Chapter 26:

Tye POV:
As soon as we were done eating I told Pythia to take Ambrosia up to our room and pack her bags and I gave her my card for them to pop into town and get whatever else my green eyed beauty needed. Jackson told Ambrosia the plan and was excited to be able to go shopping especially at my expense. Pythia seemed a lot better by the time the two of them got back in. I shifted and let Rex run while I was able to. He was still fuming over how everyone made Pythia feel as was I but I get why they felt that way. It is a lot for her to take in at once but so was all the information about Alley and she handled it just fine. Regardless Rex needed to calm down and I knew he would after this run, even though it wasn't that far he still moved at incredible speed. Just before we got to my parents the door opened and out came. I shifted back and put different clothes on before stepping out from behind the tree. "There my wonderful son is, come in and tell us what is happening." My mother said, smiling at me.
I don't know how I got blessed to have her but nothing in the world would seem right without her in it. I looked at my father differently since he almost died and I thanked the goddess daily that Alley had saved him. As we sat down I took a deep breath and explained everything I knew so far. "Well it seems Pythia is a lot more special than we all thought she was." My father said smiling. "Yes, she is and I agree. It was not right of them to take such pitty on her after all she has done to help." My mother said in a not so happy tone. "I want to take her away for a few days until the gathering on Saturday. I have asked Ambrosia and Jackson to arrive a day after us though." I said. "I had a feeling you would say that, I did a little asking about Pythia and she loves the beach so we rented you guys a beach house. It is stunning, you both will love it!" My mother said smiling as wide as she could, I knew asking her for help was the right decision. "You know we won't let anything happen to any of you." My dad said, looking at me. "I know, it's just stressful. It is a plus that her dad and aunt are among the grand council though." I replied. "It does help, yes, it won't be a bad idea to have someone guard her. Even though she has the two friends and her uncle we need to take extra precautions." My mother said, It isn't a bad idea, I just need to figure out who I could trust enough.
Getting Pythia to agree to it will be a little difficult but not impossible. "What about Brandon?" My dad asked. "He is a good kid. He protected Alley, I haven't seen much of him since the battle to be honest." I replied. "What about Leia? She would be a good fit too." My mother said, ``No. Leia has hidden away with her parents and I can't say I blame her after what she went through. I won't make her protect someone when she is working on her mental state." I replied. Leia and her family took an extended vacation, she calls and texts Alley to check in from time to time and her brother speaks to us. I feel bad for her and what she went through. The process that she had to go through was not an easy one from what I understand. "That is true, I talked to her father recently, she is doing better but has her setbacks." My dad said. "I will see if I can track down Brandon. Thank you both." I said, smiling at them. "You don't need to thank us, my love, it is what we are here for. Remember that no one will hurt a hair on her beautiful head." My mother said. "And no one will hurt our grand pup. You deserve this little bit of happiness, son. We won't let anything ruin it." My father stated. I knew he was right. Any of us would shield the life of a child.
"One thing is for certain. We need to prepare her but keep her calm until she gives birth. Do you understand me Tye? The others have to make up for what they did and I will handle that. You take our daughter away for a few days and get her to relax." My mother said sternly, her eyes glazed over and I knew she was sending a harsh message. I tried to stand up but my mother held her hand out to tell me not to move and I knew better than to go against her. "You don't need to worry about anything, they are already planning something for her. Now, have you guys started getting things for the baby?" My mother asked. "Not yet, I told Pythia to get whatever she wanted though. That is also another thing I wanted to talk to you about whenever we get back. Maybe Sunday we can come over for dinner?" I asked knowing that would make her incredibly happy. "Oh I would love that! Some nice quality time with the both of you is just what I need! I will plan dinner and everything. I want to know her favorite desserts too." My mothers sounded off, her entire face lit up like Christmas. "I will get started on a baby registry as well and she can go over the list and add or remove whatever she wants! I started one for Alley but she insisted as well as Ambrosia that they have it all covered." My mother said with a little pout.
I wanted to laugh but I decided not to do that in front of her. "Alright I have to go back and pack my bags. Thank you both again for the help, I love you both." I said hugging them. "Have fun son." My dad said as we stepped back. "Get her to relax before anything else got it?" My mother said sternly. "Yes ma'am I promise." I said as I walked out of the door. Now that the plan is in motion I need to pack my bags and get the truck ready for when she gets back.
