arms and wrapped her in a hug before closing my eyes. Delilah and I have been practicing and it has become much easier to merge with her. I was engulfed with a warm wave of safety and security washed over me and I smiled. When I opened my eyes I was the only one standing in the yard. I turned back around to see that Tye had already shifted and Rex was laying on the ground waiting for me. I walked back over and Lucinda helped me climb on to his back. It took me a moment to get settled but when I finally did Rex was up and moving carefully. I took a deep breath and looked around. Everything has progressed so quickly in what seemed like a short amount of time, we now had schools up and running, more shopping centers were built and we were officially all mingled in together.

I was honestly impressed with how fast everything was built and done. I felt better knowing that our kids would be going to school with the public so they could experience everything and probably go a lot farther in life than we ever could. The twins were bouncing around like they were anxious to come out. I was beyond ready. I felt like I haven't slept in months because I could never get comfortable. The more we moved the more the pain was setting in. I placed my hands around my belly and felt my body tense up. Rex froze in his place and looked over his shoulder. "I need down." I gasped. "Pythia what's wrong?" Lucinda said, looking up at me. Rex laid down and whined as he looked at me. It felt like a cage was starting to close around my belly and I doubled over. "Ow shit." I hissed. "Pythia?" Tye asked, walking up to me. I looked up at him and felt my water break, "Take me to Julie. NOW!" I yelled trying to take deep breaths. Lucinda grabbed us both and teleported us to Julies office.

Julie flung backwards, "She is in labor." Lucinda said easily. "Alright, come with me we need to get you set up and prepared. Come with me." Julie said, rushing out of the room. Tye picked me up and ran after her, I could hear him yelling through the link but Delilah blocked everything out. "Breath Pythia." She said calmly. I thought the first time was hard but this was much much worse. It was double the pain of literally everything. "We need to get her undressed and changed." Julie said quickly as she ran across the room to get a gown. Tye sat me on the bed and started taking my shoes off. My breathing was becoming shallow and I could feel the sweat forming on my forehead. I took my shirt off but left my sports bra on, Lucinda helped me get to my feet while Tye removed my pants and panties. Julie tossed the gown to Lucinda and while she was helping me put it on Julie was across the room washing her hands and calling for her nurses. "Anytime Delilah." I snapped. "It's too late for any type of meds, I'm sorry Pythia. Focus on your breathing. Take deep breaths." Julie said across the room.

I grunted as I laid back on the bed, "Beth. Tell Beth." I rasped. "Already done, don't worry about anything else right now." Tye said brushing my hair back. "Alright we have to get started." Julie said and she sat in her little chair by my feet. I felt Delilah push forward and I sunk back to give her the control she needed. I could still feel the pain but it was a little more bearable, "Here we go. Big push for me." Julie said. Tye had one of my legs pulled back while Lucinda had the other. I helped Delilah push with everything I had in me and I swear I felt like I was being ripped apart at this moment. "Almost there one more." Julie called out, a few seconds later the babies scream filled the room. "Looks like little Archer wanted to come first." Julie said with a smile before she handed him off to a nurse to get cleaned up. I wanted to see him but couldn't form words because another round of pain hit me hard. "Amina is next, deep breaths my beauty, you are doing great." Tye said, kissing my forehead.

Julie prepared herself before looking up and nodding at me. Together Delilah and I pushed until my little Aminas screams pierced our ears. "I'm so proud of you." Lucinda said brushing my hair back. I felt Delilah sink to the back of my mind. "Thank you Delilah." I whispered. "You're welcome. I look forward to meeting them." Delilah replied, sounding a little tired. "While they are getting cleaned up, why don't we get you in the shower to clean off? You didn't tear or anything so you don't need any stitches." Julie said easily. "You did great, Pythia." She added with a smile. "Delilah helped." I muttered. I was completely drained but knew I needed to stand on my feet. It was their protocol to make sure all the muscles didn't tense up. Tye helped me stand on my feet and I could hear the shower was already turned on. "Are they okay?" I asked. "They are perfect, you and Delilah did amazing." Tye whispered.

