Chapter 400 Caught on the Spot

"In the group chat?"

"Did you also see his room number?"

"So, the entire crew knows he's at this hotel?"

"That damn woman Amelia, she's got some nerve!"

"Great, she's really stirring things up!"

Christian took a deep drag of his cigarette and said with disgust, "Put your clothes on and stay out of the way."

Brynn didn't dare say another word. She quickly picked up her dress and awkwardly put it on, standing in the corner without making a sound.

Wait, if Christian wasn't going to sleep with her, why didn't he let her leave?

What was he planning?

Brynn sneaked a glance at Christian's expression. The murderous intent in his eyes was terrifying, and she didn't dare think further.

The doorbell of the suite rang again.

Brynn's head shot up, staring intently, her fingers clenching, "Mr. Young?"

She had guessed that she wouldn't be the only one coming here tonight to seek opportunities. Others would take action too. She thought that if she came first, Christian would reject the others or arrange things so no one would disturb them.

But he did nothing.

If someone else came, wouldn't it be... wouldn't it be embarrassing?

Brynn bit her lip and looked at Christian pleadingly.

She wanted a chance, but she also wanted to stay alive. If she failed completely today, it would be over.

Christian continued smoking nonchalantly and said mockingly, "Why are you panicking? If you dared to come here, you should have considered this possibility. You can curry favor, but others can't? Even the lead role in a TV show has to be chosen. Shouldn't I have a choice?"

Brynn didn't dare argue and could only nod in agreement, "You're right, of course, you should... choose the one you like the most."

Christian sneered, "Since you know that, why are you still sitting there? Do you expect me to open the door myself?"

Brynn's legs were trembling, but she forced a smile, "Okay, Mr. Young."

Ashley, seeing the second person, thought it was more exciting than watching TV!

Female celebrities in the entertainment industry offering themselves up, right in front of her?

Amelia introduced, "This is a recent film school graduate. Her original role was just a minor maid with few scenes. She's really greedy, wanting to play the lead. Who gave her that confidence?"

Ashley couldn't speak, so Amelia continued, "They're probably busy inside. Who has time to open the door for her?"

But just as she finished speaking, the door opened.

It was Brynn who opened the door.

Amelia was stunned, "Is this even possible?"

Ashley touched her nose, thinking, yeah, is this even possible?

Christian was really good at managing them. Even when they ran into each other, they could still be orderly and harmonious?

Brynn and the girl were both taken aback.

They spoke in low voices, making it hard to hear, and then both "amicably" went inside.

Ashley was very shocked, "Two of them?"

Amelia felt nauseous, "Who knows, they have so many tricks."

Ashley couldn't imagine the scene. No, she couldn't get over the mental hurdle.

But within five minutes, another girl arrived at the door.

Ashley was shocked again.

Amelia said, "Isn't that the girl playing my maid? I really underestimated their ambition!"

Ashley ran her fingers through her bangs, speechless, "Impressive, very impressive."

But the real shock was yet to come.

Because within half an hour, three more girls arrived, all dressed to the nines, pulling out all the stops.

Amelia yawned, "Ashley, are you shocked?"

Ashley clasped her hands, "Very shocked."

All six girls were taken into Christian's room. They couldn't possibly be sitting together reading scripts and discussing lines, right?

Was there going to be a group scene inside?

Christian was disgusting.

Ashley could no longer look at him the same way.

Amelia rested her chin on her hand and sighed, "Who do you blame for this? Women flocking to dog poop like flies, is it the flies' fault or the dog poop's fault?"

Ashley was stumped by Amelia's question.

"This show has a total investment of over a hundred million dollars. The actors aren't big stars because Garry likes to use newcomers and potential talents. So most of the budget will be spent on production. I found out the post-production team has worked on several hit shows. Any show they take on becomes a hit. So if you can stand out in this show, it's like having one foot on the awards stage in the film industry. But looking at this situation, I can't imagine it."

No matter how much Garry pursues quality, can he withstand the pressure of capital?

Ashley said, "Given that you're here, is there anyone qualified among these six?"

Amelia objectively said, "Their skills aren't good enough. They haven't been polished. The lead role has many ups and downs and a lot of inner drama. Even with Garry's guidance, they might not be able to pull it off. This show probably won't be a hit."

Ashley thought for a moment, "In that case, it's definitely your role."

Amelia chuckled mischievously, "It's about time. I'm going up."

Ashley responded, "I'll go trigger the alarm. Take your time coming up. Are your feet okay?"

"Thinking about the villa, the helicopter, and the golden awards, all ailments are cured!"

"Okay, wait for my signal."

Ashley lowered her hat brim, grabbed a broom, and after looking around, aimed at the fire alarm in the hallway. She then took a smoke stick from the cleaning cart and lit it.

Just as she raised the smoke stick, the door next to her suddenly opened.

Ashley froze.

Damian stood there, holding the door handle, looking down at Ashley in her cleaning uniform.

Ashley raised her head towards the alarm, just enough for Damian to recognize her.

Time seemed to stand still.

Ashley quickly tried to find the cap to extinguish the smoke stick.

But she didn't have time to destroy the evidence. Damian grabbed her wrist, took the smoke stick from her, and with his height advantage, easily reached the alarm.

Ashley was stunned.

The alarm suddenly blared loudly.

The next moment, Damian kicked the cleaning cart towards the emergency exit and pulled Ashley into his room.

His series of actions were like a well-oiled machine: precise, smooth, quick, and efficient.

Ashley could barely keep up.

By the time she fully understood, she was already standing in Damian's room, and the door was locked.

She looked up, almost meeting Damian's gaze, "Why did you help me?"

Amelia's voice came through her earpiece, "Help you? Ashley, where did you go?"

Ashley took off her Bluetooth earpiece and put it in her pocket.

Damian, suffering from insomnia, had been lying in bed resting, so his hearing was sharp. He had heard every knock on the door next to him.

Finally, it quieted down, only to hear the sound of sweeping.

Sweeping at night? Was this the service level of a five-star hotel?

He wanted to see who was causing trouble, but when he opened the door, he saw Ashley deliberately creating smoke.

Why help her?

For whatever reason, deliberately triggering the alarm was unethical. But he didn't even want to know the reason. He instinctively wanted to stand by her side, to cooperate with her, to help her do something bad.

He said, "I'm taller than you."

Ashley blinked, "What?"

Forgive her, but she was really confused by this reason.

Damian was still holding her wrist. They were very close, breathing the same air, their eyes meeting. He could even feel her heartbeat. He coughed and said, "Triggering the alarm will cause chaos in the hotel. Aren't you afraid of being discovered?"

Ashley, wearing a mask and with her hat brim covering half her forehead, looked at him with dark eyes, "Why do you think I'm dressed like this?"

Suddenly, there was a commotion outside, with women chattering.

Ashley smiled, "Aren't there only two rooms on this floor? It sounds like a lot of people are staying here!"
