Chapter 69:
Pythia POV:
Last night I barely slept, I felt much better after my bath, the moment Apollo woke up he stayed in my arms or within my arms reach. We have a mass meeting this afternoon but I told people I did not want to be bothered so I could spend the morning with Apollo. We are currently sitting on the living room floor while he grabs any toy that makes noises to play with. "Good morning sis." Jasper yawned as he walked to the kitchen. "Good morning brother. Where is your twin?" I asked. "He is still sleeping I guess. He was out training late last night." Jasper replied. Both of them have been overdoing it with training lately and I started to worry that they were not getting enough sleep. They wanted to make sure they could use their elements with no issues as well as hand to hand combat. Brandon and Leia have kept themselves busy training others and now that so many witches have come here they have been working overtime.
Truthfully I couldn't wait to start training again, I needed to practice tapping into the elements, I could use those to my advantage. Apollo stood on his little shaky with a drooly smile. "What are you doing, handsome boy?" I asked. He looked at me and made those cute little baby noises before he tried to stumble his way to me. "You are getting too big too fast!" I giggled. "He sure is." Tye said standing in the doorway with a huge smile plastered on his face. The moment Apollo heard his daddies voice his little head snapped around and he wobbled his way towards him. Tye bent down and picked him up tickling him under his chin making our son giggle. I swear my heart could burst at any moment. "What is on the agenda for today?" Jenson asked. "Well it's about time you got your lazy ass up." Jasper muttered. "Don't start shit bag you've been training just as hard.'' Jenson replied. "Come on, you two don't start bickering like high school teenagers already." Tye said, looking at them.
"Maybe you two should manage your time better so you are not draining yourselves." I said looking at them. "It'll be harder now that we have more people to help train." Jasper said. "Well how about one day you help them train the next day you work on your elements instead of putting them in the same day." I replied. Neither of them said anything for a moment before the light started to come on. "Yeah that would make more sense to do." Jasper said. "It would open up relaxation time." Jenson added. "Has anyone said anything about what happened?" I asked. "No, they still won't talk to anyone but you." Tye replied. "Alright well lets get this started. The faster we get this figured out the faster we can all start to train." I said. I turned to look at the twins. "You both have ten minutes to get ready and be at the front with us. I am cutting off training time at six so everyone can go home and rest and spend time with their families and that includes the two of you. Got it?" I said sternly. They both nodded their heads before they ran up to their rooms.
I swear sometimes they are just like teenagers. I decided to wear comfortable shorts and a tank top with my hair pulled back. My burn marks have lightened slightly but I wanted them all to see just what the elders can do and will do. This is not going to be taken lightly by any of us. When we stepped outside I was greeted by Jason, Braxton, Troy and Ambrosia. "We wanted to walk with you." Ambrosia said with a smile. "I really appreciate that." I replied. I heard the door close behind me and Jasper and Jenson looked a lot better than they did a few moments ago. I knew everyone was already gathered and waiting for us but as we got closer and I saw just how many people there were it kind of took me by surprise. It wasn't just members of my coven, it was surrounding packs and vampires as well. If anything we will have a strong stance, a strong appearance and a strong group of people. I was not expecting the other wolves and vampires to be here but in all actuality I am glad they are here. This shows me even more just how much we have all bonded over the last year.
My eyes focused on my family standing at the front of everyone along with the council. People started turning to look at us as we walked by. Some had shocked looks when they looked at me over, most had anger all over them at what they were seeing. I hoped seeing my burns fuels their anger to do what needs to be done. We need to remember those who the elders have killed, we must hold them accountable. When we finally got to the front I turned and faced everyone. The wolves looked ready to kill, the vampires looked edgy but my witches looked flat out angry. "First, I want to thank you all for being here. I know times are rough right now but they won't stay that way. To those who have lost your homes I am incredibly sorry. None of you deserved that, none of you deserve to be caught in the crossfire." I stated. "The reason we have called on you is to go over what is going to happen, we need to prepare. My witches, you will train in hand to hand combat. Stephen has a specific shield that protects against dark magic so it will be useless. You need to learn to defend yourself without it." I said.
"You will be able to choose a training partner at first to learn the basics and then we will break into groups and spar off as practice. This is completely safe." Alley said as she stepped up next to me. "The children and those who do not want to fight will stay with Ambrosia and I. Children will be placed in school while the others will be given work and will go through medical training." Alley added. "We are going to be placing two shields around us, my shield that neutralizes dark magic and a fire shield that keeps out people will ill intentions." Stephen said. "So if any of you have any ill feelings I suggest you work it out quickly because if you are in here while it is up it will kill you from the inside out." I added. No one seemed bothered by that. "Who are the other people behind you?" Dan asked. "The people behind me are a council made up of alpha wolves and the chosen six. You all know that Alley is the great white witch and her mate who comes from a royal line leads that council." I replied. "You may get to know us, we would love for you all to be as comfortable as possible." Alley said with a smile.
"We all need to put our very best into this. We do not know when the next time they will try to strike again but we will be ready. Dan I do need to speak with you about what happened. I want everyone to go ahead and pick a partner. You must mix match. We have to learn all angles of this." I said. Everyone scrambled to their feet and started to pair off. "When you find a partner, start breaking off in different groups, one group will train while the other works out and tomorrow it will be reversed. Jasper will guide those who combat today and Jenson will guide those who will work out today." I yelled out. The twins split and waited for groups to start forming while Dan walked straight to me. "How are you healing?" Dan asked. "I am healing fine, I need to know what happened though." I replied. Tye stepped a little closer to me so he could hear over everyone else. Dan ran his hand through his hair, "The grand elders showed up saying you called for war and we needed to stand with them against you. I told them we already knew the outcome and that they called for war and that we would never fight against our queen and they didn't like it." Dan stated.
So they showed up randomly and tried telling others that I called for war? "They tried to force us into it saying that if we stood with you and lost they would strip us of our magic and lock us all away. They scared the children but not us adults. They said one coven has already joined them though." Dan added. "I don't think they willingly joined them. Did they say if anyone else was on their side?" I asked. "What do you mean they didn't willingly join them? They didn't say much other than they had an army." Dan replied. "We think they have been placed under a spell." Jenny said as she and Braxton walked towards us. Now how did I know the two of them would pair up. "Why do you think that?" Dan asked. "Because they brought their children to us, their movements were very odd. They didn't speak, hell I don't even think they blinked." Jenny replied.
I had Lillith and Stony looking into what kind of spell that could be and so far they have not found anything. "What kind of army are they forming?" I asked. "Well they can't find anyone around here that is for sure, I mean I guess they could gather people from overseas." Dan replied. "Those people are fucking savages." Tye muttered. "It will take them some time to get them all and train them and form some type of plan. It seems they went after covens here irrationally." Braxton said. That is true, they will have to convince them or promise them someone for the ones overseas to even join. "I need to work on the elements. If I can bend them then I need to figure out how." I said. "I believe we can help with that." Davina said. All of our heads snapped up to see all the element carriers standing around us. "You all would help?" I asked. "Of course we will help. Athea asked us to train you the best we can so that you can be prepared." Atsila replied.
Well this is certainly shocking. This was the last thing I ever expected to happen. "Well thank you. I wasn't expecting this." I said. "No need to thank us. We want to help keep the balance as well. We can't take part in the actual fight but we can get you where you need to be." Davina replied. "Let's all get to our training spots, we will finish this conversation later." I said. I started feeling excited. I was finally about to learn how to use these elements.
