Chapter 123:
Pythia POV:
The party was starting to calm down and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the humans mixed in with everyone else. Others were letting their wolves out to show that there is nothing to be afraid of. The mayors and council members were very happy to see that we can all live among each other easily without and issues and we have extended our protection to them. We can't always promise that some little disgruntled asshole won't try anything but they felt better knowing they were all protected by us. "I think it's just about time for us to go." Tye whispered in my ear. "Where are we going?" I asked. "You'll find out when we get there. Apollo is going to stay with Ambrosia and Jackson for a few days and then they will bring him to us so we can go somewhere else for a small family vacation." Tye said with a smile. "I'm very curious as to what you have planned up." I giggled. "You two are all set to go." Lucinda said walking up to us. "Are you going to be alright here without us?" I asked.
She smiled at me, "I'm going to go and see Athea while you are away, she has been wanting to re do her realm." Lucinda said. "What do you mean re do it?" Tye asked. "Every once in a while she likes to make it look different, more fresh and vibrant and now that my realm no longer exists she can combine the two of them." Lucinda replied. That makes sense, I wonder how big Lucindas realm is. She held a lot of those beasts so it has to be a decent size. "Let's tell everyone goodbye before we go." I said. I hugged Lucinda tightly, "Thank you for everything." I whispered. She has been so amazing throughout everything and we have gotten extremely close. "You don't ever have to thank me. It's my pleasure." Lucinda said, stepping back. "Now go, enjoy your time. All will be well here." Lucinda said, pushing me forward. We made our way towards the crowds saying our goodbyes to everyone when one of the mayors stepped in front of us.
He extended his hand out to me and I shook it, "Thank you for inviting us, and congratulations." He said with a smile. "We are so glad some of you came. We are looking forward to what the future will hold." I said easily. As we made our way through the crowd I found Delilah and Apollo running around in the field. "Come here you two." Tye called out bringing their attention to us. Tye bent down and scooped up Apollo while Delilah shoved her head in my hands. "We will be gone a few days before the two of you are brought to us okay?" Tye said, nuzzling Apollo. "Okay daddy. Take care of mommy and the twins." Apollo said, wiggling out of his arms before he came to me. I picked him up and kissed him on his cheek, "Be good for Aunt Ambrosia okay? I'll see you in a couple days." I whispered as I hugged him. I set him back on his feet and hugged Delilah. "You be good too. I know you and Sage get in your little spats but behave while I am away." I said sternly.
Delilah rolled her eyes but didn't say anything. "Okay you two go and play. We love you." I yelled after them. We waved at those we walked by until I came face to face with a black SUV. "Do you want to change first?" Tye asked. "No, I'm actually comfortable right now and I'm ready to see where we are going." I said with a smile. Tye opened the door for me and helped me get in while he ran to the other side and started the car up. "Rest until we get there, I know you are tired." Tye whispered as he held onto my hand as we drove out of the gate. I was pretty exhausted and I knew he wouldn't mind if I took a nap on the way there. "How long is the drive?" I asked. "Only a couple hours, maybe less if there is no one else on the road." Tye replied easily. I leaned my seat back a little bit so my back wasn't as straight as a board. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes and relaxed my body. I was debating on if I should actually sleep or not because I wasn't fully sure that I would be able to wake back up.
I was still overly excited about everything that happened today that I kept replaying it all in my head, I wanted to hang on to the memories that were created. Everything from getting ready to seeing Tye and Apollo in their matching suits. The vows that were said and the way he looked at me with tears in his eyes as I walked down the aisle to him. Our first dance and my dance with my father and Lucinda. She had stepped in for the mother daughter dance before I danced with Tyes parents. It was a bittersweet moment but more so sweet than anything. I smiled, remembering Lucinda dancing with Apollo on her toes and the overall bliss everyone was in. For once everything went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about something or someone lurking over our shoulders or having a threat lingering in our minds that anyone could attack at any moment in time. It was by far the best night we all have had in a very long time. I was fighting the urge to fall asleep right here in the car.
