Chapter 93:
Tye POV:
Things have been insane lately, all this time spent training could be spent spending time with my family. I know my beauty was overly exhausted, she has put her all into everything and her emotions have been put to the test lately but the fact that she never gives up amazes me each day. I hated leaving them but I had to meet the others, I haven't told Pythia because I know she would fight tooth and nail over it but I wanted to keep a few more people on the outside of the maze in case things go badly. She will have to fight Bartholomew on her own and I didn't want any of them to get free and try to sneak attack if we were all busy with others. I needed to make sure that no matter what no deathly harm would come to her or else her father would take her place at deaths side and I just couldn't stand by and allow any of that to happen, she deserved to have a family for all that she has missed out on. "Did Alex or Jenson show up to breakfast?" Stephen asked as I walked up. "They showed up after breakfast, they all went to go and check on the house." I replied. ''So I guess everything working out the way it was supposed to?" Stephen asked. "It did. They both seemed really happy." I replied.
"Good, now what is your plan on all this other stuff? Have you told Pythia yet because I'm really not in the mood to die just yet." Stephen laughed. "I have not told her yet, I'll tell her tonight though once we figure all of this out. I want my best warriors to line the back just in case someone gets through us. We have to protect her to keep her dad alive too." I replied. "Yeah, that kind of changed some stuff, I get why he did it but that kind of puts us in a harder position." Stephen said. "Yeah tell me about it, she has been disturbed by it." I replied, because it has. We were training for different things and people are bound to get hurt but if it gets to the point that she dies and moon goddess I hope that wasn't going to happen then he would so now we have to take that into consideration. "Okay so I assume the twins will be back with you, what if Alex, Brandon, Leia, Lillith and Stony line the back?" Stephen asked. "Well that is just it, all but Alex will be with me as the first round of defense. So I was thinking Jason, Lee and Jax could be on one side. Then on the other side we could have Ryan, Braxton and Troy on the other side." I replied.
"What about Alcide, Olivia and Phil?" Stephen asked. "Alcide is helping the other alphas and Olivia and Phil are stationed in one of the corners of the maze." I replied. "Okay, then are you comfortable with them? Or do you feel like you need more?" Stephen asked. "I think that is fine for now, we just need to make sure that they know about it and everything that way we can do this without any issues." I replied. I suddenly felt a rush of rage flow through me and I knew that Pythia had gotten really pissed, now that she has Delilah I can feel her emotions more intensely than I could before. Rex starting stirring in my head itching to get out. "Calm Rex, it isn't one of she is in danger." I quickly said. "We need to get to her." Rex snapped. "Her anger is starting to go away, someone over there probably made her mad." I said back. Rex mumbled something before he sunk back in to my mind. I felt her anger start to retreat just as fast as it came. Whatever happened must have been resolved or she killed someone, I was fine with whatever she did honestly just as long as she wasn't hurt in the process. "Alright so I will bring everyone in tonight before we come over for dinner and let them know of the new plan but dude, you have to tell Pythia or she is going to kill us all." Stephen said.
"Yeah, yeah I'll tell her tonight before everyone comes over. What else was needing to be done?" I asked quickly. "Nothing that I know of, we should be almost done with the last round of the competition and then we will be able to pair them all up and then let them work together so they can learn movements and such." Stephen replied. "How is it all going?" I asked. "Better than expected, you know how wolves get. They never hold back on anything." Stephen replied. That is true, wolves aren't as cautious because they know how to handle themselves. "Let me know if you need any help with the pairing, I know the girls are going to want to do it." I laughed. The ladies had said very sternly that they did not want help because they could do it all themselves. "I'm going to go and meet up with the others, I'll see you at dinner tonight." I said before turning to walk off. I stopped when I felt something uneasy come over me, what was that? Sheer anger from a defensive standpoint hit me like a tidal wave. "Tye? What's wrong?" Stephen asked. "We need to get to Pythia right now." I growled before I let Rex take over....
