Chapter 58:

Pythia POV:

It's been an hour. One hour and still not a word on how Tye is doing. Alley arrived not long after Jasper called on them and she has been back with the other doctors. I started getting restless so I started pacing the hallway. "Pythia, why don't you come sit down?" Ambrosia said gently. "I can't. Why haven't they said anything yet? This is starting to drive me crazy." I replied in a rush. "They will when the surgery is over. For now you need to relax a little, pacing isn't going to help you." Ambrosia replied. "Do you want Jenson to bring Apollo?" Jasper asked. "Yes, please. Go and help, pack lightly. We will be staying until Tye is healed enough to move on his own, which should be a day or so right?" I asked. "With him he will probably be able to leave tomorrow. We will be back momentarily." Jasper said before he disappeared. "Pythia, they are almost done, another ten maybe fifteen minutes." Alcide said, walking towards me. "Thank goddess, how is he doing? Also we need a place to stay for the night if that is okay." I replied.

Alcide looked at me with sadness. "Of course, how many?" Alcide asked. "Well, me, our son and our protectors." I replied. "Protectors? Will you at least tell me what the hell is going on?" Alcide asked with a small hint of frustration. "Fine, I will explain tonight. Just plan for the five of us." I replied. I didn't mean to sound rude or anything but my patience was starting to run thin. "Pythia." I heard my name being called and I looked over Alcide to see Alley standing in the hall. I pushed by him and nearly ran up to her. "How is he?" I asked, sounding a little panicked. "He will be fine, Damien used some type of herbs that was laced in dark magic but luckily the shield kept that from entering him. They had to dig out the herbs and stitch him back up. I strengthened his spirit so he will heal much faster. He will be able to come home tomorrow." Alley replied with a small smile.

I wrapped her in a hug, grateful for what she had done. "Thank you. We are staying here tonight." I whispered. "Do I need to have the warriors come?" Alley asked. "No, I am having Jasper and Jenson bring Apollo. Jason will be here as well. I will leave Brandon and Leia in charge until we get back. We need the warriors to keep Storm and Damien on lock down" I replied. "I will speak to them when I get back so you don't have to worry about anything. They will keep him sedated but I managed to get into his mind and explain things to him so he won't wake up with a fright. I will go back in and push through to him again to tell him y'all will be staying." Alley replied. "Thank you. Thank you so much." I replied with tears in my eyes. "I know all too well how it feels to be stabbed like that. I also remember you staying by my side through it all. It is the very least I can do." Alley replied with a smile. As she turned to walk off I felt the tears roll down my cheeks. He is okay. He is going to be okay. This was my worst nightmare that almost became a reality.

I turned around to see Ambrosia and Jackson speaking to Alcide. He seems to have calmed down a bit and isn't as flirtatious. "So the great white witch is your sister in law?" Alcide asked. "Yes, she is. Jackson is her eldest brother and Tye is the second oldest. Alley is the youngest." Ambrosia replied. "Y'all have one crazy family." Alcide laughed. ''Yes we do, but we are very blessed." I said as I walked towards them. "We will go make sure those damn elders are wrapped in chains and kept in the cells." Ambrosia stated. "Please don't hang them from the ceiling with those chains." I replied smiling. "Ah I would never. I won't kill them unless you tell me I can. Although I think I got my revenge for the bitch comment." Ambrosia replied laughing. "I bet y'alls lives are intense." Alcide mumbled. I didn't have time to reply until Jasper, Jenson and Jason appeared next to us. "Holy shit!" Alcide said, jumping backwards, making me laugh. I looked over to see Apollo was tucked tightly against Jaspers chest. A smile came across my face at the sight of my son smiling right back at me.

I reached my arms out, taking him from Jasper. "I don't think I will get used to something like that." Alcide grumbled. "Can  you show one of them where we will be staying? Only two rooms please." I said. "Of course. Who is coming?" Alcide asked, looking between the three of them. "I will." Jason replied. I smiled at him. He has been training his ass off day in and day out. Since he has shown major improvements I kept true to my word and let him watch over me when I needed it. I wanted him to train as much and as often as he could. "Pythia?" I turned quickly to see a nurse standing in front of the doors. I took a deep breath as I walked forward. "I know his sister came out to speak to you and I just wanted to let you know that he is fine. He will be kept sedated until early tomorrow morning. He will be watched over throughout the night." She said gently. "Thank you. Is there anything that needs to be done?" I asked. "No ma'am, Alpha Alcide is taking care of expenses, I suggest you get some rest. I will notify you of any changes." She replied. "Can I see him?" I asked quietly. "Follow me." She replied.

