Chapter 39:
Pythia POV:
Today was the day for us to head out to meet with the elders tomorrow. Phil said that it wouldn't be that far of a drive, maybe four hours tops. I packed all of the bags and Tye went back through and double checked to make sure that I didn't miss anything. We decided that it was best that Brandon come with us just in case anything goes badly. Stephen is keeping his shield around us all still and for that I am extra grateful for. They have decided that they would show up right before anything is said as a sort of surprise for them. Since I am mated to a wolf then technically I fall halfway under their council as well. "Are we all ready?" Phil asked. "I believe we are, I need to find Brandon before we go." I replied. "He is already waiting by the car." Tye said as he walked up to us. As we walked out of the front door we were met by smiling faces, all the women and men came to see us off. "We will see you soon." Alley whispered in my ear as she gave me a tight hug. "I feel a lot better that you guys will all be there." I replied. "Not to worry my dear, all will be well." Ambrosia said as Jackson loaded their bags into the car.
Phil rented a spacious third row SUV for all of us so that we could all fit comfortably, Brandon will sit up front with Phil, then Ambrosia and I will sit in the second row, and Tye and Jackson will sit in the back. It wouldn't be that far of a drive honestly, we were being put up in a top floor suite at some hotel, it was large enough for us all to be in the same room and we could at least all get a better plan together for when things do happen. "Alright everyone let's go." Phil said as he got in the car and started it. Brandon opened the door and Ambrosia and I climbed in and sat in our seats while the others climbed in behind us. As we pulled off a lot of different things were starting to go through my head. I wonder what the grand elders are thinking, what they are truly thinking. Surely they can't think that this is all a bad thing right? Maybe word got back to them about how the gathering went. Maybe they are just curious about how all of this will go. Maybe when they see Tye, Jackson and Ambrosia their minds will shift.
Then again we know there is a fifty fifty chance that things can go bad when Alley and the others walk in and introduce themselves. They know Ambrosia is coming and the reason why but, they don't know about anyone else. I pray to the moon goddess that they will think positively about all of this. "Stop overthinking things." Ambrosia said, cutting through my thoughts. "I just wonder what they all think, are they really set in their ways that they won't listen?" I asked. My brows furrowed and I was starting to get a small headache. "You know we have at least two people on our side, they may not like to hear it but they must respect your dad and aunt." Phil stated. That is true. "We can't let them know that you are mixed with dark and white genes just yet. That would blow your dad and aunts' cover and things would get really bad." Ambrosia said. That is another good point, I will hide that until they tell me otherwise. "It will be a shock for them to see the others so let's not try to overwhelm them." Tye said.
I sighed, "I just wish I knew how all of this was going to go, I've never liked not knowing things so I don't know how to feel or what to do." I stated. "Just stay calm the best you can." Brandon chimed in. He is quiet most of the time but he gives off a good vibe. I know he wants to find his mate and maybe when we get back I can do a locator spell and find her somehow for him. It is after all the very least I could do to thank him for protecting me. "I forgot to ask what you and Jackson are having? Is it a girl? Or boy?" I asked, realizing I totally forgot with everything going on. "We are having a boy, we have decided on Artemis." Ambrosia replied with a wide grin. "That is a really good strong name." I replied. "He will be an alpha and king of the vampires until we have another child, rightfully the first born son is alpha." Jackson stated. I haven't thought of it like that. Apollo will be the king of the dark witches since Tye doesn't have a pack of his own. We haven't had a king in many many years. "When our children grow up they will be all mixed with each other, y'alls son will be half vampire but an alpha to a pack, our son will be mixed with dark, white and alpha blood line but will be the king of the dark witches." I said.
Hopefully by then our battles we fight now will be taught, I wanted the next generation to know how hard we fought for all of this. For them to have a better life. I am so ready to meet Apollo, he has been more and more active as the days go on which has me both excited and really nervous at the same time. I want to know what he will look like, will he have my eyes or Tyes eyes? Who will he take after the most? Just thinking about it makes me incredibly happy. "We aren't too far away, your father is already there waiting for us in the suit." Phil announced. I looked out the window to see all the buildings that surrounded this city, I never really liked going to any city. It is way too cluttered and way too many people shoulder to shoulder. We pulled up to a large well built building. The outer walls were tan with red lining around the borders, Phil pulled up to the front door, Brandon jumped out and opened my door before he ran over to open the door for Ambrosia. When we stepped out we were greeted by a young man in a uniform with a rolling cart for our bags. "Good Afternoon, everything is all set. Just pick up your keys at the front desk. Do y'all need help taking anything up?" He asked. "No, but thank you for your hospitality." Phil said as he pulled a crisp hundred dollar bill out and handed it to the kid.
