Chapter 56:

Pythia POV:

The last few days have been absolutely insane. Word had officially got out all across the country that we were starting a new pack. All of our lands were being flooded with people that wanted to join. Those who were rejected by their mates that wanted to get away, kids that wanted a fresh start and even some that will be attending college out here. Thank goddess we had enough room for everyone. Tye and I decided that our pack will be built in the woods around the coven so that we could all mix in together. We are updating the coven house but allowing anyone to build their own so that they can have privacy. We are so close to finding Damien and Storm, each time we get close they barely get away. There seems to be a change in the air today and I'm not really sure what it is just yet. Jenson came out with the group while Jasper stayed home with Apollo. Since we have established a pack I've learned that I can communicate with them through the same mind link.

It was hard to break away from Apollo but Jasper updated me every thirty minutes on what they were doing and I felt a lot better about leaving him at home. I really need to look into getting a full time babysitter. I just need to convince the twins to let me hire one. As we got closer I noticed a group that was standing in front of our home. "What is going on?" I asked. "It's the element carriers, they are all here!" A little girl said excitedly. What are they doing here? I walked a little faster and the small crowd started to part so that we could get by. "Ah we have been waiting for you." Davina said. "Why?" I asked. "We need to talk to you, can you please call your mate here." Atsila replied. He looked a lot better than the first few times I had seen him. "I am already here. I got word of your arrivals." Tye said as he made his way through the crowd. "Let's go inside yeah?" I asked. I wasn't familiar with all of their names but I am very curious as to why they are here. 

As we got inside Jasper was laid out on the couch snoring with Apollo sprawled out on his chest. I tilted my head to the side and smiled looking at them. "I swear it's like the two of you are his protectors." Tye laughed. "That is because they are." Davina said. I looked at her confused but I didn't see any hint of a lie. Jenson walked towards his brother, shaking him lightly. Jasper woke up but didn't move too much. Judging by the way he looked at Jenson I knew they were communicating silently. "Let me introduce everyone. This is Buran, he holds the wind element. This is Terra carrier of Earth. Anahita holds water and you should be lucky she is showing her true self. Of course you know Atsila." Davina said. "It's nice to officially meet you all but, I am still confused as to what is happening." I replied. "You know who Jack and Sammie are to Alley and Stephen right?" Atsila asked. "Of course, we all do. They are their guards that carry four of the elements." Tye replied. 

All their eyes shifted between the boys. "Wait a minute, Jasper and Jenson are first born protectors? How is that possible if I am the first born?" I asked. "Normally yes, but Athea thinks the threat against your son is too great so she is placing the two of them as his protectors, who will carry four elements to better protect Apollo. All of our children are very important although we don't know what is planned for them." Davina replied. "So all of our first born children will be protected in this way?" I asked. "The only ones will be your children, Ambrosias' children and Alleys children. Only the kings and queens have guards such as these." Buran replied. Okay well I guess that makes sense, all of this is still new to me. "Is that why we feel a strong connection to him?" Jasper asked. "Yes, it is. We had to wait until you all found each other. The whisper you heard was me guiding you." Davina replied with a smile. 

So it was Davina that sent them? "Now usually we take turns bestowing gifts but we do not have much time so I am going to ask that the two of you go with the others. I will strengthen your spirit to sustain everything. After that you need to train with them because soon you will need them for what is going to come." Davina said seriously. Her words made my blood turn cold. What did she mean? I watched as Tye took Apollo from Jasper and watched as they walked out the front door. "What do you mean? What is coming?" I asked worriedly. "Be calm queen. Soon you will find the elders and they will not come easily. That is the first task of the road you will walk on but know that your son as well as the others will be protected." Davina said with a small smile. "Honestly that doesn't make me feel any better. I know you can't tell us what is going on or what will happen." I replied.

