Chapter 57:

Pythia POV:

We finally caught wind of where the crazed elders have been hiding out. While another unknown pack was patrolling they came across strange dark witches, their border patrols were badly injured so their alpha reached out to me. I didn't waste any time getting there and healing them, I felt horrible that our elders did something like this. What is the end game with them? We had been keeping watch for a few days and learned their routine. Early morning hours they would leave and wouldn't come back till nearly sun down. They didn't leave with anything and they didn't come back with anything which made me even more curious as to where they were going. Are they meeting with other people? Are they putting another plan together since Stephen shielded us? "We need to surround the house before they get back." I stated. "Will you need any help?" Alpha Alcide asked. "No, we should be fine. Thank you for the offer though." I replied. Having three alphas that didn't know each other in the same room was incredibly tense. 

Ambrosia and Jackson came with us since their team has been hunting with mine and Tyes. Needless to say Alpha Alcide is a very big flirt and was also unmated. Ambrosia broke his hand when Alcide tried to make a pass at her. I thought Jackson was going to rip his head off but thank the goddess Ambrosia stopped him before he could. Tye and Jasper stuck me right in the middle of them and wouldn't let Alcide get close to me at all. "We will be posted up in the trees just in case." Alcide replied. I mentally rolled my eyes, he is a young alpha and maybe he is just itching to settle dominance but he needs to learn a lesson or two before he gets himself in serious trouble. "Do as you wish but do not get in our way." I replied, narrowing my eyes. He looked taken back by what I said. "We wouldn't, this is the first time we have had any problems, we don't come across many vampires or dark witches and now I have both queens standing before me. This isn't something I want to miss." Alcide replied.

I honestly want to punch him like I did my dad. "You may watch, but nothing else. We will be fine." I replied. "The sun will be setting within a few hours. We need to post up now." Jasper said. He never once took his eyes off of Alcide but I knew he was talking to me. "Very well, tell everyone to get ready and meet us out front please." I replied, turning towards the door. As we walked through the hall all eyes fell on us, this was a very unusual sight for this pack to see. I kept my face neutral and didn't look around to anyone because honestly I could use a minute without the gawking. We stepped outside to see our groups gathered around, it did my heart good seeing everyone working together like this. "Alright we have the plan, get to your stations and no one moves until I say or if things go sideways. We will catch them both tonight and end all of this." I announced. "We want them to think that only Pythia and I found them, if they know about all of you things could turn deadly and that is something we don't want to happen." Tye added. 

"Alcides pack will be posted up in the trees, they will not interfere. My dark witches, please post next to them and hide them away so that the elders do not see them. We don't need this plan to go to waste." I stated. A few twisted their faces, I knew they wouldn't like the idea of that but, I can't really say no since they helped us with information. "What will happen if they use dark magic?" Alcide asked. "You don't need to worry about that, here in a moment you all will feel a breeze pass through you. It is a shield that protects from dark magic so that you are all protected." I replied. As if on cue I heard people gasp and I knew they were feeling what I had just told them. "Who is doing this?" Alcide asked. "You have much to learn within time. It is not my place to say anything but here soon you and your pack will be summoned to a ceremony that will explain everything." I replied. 

I knew the ceremony was coming up pretty soon and I was excited about it. All the packs will be attending and Athea herself will come forward, this would not be a thing to miss. As we walked towards the woods I stopped. "Everyone check your weapons, make sure they are secured." I stated. The women wore black tight pants with combat boots. We dressed just as we did for the previous war. I had straps around my upper thighs that tucked knives within them. I had a pistol tucked into my back just in case I needed it. My hair was tightly french braided to keep it back. Tye wore black pants with a black t-shirt, actually all the men dressed the same. I was feeling both anxious and nervous. I didn't know how this was going to go but we were ready for anything. Jaspers eyes were like a swirling storm, he and Jenson have been training as often as they could and they have mastered their elements pretty well.  

"Teleport everyone to their stations. I don't want the ground disturbed." I said. I grabbed Tye and Jasper and set them behind a tree that faced the front door, I quickly went back and grabbed Alcide and his beta and sat them high in the tree that was also facing the front door. "Sit tight and don't make a sound." I said before I disappeared again. This time I grabbed Ambrosia and Jackson and placed them a little further back but still facing the door while everyone else surrounded the house high and low. As soon as everyone had gotten themselves settled and quiet had finally set in I started to hear leaves rustling at a quick pace. I didn't budge worried that I might make a sound. Damien and Storm came into view and just before they reached the front door they stopped.

