Chapter 85:

Pythia POV:

Now that we have a plan in place on how we are going to train and learn, I needed to get Delilah to know and understand who our family is. I can't have her growling and snapping at anyone that gets too close. "Ambrosia, you got a wolf right?" I asked. "Yes, she is very stubborn and has a very large smartass mouth." Ambrosia replied, making me laugh. "What is her name?" I asked. "Her name is Sage, she is very large like Rex, her fur reminds me of a golden sunrise." Ambrosia replied. "Sage is a bitch, but she is my strongest fighter." Delilah said, catching me off guard. "Weird isn't it? Having them talk to you randomly." Ambrosia laughed. "It really is, Delilah said that yes, Sage is a bitch but she is her strongest fighter." I replied, making Ambrosia laugh. "She suits me well then, I don't know what I would have done if I didn't get a strong fighter at least. I am excited to meet Delilah, I heard she gets really protective." Ambrosia said. "Ah, yes she does. I need to get her familiar with everyone." I laughed.

"I can understand that, Sage nearly ripped apart Artemis's teacher, and don't get me started on leaving Ari. Sage was fuming. It's amazing how attached she already is to them." Ambrosia said. "Oh goodness, how is she with Jackson and his wolf?" I asked curiously. "She swoons over them honestly, I'm pretty sure my brain is going to drown from her drooling over them so much." Ambrosia grumbled before she flinched and huffed. I laughed watching her, it was like she was fighting herself and actually losing for once before she smirked. "Yeah, you and Sage are just alike." I laughed. "I need to go get Apollo from Beth but I wanted to come by and check on you before I did. I needed to make sure you were adjusting well." I said before hugging her. "Don't worry about me, I am doing fine. Now I need to go check on my vampires and make sure they are handling their new powers well." Ambrosia replied before her body started to shake lightly. "Step back." Delilah whispered. I did as I was told and had just enough time to move before Ambrosia had shifted into a large golden wolf, she shook out her fur before her bright gold eyes fell on mine.

I was shocked by how beautiful she looked, and how oddly good she matched Ambrosia. "You must be Sage." I said with a smile. A low growl came out before a huff. "Don't be rude to me Sage, Delilah wouldn't like that very much now would she." I snapped. "Why doesn't Delilah come out then?" Sages husky voice filled my head and I narrowed my eyes before images of the two of them training together. Sage is fast as hell, oddly flexible and has the ability to find weaknesses quickly. She is determined and hard working but stubborn as all get out. Every time the two of them squared off Delilah always won but Sage always gave her a run for her money. "Sage, you know what happens when Delilah comes out, you two will have the option to train again tomorrow so stop trying to pick a fight and take Ambrosia to go check on her vampires." I said. I watched as Sage huffed and then turned off to walk off. "So Delilah you've been watching over me?" I asked curiously.

"Yes, I took a vow to Lucinda that I would always look over you, and protect you. I am proud of who you have become." Delilah replied. "Were you ever going to come see me?" I asked. "It had crossed my mind a few times but I could never get away to do that. I came very close to coming when the last fight happened." Delilah replied. "Do you think Athea will let you stay with me?" I asked, truthfully I didn't want her to go. "Athea won't have a choice, I plan on staying. Since those other rogues will perish from this realm and the next, there is no need for me to go back." Delilah said stubbornly. "But what about Rex? How would that work if you two aren't mates?" I asked. It has crossed my mind a few times but I never put too much thought into it until I realized I wanted her to stay with me. "When I officially stay and truly become one with you I will automatically become Rexs mate, we will have to mark him of course." Delilah replied happily. "You mean like they did me? Like bite his shoulder? I'm not even sure how to do that." I said. "No worries, I will do it for us." Delilah replied laughing.

"I'm glad you aren't like Sage, she seems a bit intense but she does fit Ambrosia well." I said. "Yeah, Sage has come a long way, she wasn't all so bitchy before but she felt that she needed to make a name for herself which I understand. She looked up to Denver and Rose before they weren't sent off." Delilah replied. "I guess all of you are close? I mean you've all spent so much time together but where do all the people go?" I asked. Now that I really think about it no one has said they have seen people in Atheas world. "You shouldn't worry so much. People are there, you just can't see them because of where they are placed and what they do. They set their own personal paradise up to stay forever in." Delilah replied. Well that is nice to know, "Let's hope I don't have to plan my own paradise out just yet, but for now let's get Apollo. You haven't met him yet." I said happily. When I opened the door and walked in I seen Beth in the kitchen and as I looked around I saw Phil standing in the living room with my dad who was holding Apollo. Before I realized what was happening a loud growl rumbled out and I slapped my hands over my mouth. Everyone turned to look at me shocked. "Delilah! Stop that! Oh my goodness that is my dad and uncle." I said quickly. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize that. I just want to see him." Delilah replied.

