Chapter 118:
Pythia POV:
It has been a long few months but productive. I healed up rather quickly thanks to the herbs that were brought to me. Lucinda was right, Tye and I went back to see Julie where she confirmed we were in fact having twins. Today we are going to find out what we are having even though I could just ask Delilah. I know she knows she just won't say anything. "Are you nervous?" I asked as we walked across the field. "Actually no, Rex and I had a long talk in case one of them is a girl." Tye replied. "What did the two of you figure out?" I asked. "Well, she will have an older brother to protect her and he is very excited for the babies plus wherever he is the twins will be so she will be protected by the best. Just no boyfriends." Tye muttered, making me laugh. "Let's not forget her cousins and soon to be cousins. We will just see how all of this goes first okay? I'm sure she will wait." I replied.
Beth and Jasper found out they were having a bouncing baby boy, so they decided to name him Spencer. Tye and I had been discussing girl and boys names and finally settled on one of each but we still had some back ups just in case. As we walked in Julie was already waiting for us with a smile. "You look glowing." Julie said. "Remind me of that at the end of all of this." I laughed. "Ready to find out what the two of you are having?" Julie asked. "Yes we are. We have names picked out already so hopefully we are having what I think we are." I replied as we walked into the room. I laid back on the table and pulled my shirt up so she could place the jelly on it. She pulled the monitor up and slowly the picture came to life. I looked to see our two little babies that have gotten bigger in such a short time.
When she pressed gently on my belly they wiggled around not liking it. "Alright give me just a second and I'll tell you what you are having, both babies are healthy although baby A is a little smaller but that is normal so don't worry. They are both on the track they should be but you have to know with twins you could deliver early." Julie said. "I figured, as long as they are healthy we don't mind." I replied. "Well looks like baby B is a boy, congratulations. Now if I could get him to move just a little bit I could tell you what the other one is." Julie said, applying a little pressure on my belly. I looked over to Tye who was now smiling. " A boy. We have another boy." He whispered. "Ah there he goes, looks like you are also having a baby girl." Julie said with a smile. I had to hold in my laughter because the smile quickly fell from Tyes face as her words sunk in. I finally have a girl! "A girl! I will have a mini version on me now." I giggled. "Oh no.. I have so much to do before she gets here." Tye muttered.
He was on his feet pacing around making Julie and I laugh, "Let me guess, he wants an army now?" Julie whispered. I giggled, nodding my head. Julie wiped me clean and helped me sit up. "This is going to be an interesting day." I said, hooking my arm around Tyes. "Let's go everyone is waiting for us at Alleys house and I have to change." I said pulling him forward. "Is it normal to feel so stressed out already?" Tye asked. "Of course not but now we will have the double trouble Alley is always talking about." I replied. "So we will have a little Archer." Tye said with a smile. "We will also have a little Amina." I giggled. Tye groaned as we walked out of the doors. It was so nice to see everyone walk so freely, laughing and living their lives as they have always wanted to. "Isn't this nice?" I asked, looking around. "It really is. It's something we have always wanted and now we don't have to worry about the kids growing up in chaos." Tye replied.
When we got closer I could see all of the decorations that were in place. Lucinda has kept busy with Tyes mom, they wanted to do something for everyone so the girls and I decided to dress a certain way. The council would wear all white like they always have but I would wear something different. We walked into the house and Lucinda ran up to us first. "I have your outfit all ready for you! How did the appointment go?" She asked with a beaming smile. "It went great! One boy and one girl!" I said happily. "Come, let's get you all dressed. Tye your suit is ready as well so go get changed." Lucinda said smiling. I followed Lucinda up the stairs, "Where is Delilah?" I asked. "She is with Apollo and the other kids. Her and Ember have been watching over them all." Lucinda replied. Makes sense, Delilah loved watching over Apollo if I was with Tye and it has been great bonding for them both.
When we walked into the room a dress was hanging from the front of the door, it was half black and half white with an emerald green stripe around the middle of it. "I wanted to make something that represents who you are and what you represent. You come from the emerald moon pack and you represent light and dark. I hope you like it." Lucinda whispered. "It's beautiful. Thank you." I said walking up to the dress, I reached out and touched it and it was soft, and I could tell it would flow easily. I picked the hanger up off the door and walked to the bathroom, I quickly put the dress on, sliding it over my baby bump and I looked in the mirror to see it fit perfectly. It was sleeveless but I noticed how even the colors were on it. When I stepped out of the bathroom Lucinda turned around and her smile returned. "You look stunning! I'm so glad it fits." She said, "It is really comfortable. Where did you find this?" I asked. "Well, I actually made it. It's something I learned after eons alone. Couldn't wear the same exact thing everyday now could I?" Lucinda giggled.
Having her here has been such a blessing, we found out that we are more similar than we ever knew. She has helped me become more confident in what I am meant to do in my lifetime. I've been able to tap in to the elements a lot easier since everything has happened. I have found that it calms me when I play with them, they've become a sense of security for me and I have started to learn that I can do a bunch of different things with them. "I got you some flat shoes so you don't have to be uncomfortable walking around in high heels. Come sit, I'll do your hair and you can do your makeup." Lucinda said, pulling me from my thoughts. I walked over and sat down in a chair in front of a vanity. It had three mirrors so you could see everything from a different angle. There were hair supplies and make-up all over the table and I couldn't help but think that this is how it should have been with my mom.