Just before we got to his door I stopped. I was feeling very nervous all of a sudden, I took a deep breath before we entered his room. The sight before me nearly broke my heart, my mate. My wolf is lying in the bed with IVs in his hand and an oxygen mask on his face. He looked pale but his breathing was normal. I sat on the edge of his bed and ran my fingers down his cheek. I knew he needed his rest and that he was in good hands but it was hard to break away from him. This was the worst feeling in the world, seeing them like this knowing that there is nothing I can do to help him. I held Apollo closer as the tears started to fall, "Pythia. We need to let him rest." Jenson whispered softly. I nodded my head because I knew we had to but I just couldn't get my body to move. I felt a hand rest under my elbow and another on my lower back, when I got back to my feet my eyes shifted to the door to where Jason and Alcide were standing. "How about we get you to your room." Jason said softly. I didn't say a word as we walked out of the hospital, I could feel the eyes on me and the boys as we walked by.

It wasn't uncomfortable but it was annoying. I didn't show any emotions as I walked. Everyone knew Tye was injured so the mated ones knew how I felt on the inside. "Why don't you guys get ready and then come down for dinner. It will just be me and my beta, no one else I promise." Alcide said as we stopped in front of the room I would be staying in. "We will be down shortly." I replied. I opened the door to see a beautifully set up room, it looked like maybe my sibling had slept in here, it had two twin sized beds being separated by a medium size night stand. The bathroom was next to the closet and looked to be a decent size. "Alright, who is crashing in here tonight?" I asked. I knew the twins would want to be in the same room as Apollo but I didn't know what the other room looked like. Maybe it had two beds too. "Well I'm not leaving your side." Jason said. "We aren't leaving Apollo." Jasper added. "Well there is only two beds so how is this going to work?" I replied looking at the three of them. "Jasper and I can share one bed and Jason can take the couch." Jenson replied.

I rolled my eyes at them. "We know nothing will happen but we don't want to be separated either." Jasper said. "Well I wish I would have known that before I told Alcide two bedrooms, I will correct it with him." I replied. "Can we go eat now? I am starving." Jenson whined. Jasper punched his shoulder, "Shut up doofus you can wait until she is ready." Jasper replied. "We can go and eat, I just need to get Apollos food to bring with us." I replied. "Already got it." Jason said, grabbing the smaller diaper bag. "I like this kid." Jenson stated. "Yeah, he's alright." Jasper added. "Well I am glad the both of you agree. You're kind of an important family member." I said smiling. As we made our way downstairs I noticed Alcide was already sitting at the table with his beta. They both turned to look at us the moment we entered. "Please have a seat." Alcide said. I decided to sit at the opposite side so I could look at Alcide face to face, Jasper and Jenson sat at my sides while Jason sat next to Jasper. "I know you have questions so you mine as well ask now." I stated as an omega brought us our plates.

Alcide raised his head, "So who are  you people really?" He asked. "Well, I am Pythia, queen of the dark witches, This is Jasper and Jenson. Obviously they are twins, they are guards to my son Apollo. That is Jason. He is my guard." I replied. "You left out the fact that those two are your brothers." Alcide quipped. I was stunned. He was the first one to call me out on the part I purposely left out. "It's very obvious, same eyes and bone structure. They are gifted as well one look at their swirling eyes tells me that. Now why would your son need protection at such a young age?" Alcide asked. "Okay first, that information does not leave this room. There are some other issues going on and their identity is to remain a secret. My son is not only the future king of the dark witches but also the future alpha to our pack. He is gifted as well." I replied. "Understood but what is happening? Who are the other people?" Alcide asked. "Alright, the two we caught were elders that went crazy. I am to face the grand elders for other reasons. Do your research and ask around and you will find out. As far as the others you know Alley is the great white witch. She holds the five elements, her mate is the last of his royal line. The shield. Do research on that as well." I replied.

Alcide tilted his head to the side as if he was registering what I was telling him. "Alright, I will do my research, I am in debt to you for saving my border patrol and ridding us of those elders." Alcide stated. "You are not in debt to me, you are taking care of my mate and letting us stay here. Consider it making us even. Oh and we don't need a second room after all." I replied. We ate in silence and I was grateful for it. Apollo started to fuss so I grabbed a bottle from the bag and fed him while the others finished eating. The events from the day started to weigh down on me and the exhaustion started to set in. "If you will excuse me." I said standing on my feet and walked to the room. After I burped and changed Apollo I laid him in the bed next to me where he snuggled up close to me and we both drifted off into a much needed sleep.