They looked around, smelling the air. "I know you are here, mutt." Damien gritted out. I rested a hand on Tye's shoulder to keep him calm, I didn't need him letting Rex loose so early. "Stay put." I whispered. I took a deep breath before I moved out from behind the tree. I watched the different emotions come across their faces before anger had set in. "I have been looking for the two of you." I stated. "How did you find us?" Storm asked. "Well that is for me to know and you to not find out. You think you could hide from me forever? After what the two of you have done?" I snapped. Anger was setting in as I remember the fact that they killed a coven member and have been planning to kill us all including my son. "We didn't do anything." Damien snapped back. "Tisk tisk, didn't we learn that it is impolite to lie? You both are elders and should know that I don't take being lied to very well." I replied tilting my head to the side. "Alright so we killed a witch, who cares? You like that vampire bitch who killed your elder!" Storm shouted. "I care! She did no wrong and yet you both killed her and dumped her body thinking it would not be found, and that vampire bitch is the queen so I suggest you show respect." I roared. 

Storms face dropped with fear at my words, "You chose other races over your own kind! We will restore what is right even if it means killing you." Damien snapped. At his words I heard Rex growl so hard the ground shook. It didn't bother me but looking at the elders and how their faces turned paper white they knew they had officially messed up. "You both can come peacefully or we can drag you back by your throats, it really is your choice." I said as Tye stepped beside me. His eyes were bright green so that told me Rex had taken over. "I won't go down without a fight." Storm seethed. A smile came across my face, I haven't fought in so long. "Before you even think it we are covered by the shield, so you two will just have to use hand on hand combat." I said easily. "I should have known you would ask him for help." Damien said with a slick smile. 

I didn't like the look in his eye but nonetheless I knew what was coming. Before I could blink Damien was in front of Rex and threw the palm of his hand into his chest, it sent him back a few feet. Rex raised his head and the look in his eyes was completely deadly. Damien set his eyes on me and we began to circle each other. With each step I let him get closer to me because I needed him within arms reach. I knew Ambrosia would be keeping an eye on Storm should she try anything. I watched every move he made until I saw his right hand ball into a fist just before he launched it directly at me, I leaned my body back to avoid the contact and brought my left fist straight to his lower jaw. He teleported behind me wrapping one of his arms around my neck while he used the other to lock in his hold. I reached back, locking my arms around his head before I launched us both forward sending us to the ground. I raised my elbow and dug it into his side making him scream out in pain, I quickly got to my feet only to be thrown to the side by Storm. I hit the tree and heard a crack.

Fuck Julie is going to be pissed when I get back. I staggered to my feet, Rex had Damiens attention while I had Storms. Just as she started to run at me Ambrosia cut her off grabbing her by the throat. I watched as Ambrosia lifted her off the ground and threw her at a nearby tree. "Hows that for being a bitch." Ambrosia muttered. I stalked towards Storm only to be cut off by Rexs scream, it made my blood run cold and I snapped around to see that Damien had a knife dug deep into his stomach. "REX!" I screamed and turned full sprint running towards them. Damien had a sickening grin on his face and was too focused on Rex to notice I was running straight for him. I grabbed a knife from the side of my leg and hurled it towards him. It stuck directly in his lower back, paralyzing him immediately. Storm appeared in front of me but I had no time for her. She swung her fist at my face that I easily caught. I raised my arm back and punched her straight in the nose, she stumbled back but not before I grabbed her by the back of her hair and drove her face straight into my knee instantly knocking her unconscious.

"Secure them and get them back to the territory cells now!" I screamed as I hit my knees cradling Tye. The knife was still in his stomach and I didn't dare touch it. "Hey, hey look at me. You're going to be fine. JASPER!" I screamed out. Jasper was by instantly taking his shirt off and applying pressure to the wound. "We need to get him to our pack doctors, they are waiting." Alcide said wide eyed next to me. "Grab hands now!" I shouted. Everyone moved quickly. I placed a hand on Tye and a hand on Jasper before I took us straight into their hospital where doctors and nurses were already waiting. "Jasper I need Alley here. Send a message to her." I stated on the verge of tears as I watched them take my mate to the back. "They are all on their way here." Jasper replied. "Who is they?" Alcide asked. "The great white witch, her mate and the council." I replied shortly. Shock registered on his face but I didn't have time to worry about his feelings. Davinas words had haunted me but I didn't think that any of us would get hurt.