I wish someone would tell me something, all of this is starting to stress me out to the max. This is the first task? What are the other tasks besides the grand elders? "Pythia, you and your brothers need to forgive your father. You will all be stronger together." Davina said softly. I blew out a large breath, "That is easier said than done. I mean I understand why he had to leave me but the boys?" I replied. "He isn't at fault, this has been set in motion for many many years. Just take a night to think it over but it will need to be soon." Davina replied. I know we needed to forgive him but how will all of this work with him being on the grand elders council? No one is supposed to know and if he is stuck there how would we even have the chance to get to know him at all? All of this is becoming more complicated. "I will talk with the boys tonight and see how they will feel about all of this." I replied. "Jasper and Jenson have been bestowed the gifts, they will be training for the remainder of the day. I suggest you rest up." Davina stated before she disappeared. 

I didn't realize I had been holding my breath, "Pythia, my beauty she is right." Tye whispered beside me. I turned to see him cradling a wide eyed Apollo. It angered me to think of anyone harming a child for their own gain. Harming a child in general is punishable by death. "I know she is but how will all of this work if our dad is on the council and they can't know who we all really are." I replied. "A war will come, as crude as the idea is I don't think there is any other way to get around this." Tye mumbled. The actual thought of us waging war on the grand elders made me feel sick. We just got through a war and now we will have to walk right in to another one? The road for peace is now clouded with wars and bloodshed. "At least we know Apollo will be protected through this all." I whispered. I stretched my hand out and cradled his little face, he giggled at me making me smile. I would lay my life down just for him. There isn't anything I wouldn't give up so he will have a good life. 

I heard the door open and I turned to see Ambrosia and Artemis. "I hope we are not coming at a bad time." Ambrosia said. "Not at all, how are the two of you?" Tye asked. "We are fine but I saw something interesting with the twins. What is happening?" Ambrosia asked. Well I know we won't be able to avoid this conversation so we might as well let everyone know. "They are protectors for Apollo, much like Jack and Sammie is to Alley and Stephen." I replied. "Now that is interesting. That is good though." Ambrosia replied. "Your son will have protectors as well." Tye stated. "What? Why?" Ambrosia asked. "He is the future alpha and king. They said all our kids will have protectors." I replied. "Well I would be able to rest easier knowing that he will have extra protection." Ambrosia said. "I guess we need to call for a meeting and let everyone know." I stated. "I have already sent word out to round everyone up. Let's go and wait for them." Tye replied. 

I took a deep breath as we walked out onto the front porch. Slowly everyone started to gather around and I started feeling nervous. I am used to speaking before my coven but now I have wolves and I know nothing of being a luna to them. As everyone stood there waiting for an explanation something came over me. I squared my shoulders and straightened my back. "First I would like to say that there is no emergency. Something has happened and I am sure a few of you have seen the twins. I would like to announce that they will be protectors to Apollo, since he will be king it is imperative that he be protected." I stated. No one seemed bothered by what I said. "So they will carry the four elements?" Natalie asked with a smile. I had to hand it to her, she knew something was coming and she was right when she said that it would be soon."Yes, that is correct. They are training now but before any rumors start to spread we wanted to tell you all first." Tye stated. 

"So does that mean you are without protection?" A man asked, he wasn't part of my coven so that meant he was a wolf. "For the time being things will stay the same. One will be with her while the other one is with Apollo." Tye replied. "I would like to protect her." The man said. "What is your name?" I asked. "My name is Jason, queen." He replied. "If you wish to protect me you must train with one of the twins and Leia. They are the best warriors in this pack and if they approve then you may." I replied easily. A smile broke out on his face. "I won't let you down. We can't have our Luna unprotected." Jason replied. I nodded my head knowing he will stay true to his word. He seemed young and ambitious so this will be a test for him. "Everyone please go back to what you were doing before, should anything change we will let everyone know." Tye announced. I watched as everyone scurried away and I felt like I could finally relax. The next round of hunters are being sent out and I prayed to the goddess that they would find the elders sooner rather than later.