Lucinda picked up a brush while I picked up a small amount of foundation and started applying. I was never one to wear a lot of makeup because I believed more in natural beauty. A knock on the door caught our attention and I looked over to see Ambrosia walk in. She looked stunning in a red and black sleek fitting dress. Her hair was as straight as a board and she had a small amount of makeup on. "So I hear I am having a niece and nephew." Ambrosia said with a smile. "Yes, you are. How did you know already?" I asked. "Tye hunted down Jackson and started rambling about how he needs an army and he will not allowed boys around her and so on." Ambrosia laughed. Of course he was. I knew he would track one of them down it was just a matter of who he found first. "Everyone is starting to gather around. I must say this is all impressive. You and the rest have done an amazing job." Ambrosia said smiling at Lucinda as she did my hair.
"We also need to get a baby shower planned up, everyone will love to attend." Lucinda said. I haven't had the time to think about doing something like that but it was a good idea. We needed more things like this to maintain a normal life. "That actually sounds like a really good idea, we have a few months to plan. Also, Alley wanted to see all of us when you are done getting ready." Ambrosia replied. "Is everything alright?" I asked. "Yes, of course they just have some new ideas they want us all to talk about before the party." Ambrosia replied. "Okay I'll come to the office room when I am done. Please make sure Tye doesn't give himself a heart attack." I laughed. "I can't promise that but I will try." Ambrosia said as she walked out of the door. "I have really enjoyed the time I have been here." Lucinda said softly. "You know you can stay as long as you want. I like spending time with you, and so does everyone else." I replied.
"I'll be staying a little while longer but you know you can always bring everyone to visit the grove if you ever wanted to." Lucinda said easily. "I think we will do that one day. It's very calming and beautiful there." I replied. I watched as she started to braid the sides of my hair half way before letting my hair flow freely. She turned on the curling iron and picked the brush up again. "I know what you are thinking." Lucinda said, looking at me through the mirror. I had no doubt that she did and I didn't mind at all. "You always do but it is true." I said. Sometimes the thought of having her as an actual mother came across my mind. She was definitely meant to be one. "Your mother wasn't always bad, you know." Lucinda said gently. "I doubt that. She was pretty horrible." I replied. "She just took the wrong path and lost herself but, you are much like a daughter to me." Lucinda said, picking up the curling iron. "Is it wrong of me to wish I had you as a mom instead?" I asked, feeling a little guilty. "I don't think so, every child deserves to feel a mothers love and you found that in me. I'm more than happy to show you the things you missed out on." Lucinda said with a smile.
I started applying a small amount of make up as my mind raced around. She was right, every child deserves that and I did miss out on a lot. The short amount of time she has been here has filled the void that has been empty for so long and it's given me a sense of peace and happiness. I finished applying my eye make up and was adding a little blush just as Lucinda was finishing my hair. "You look beautiful." Lucinda said, stepping back. I looked at myself in the mirror and I was stunned at my hair, I never knew it could be this curly. I stood to my feet and turned to hug her. "Thank you, for everything." I whispered. "No need to thank me, here let's put your shoes on so you are not late for your meeting." Lucinda said with a smile. She picked up a shoe box and opened it. They were simple black flats with white and green rhinestones on the top. She helped put them on and together we walked out of the door and walked towards the office. I knocked lightly before we walked in and everyone was dressed to impress. My eyes landed on Tye, he was in a black suit with a green undershirt and a white napkin tucked in his front pocket.
"You all look great." I said with a smile. "You look beautiful." Tye said, kissing my forehead. "I'll see you all at the party. Excuse me." Lucinda said backing out of the door. "What is going on?" I asked. "Well we all have an idea, what if we started merging all the races? Like building schools and business so we can all mix and get to know each other?" Alley said. That's actually not a bad idea, it would probably benefit everyone and end the fear the humans have of us. "I like that idea but how are we going to get them to trust us enough to do that?" I asked. "I've already been talking to the mayors and council members and so far they like the idea too." Stephen replied. "What if we did a trial run? Like having our people visit more often, let them see we aren't harmful or anything. I'm sure word has spread of what we have fought for." I said. "Plus, more humans have been coming closer to see us and how we live. That means they are curious." Tye added.
He was right. We had to take extra precaution to make sure they wouldn't be caught in Bartholomews path to keep them safe and I still remember the mall incident when we were questioned about the last fight. "We can do that. Maybe we can host a large party and invite them, or let them work out with us or something." Alex replied. "I'll send out a mass email and get the humans thoughts on it too. I like the idea of that happening. They need to see that our children and us adults are normal just like they are." Alley said. "Now that we got that covered let's go and enjoy this party." Tye said with a smile. "I like the idea of that." Ambrosia said with a smile. As we all walked down the stairs everything started to come into view. The ladies have been busy decorating things and I couldn't wait to admire them and enjoy a peaceful night that was waiting for us.