I could feel how sorry she felt and I sighed, "Sorry, Delilah is still familiarizing herself with everyone." I said quietly before I walked over to my dad. His scent caught me off guard, "You didn't get a wolf?" I was shocked. "No, I don't want one, I'd rather use what I know and have." My dad replied. "But dad, you need one for what is happening." I stated. "No, I don't. I will focus more on the elders than anything and if it is my time to go then so be it." My dad replied stubbornly. I rolled my eyes before taking Apollo out of his arms. "Hi my handsome boy." I cooed at him. His little face looked confused and he reached out and touched around my eyes. "I will match you now. Cool huh?" I laughed. "Momma. Eyes." Apollo grumbled out. "Yes, just like yours now. I'm sure your daddy is waiting for us. Ready to go?" I asked. "Dada!" Apollo screamed and clapped. I could feel a shift in my head like there was pressure being put on me. "I am just going through memories so I know who is family and who is not." Delilah said gently. As I walked back through the house I stopped by Beth, "I will see you at dinner right?" I asked. "Yes ma'am. How are you adjusting?" Beth asked. "Better than I thought I would honestly. I figured it would be more difficult but Delilah has been really nice about everything." I replied.

"I am glad to hear that. I would like to meet Delilah soon though." My dad said walking up to us. "Well, we will be training and stuff so you can come by and see her." I replied. "I can do that, what does she look like?" My dad asked. "Look for the large jet black wolf." I giggled. "Well that certainly fits you." Phil laughed. "Yeah, she does. She's going through memories at the moment so she won't growl at anyone else." I replied. "That will be good, for now Phil and I have to go. We are having dinner with Olivia and Alcide." My dad said quickly as they walked through the house. "I'll see you both tomorrow at training." I called after them. I looked at Beth and it seemed like she was in deep thought. "What is wrong?" I asked, looking at her. Her aura stood out more than usual to me today. "I want to fight with you guys but something is different. Like I feel different." Beth replied, scrunching her face up. "What do you mean you feel different?" I asked. "It's hard to explain honestly, like I feel like me but not really." Beth replied. I looked closely at her and that's when I noticed her aura was a bright gold, it shined around her making her look like she was glowing.

I tilted my head to the side and kept looking, "Delilah? What does that mean?" I asked. "She is with child." Delilah replied easily. I looked from Beths belly to her face and I realized she was staring right at me. "What is wrong?" Beth asked. "Nothing is wrong, but um. I think you need to make an appointment with Julie first thing in the morning.." I replied slowly. "Wait what? Why? You think.." Beths words trailed off, "Well I don't think so. I know it. I can see, you have a bright gold glow all around you." I replied as I looked at her. I watched the emotions scatter across her face before I realized she was scared. "Hey, don't be scared. You have a family that will help you through all of this and if you'd like we can keep this between us and I can go with you in the morning? We can tell the boys that we are training like we have been so they don't ask any questions." I said quickly to assure her that she is not alone in all of this. "Thank you, this is really unexpected.. What am I going to tell Jasper? How am I going to tell him?" Beth asked.

"Let's get you looked at first and then I will help you figure out a way to tell him, let's go home and get you some dinner yeah? Some fresh air will do you good." I said quickly. As we walked across the field back home we didn't say anything, I didn't want to make her talk about something if she didn't want to. I could see she was talking to her wolf but I started feeling like someone was watching me and it started to make me feel uncomfortable. I looked around and didn't see anyone, "Delilah? Do you feel it?" I asked. I scanned my eyes around and still couldn't see anything at all. "Beth, please take Apollo." I whispered quickly. She didn't hesitate but gave me a confused look. I shook my head and continued to look around feeling more and more uneasy as I did. We kept the wall up around the shield in case someone wanted to try bombing us again, they would have to jump over the wall and we would be able to see them. "Pythia! Hey, this was left for you." Lillith said, running up to me. It was an envelope with my name scratched on it. The scent on it stunk like no other.

I could feel Delilah moving around, "What? What is it?" I asked quickly. "I don't know, we were walking by the boarders and I had seen it on the ground and figured someone dropped it or something." Lillith replied. I opened the envelope to see a piece of paper tucked in it, when I opened it, it took me a few times to read it because of the bad handwriting.

"I will be seeing you soon, you will be mine."

Was scribbled on it sending chills down my spine before a growl tore through me. My head snapped up and I wasn't even sure what I was looking for. "Bartholomew." Delilah growled out. "Who the hell is that?" I asked quickly. "He is the hybrid." Delilah replied. Oh fuck.