He helped me wash off and put a new gown on before helping me walk to our new room where Lucinda was waiting with the twins. Lucinda stood to her feet as we entered and my eyes landed on the two little baskets that now held Archer and Amina. Tye and I walked over to see they were sleeping already. "Let's get you on the bed and I'll bring them over to you." Tye said quietly. As soon as I was situated on the bed he carefully wheeled them over to me. I couldn't stop looking at them, Apollo was a perfect blend of me and Tye but Amina had his hair and facial features while Archer had mine. I smiled looking at them, our family was perfect and it felt complete. Julie walked in the room with a smile. "As long as you recover quickly as you should, you all can go home in a little while. Do I need to go over everything again or do you remember?" Julie asked, looking between us. "We remember." I laughed. "Okay good, then you should know I will be over at least once a day to check on the three of you. I’ll get your papers ready.” Julie said as she walked back out of the door.

Truthfully I wanted to go home now. I could feel Delilah healing me already and soon I’ll feel just fine. I looked back over to see Amina was starting to stir. I reached over and picked her up and cradled her closely as her little eyes popped open. She had icy blue eyes just like her father except hers were a little bit brighter. “Hi my beautiful.” I whispered. Amina stretched her little body out and I heard Archer let out a soft cry. Tye picked him up and sat beside me on the bed so we could easily see them. I looked down at him to see his eyes were a bright green like mine used to be. “They are perfect.” Delilah whispered, making me smile.

I looked up at Lucinda who had tears in her eyes. “You both did so good.” She whispered. “Well she did all the work.” Tye smirked, making me laugh. “She has your eyes. Maybe she will learn your looks too.” I said looking down at her. “Oh I plan on teaching her, plus she now has two older brothers.” Tye said, rubbing his thumb down Archers cheek. “How do you feel?” Lucinda asked. “Actually pretty good. Delilah started healing me as soon as everything was done. I feel a little tired but that’s it.” I replied honestly. “I’ll go check and see if we can take you home.” Lucinda replied walking out of the door. “We can teleport so we aren’t stopped.” Tye said quickly.

I know everyone wants to see them but right now we wanted them all to ourselves for a little while before we exposed them to everyone else. The door opened and Ambrosia stepped in with a bag of clothes. “I figured you want something comfortable to wear to go home in.” Ambrosia said, smiling widely at us. “I didn’t even think of that. Thank you.” I replied. Lucinda came back in and nodded at me. I shifted my weight and handed Amina to Lucinda. I took the bag of clothes and went to the bathroom. Ambrosia closed the door behind us, “let me untie the back and I’ll give you some privacy.” She said, “I don’t think there is such a thing in the moment.” I laughed. “True, I’m glad Delilah is healing you up though. It’s a lot different from before.” Ambrosia said.

She was right. I didn’t have Delilah when I had Apollo so my recovery was a little longer. “Perks of having a wolf.” I replied as I got dressed. “A crowd has already gathered outside. I’ll send them all home. Do you want me to keep people outside of the house to keep people away?” Ambrosia asked. “I’m going to send out a message through the link to keep people away but thank you for the offer. Y’all are always welcome.” Tye replied easily. “We will give you a day or so to adjust.” Ambrosia said with a smile before she left. “Julie said you are free to go whenever you want to.” Lucinda said, tucking Amina into her arms. “I’d like to go now and I want Apollo home.” I replied. She nodded her head and I reached out to her and Tye and teleported us home. It wasn’t long before Alley appeared with a very happy Apollo.

He tried to run for us but Alley scooped him up. “Remember what I said?” She asked, looking down at him. “Yes babies are small and be super careful.” Apollo said with a smile. She put him back on his feet and he slowly walked over to us before stopping in front of Lucinda and Tye. I walked over to Alley and hugged her. “Thank you for watching him today.” I said, stepping back. “Anytime you need me I will. Now I’ll leave you all be. We will see you guys in a few days.” Alley said easily before she disappeared again.

I turned my attention back to my new little family and I couldn’t help but think about everything we have overcome to get to this point. I’ve fought in two battles and met Tye in the first one. We were blessed with our little Apollo shortly after and life was going good until the second battle but what came after was what was most valuable. Lucinda and I became very close and she filled the void of the mother I always needed making me feel complete. Our wedding happened and now we have two new babies. My life honestly couldn’t be any better than what it currently is and I am truly blessed.....