Pythia POV:
I didn't trust the flooring enough to go upstairs but the downstairs looked like it was going to turn out amazing, the flooring was marble and we decided to keep the colors light so that it would feel more welcoming to everyone. The days were gone where we had everything in black and brown and truth be told those colors were starting to get on my nerves with how depressing they are. The hallways were lined with white pillars and a lead way to different areas. The place where our meeting room was, was now a large opening to hold different events. I was overall happy with how this all turned out. "What do you guys think?" I asked. "It's beautiful here." Beth replied. "I was hoping we could go upstairs and see a few of those rooms but we can wait until it is more sturdy than it is now." I said. "This will be a nice area to host events, anything larger than what the area is we can just go to the gardens or something." Jenson said. "I want you all to like it, this is your new home when it is finished." I replied. As we walked throughout the remaining of the area it seemed like there was still a long way to go
We walked into the large kitchen and I could swear I heard Beth squeal. "Oh I love this! Look at the flat stoves! There is so much room, oh my all the cabinets!" Beth rambled on as she ran around the large area looking at every detail. It was hard for me not to laugh at her, this was such a silly thing to be excited over especially when I know the next room will probably have her faint. Jasper told me her love for reading so I had a small library built for her so she could have all the books she could possibly want. "I think the next room is what I am most excited about." I said with a smile. I pushed the stroller forward and stopped just shy of the double doors and I turned to look at Beth. "You can go first this time." I said watching her look at me a little confused. I jerked my chin forward and Jasper gave her a small push forward. As she opened the door she let out the most girlish scream I had ever heard in my life before she darted in the room. "I'll take that as she likes it." Jasper laughed as he followed her in the room. I looked around and didn't see her at first, then I seen her running in between the shelves touching literally everything she could. "I love this! Oh my, I can have so many books now!" Beth screamed, making us all laugh.
"She is adorable." Alex laughed. All the excitement came to a halt when the sounds of screaming hit my ears. I turned and looked out of the window to see the humans were running together in groups. My grasp on the handle of the stroller became tighter and I pulled it closer to me as the yelling turned in to flat out screams of terror. "What the hell is going on?" Alex asked. I started heading out of the door, trying to figure out what was going on. I didn't hear a loud crash or anything so I don't think it was that. When I stepped outside I scanned my eyes across the area. "Beth stay here with Apollo, Jasper come with me. Alex Jenson stay beside them." I said before I made my way down the front stairs. I saw Granger running, like his life depended on it and I had just enough time to grab him by the shirt. "What the hell is going on?" I asked. "Beasts!" Granger screamed as he tore from my hands. Beasts? What the hell is he talking about? That's when the smell hit my nose and it smelled like death was standing before me.
My head snapped to the side to see two overly large deranged looking wolves staring right back at me. They didn't seem like a threat right now and I knew the shield would keep them out. One tried to take a step forward and the growl that ripped from my throat was closer to Apollo and Beth, Jenson was pushing his aura out and fire crept up his arms. I heard a growl come from the other one and that was enough to set Delilah off, before I knew what was happening I had shifted and Delilah charged towards them making them take a step back. I felt her growl rumble through me like a tidal wave and I knew it wouldn't be long before the others would be here. "Delilah they can't get in, calm down and let me talk to them." I tried to reason with her. "Those bastards pose a threat." Delilah growled back. "Delilah! Stop! We don't need to scare Apollo, please just let me try to get them to talk." I snapped. "Fine but if one takes a step forward I'm taking over and that shield won't stop me." Delilah replied.
I pushed my way forward until I had shifted back. Before I could get a word out a threatening roar came from behind me and I knew it was Rex. I turned quickly and held my hands up stopping him. "They can't get in my wolf. Please let me speak to them but stand beside me. I need Apollo and Beth to be blocked off." I whispered. I turned back around and got as close to the shield as I possibly could. "Can you shift?" I asked. Both wolves looked at each other before turning back to me. "If you do not shift we will come out and kill you." I snapped. After a few moments one of them shifted into a man. "What is your reasoning for being here?" I asked. I felt Rex stand with his head over me and his chest against my back. "We mean no harm, we seek shelter." He replied. "You have two wolves, correct?" I asked. "No. We denied the second wolf and were banished." The man replied weakly. "Why are you both so big then?" I asked. "Because we were forced to go through a ritual to make our wolves bigger but they are hurting. It's too much for them to handle, please help us." The man begged.
I could see it clear as day on his face that he was scared out of his mind. "Who is that?" I asked. "That is my mate, please she is pregnant." The man begged once more, taking a step forward earning a growl from Rex. "She needs to shift. You both will be placed in handcuffs and in the cells until we learn more." I replied. I could see it in her aura that she was glowing which meant she is in fact pregnant and I couldn't turn them away knowing that. "Jasper, Jenson! Get the cuffs and come to me. Alex, Stephen stay by the others. Rex by me." I yelled out. The moment everyone did what they were told I took a step forward, the woman had finally shifted back revealing her small baby bump, they both held their arms out as the boys cuffed them and pulled them back in time for Stephen to close the shield. "You both will get a shower, food and clean clothes before you are taken to the cells and then I want to know everything." I said looking between them. They were absolutely filthy and stunk worse than rouges ever could. They both nodded their heads, I turned on my heels to see the humans had come out of hiding. "All is well, please continue." I said as we walked by them.
The last thing I needed was for one of them to get hurt but I was determined to find out why these two ended up here with us instead of making a new life of their own.