I didn't want to ruin the night so I decided to stay awake and looked out the window, the trees flew by as we passed them. "What's going through your head right now?" Tye asked quietly. "If I fall asleep now I may not wake back up until tomorrow." I giggled. "I'm pretty sure all I would have to do is make some food and let the smell hit your nose, the twins would wake you right back up." Tye laughed. "That is so true. I just don't want to ruin the night." I said. "You could never ruin anything, and right now your energy is drained and I understand that. You need all the rest you can get so don't ever think that you are ruining anything." Tye said, kissing the back of my hand. He always made me feel better when I would be too hard on myself. I felt him brush his thumb across the back of my hand and I finally closed my eyes and let sleep pull me into a slumber....
**Tye POV:**
I watched as Pythia and her father danced, I stepped off to the side to find my mother. I found her making sure the waitresses were getting things out on time, "Mom." I called making her turn around. She walked up to me with a smile. "Is everything alright?" She asked.\`\`Of course, you did an amazing job thank you but I was actually wanting to check on the other stuff." I said quietly. I had my mom set up the same little beach house we visited when Pythia was pregnant with Apollo. She was so happy and carefree when she was here so I decided it was where we would be spending a few days alone together. After that I had my mom book a beach house on the beach in Florida for me, Apollo and Delilah to go to for a few days for a nice little family vacation. "Oh yes, that. It's all taken care of. The pack out that way is accepting you all but will give you privacy and not interrupt anything." My mom said with a smile. "I can't thank you enough for this." I said hugging her. "You are most welcome son, your father wants to speak to you, he just out that way." My mom said pointing to the back of the venue.
I made my way through people until I reached my father who embraced me in a hug. "I'm proud of you kiddo." My dad said with a smile. "Thanks dad, I couldn't have been this way without you and mom." I replied. "Most of that credit goes to your mother though. She got everything set up for you guys but is there anything else that we can do?" My dad asked. "Just help Brandon and Leia watch over everything please. We will only be gone a week or so total." I replied. "Take all the time you guys want to, we all know y'all deserve it but I just want to make sure there is nothing else that you guys need." My dad said. "We should be fine, especially now that we don't have anything to worry about anymore we can actually relax and not have to do research or training and stuff." I huffed. It has been such a long road for all of us and I'm glad it is finally over with. "We all need to try to do a large family dinner once every few weeks. I miss you guys driving me insane everyday." My dad laughed.
I laughed thinking about all the times Jackson and I would fight and Alley would throw up around to make us act right, or the late night with all of our friends over and my dad yelling at us to keep our voices down and the countless parties that Alley would have to come get us from and somehow sneak us back inside so that our parents wouldn't know. "Well I can't say I miss the times we got our asses chewed out." I laughed. "Well maybe if y'all would have just told us we wouldn't have caught you so much." My dad replied. That was true, they didn't care that we went out and did things. It was the fact that we never said anything and tried to be sneaky kids like everyone else. "I just want you to know that your payback will be coming when your kids get older and Pythia is a very head strong and stubborn woman. Amina will be just like her." My dad cackled. I rolled my eyes at him when I seen Lucinda walking towards us. "I'll see you when we get back okay? Dinner is a great idea." I said hugging him before I made my way towards Lucinda.
She was smiling when I finally reached her, "You know cars are such fickle things." She giggled. "They do come in handy at times." I replied. I often forget that our world is a lot different than hers is and all of this is new to her. "I had Jenson help me pack everyones bags. They are loaded up in the car and ready to go whenever the two of you are." Lucinda said easily. "I'll give her a few more minutes with Ambrosia before I pull her away." I said looking at the two women. "They are very close and I've watched them throughout all of this. I'm glad you caught on to certain things instead of getting your feelings hurt about them." Lucinda replied. "Well it doesn't take much to realize that sometimes all a woman needs is her best friend to get her through certain things." I replied. I caught on fairly quickly that some stuff I won't be able to help with and her having girl time is good for her. As much as I want to spend every waking moment with her I knew I couldn't. "You're a good man. I'm glad Athea put the two of you together." Lucinda said, patting my shoulder before she started to walk off.
I looked over and just stared at my new wife, I still couldn't get over how beautiful she looked but she now looked tired and ready to fall over at any moment. As I made my way towards her I couldn't help but send a thank you to Athea, she did pair us together after all and I must admit that I don't know what I would do without Pythia and I will be forever grateful to Athea.
