Chapter 516 The First Trial
Over there, Dante, who was woken up in the middle of the night, didn't dare to show any displeasure and respectfully said, "Mr. Hearst, it's so late, and you haven't rested yet?"
Damian said, "Tomorrow is the first court session. Make sure Volcano completely collapses."

Putting down the phone, Damian closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. Just thinking about Ashley's cold and sad eyes made his heart ache repeatedly.
He could no longer allow danger to surround him, nor let Selene's tragedy repeat.
The next day, the sensational KM project explosion case opened at the Rochester City Supreme Court.
Both parties' lawyers arrived on time.
Courtroom No. 1 began a long trial.
Outside the courtroom, reporters gathered, and everyone was waiting for today's big headline.

Ashley was also following today's trial, waiting for Harold to give her feedback.
But the first call she received was from Amelia.
"Back in the country and didn't tell me? I heard it from Harold. What's up with that?"
Ashley teased, "I'm not up to anything. I'm not a man."

"I'll send you my location. Hurry over."
Seeing the location, Amelia sighed, "Upgraded treatment, staying in a villa as soon as you get back."
An hour later, Amelia drove her newly bought car to the suburbs.
Amelia first praised Ashley's lifestyle, then her eyes widened as she hugged the soft and cuddly Natalia, "You're too cute!! Let me hold you!"
Natalia laughed continuously in her arms, looking up with her soft, adorable face, "You're so pretty, just like my aunt."
Amelia kissed her, "Sweetie, you know how to talk. Complimenting me and including Ashley too. Look closely, I'm even prettier."
Natalia smiled and then nodded cooperatively, "Yes! Both are pretty!"
Anyway, there was no ranking.
Ashley crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, "Don't fool Natalia. Just look in the mirror to see who's prettier."
"You're beautiful, you're beautiful."
Amelia laughed and handed a gift to Natalia, pulling Ashley back to the living room to chat.
After some small talk and teasing, they got to the main topic. Amelia whispered, "Is Natalia's illness that serious?"
Ashley nodded, looking at Natalia playing with a cat, "The doctors abroad had no good solutions. I had no choice but to bring her back to see domestic doctors, hoping to save her life."
Amelia licked her lips, "That doctor, in Damian's house? So you guys will see each other every day?"
Ashley was quite calm, probably because she had no desires. "If we see each other, we see each other. I won't be tempted."
Amelia was skeptical, "What about your happiness?"
"My parents are taking care of him. I didn't want to bring him back. You know how much he looks like Damian." Ashley said with a headache.
Amelia agreed wholeheartedly and gossiped, "Do you have any thoughts when you see a mini version of Damian every day?"
Ashley grabbed a pillow and thought, "No, I'm immune to men. Yesterday, I had dinner with a lawyer and almost threw up. Men!"
Amelia propped her chin and nudged her elbow, "I have something to tell you, don't be disgusted."
Ashley squinted her eyes and looked at her belly. "Pregnant?"
"Get out! I don't have your luck. Didn't I tell you someone in the crew has a crush on me?"
Ashley remembered she mentioned it, and then nothing, "So?"
"He confessed to me."
Ashley tilted her head, raised an eyebrow, and gossiped, "Did you say yes?"
Amelia shook her head, "No, still under consideration. We're both in the rising phase of our careers, and his reputation wasn't great before."
"Speaking of which, you haven't told me his name!" Ashley hit her head with the pillow.
Amelia deliberately dodged and laughed, "You know him too, Irvin."
Ashley was a bit shocked.
"Irvin? He slept with Paula, and I caught them in the act. How could you... I'm not saying you should be picky, but can't you choose someone better?"
Ashley still remembered when she sought revenge on Paula and caught Irvin and her in a compromising position in her apartment.
Irvin was kicked out of the crew and couldn't make it in the entertainment industry, reduced to sleeping with wealthy women.
Later, she kept her promise and, through Hendrix's connections, arranged a small role for Irvin. She didn't follow up on what happened next.
She hadn't watched any TV dramas in the past two years and didn't know Irvin's development.

She put it on speaker, "Who is it?"
Ashley rolled her eyes. Damn, showing off her love?
Irvin was attentive. "Where are you?"
Amelia's face turned red, looking silly, "At a friend's house, no work today."
She said she didn't agree, but her happiness was already overflowing.
"Have you eaten? Since you're not filming these days, eat something good. Don't go hungry. Is there anything you want to eat? I'll buy it and bring it to you later."
Amelia's eyes curved as she looked at Ashley, "My friend prepared food. I won't go hungry."
He said gently, "I miss you. Do you miss me?"
Ashley was genuinely jealous.
Amelia smiled, "Not really, been busy, no time to miss you."
"Then remember to think of me when you're free."
"Okay, you're so annoying. Bye!"
After the call ended, Amelia's face was still filled with the aura of a woman in love. "How about that? Isn't he sweet?"
Ashley smiled, "Before they get what they want, which man isn't sweet? He'd even eat dog poop if you asked him to."
Amelia spat, "Don't be so cynical, okay? I finally have a man I'm interested in."
Ashley didn't think Irvin was a good person. "Honestly, Irvin seems to be trying to please you. You have good resources and are rising to the top tier. Using your fame would help his career. You know the entertainment industry's hidden battles better than I do. Is there pure love?"
Amelia propped her chin and carefully observed Ashley, "Your own love life is a mess, but you're great at advising others!"
Ashley said, "I've been through it. What I'm telling you is from painful experience."
The lessons she learned were deeply felt.
Amelia nodded, unable to deny it, "Everyone's talking about the KM lawsuit. Have you seen it?"
"Waiting for Harold's call. It should be soon."

Amelia turned on the TV, and it was just in time for the financial news.
