Chapter 428 So Charming

Ashley had checked in advance that Trinity was having a party with friends tonight at the Blue Star Club.

This was thanks to Trinity's male assistant, Pax.

Every time Trinity did something bad, Pax was always there to cover for her, so Ashley naturally remembered his face.

As a lawyer, it wasn't hard for Ashley to investigate someone's criminal record. Even if she couldn't find a record, she could dig up some of their past misdeeds and intimidate them into compliance.

Pax had done plenty of despicable things, and under Ashley's threats, he revealed Trinity's whereabouts for the night.

When Hannah heard Ashley say she had completed the task in just a few days, she was stunned. "Ashley, you did all this preparation by yourself? How did you manage it?"

Reflecting on the past few days of nonstop work, Ashley also found it incredible. "At first, I had no clue, but then I ruled out a few less likely possibilities and dug deeper into the more probable ones. Bit by bit, things started to make sense. As for the threats and intimidation, reciting a few legal clauses to some law-ignorant people is enough to make their legs go weak."

"Then you said you used surveillance footage and recordings to scare your cousin. Do you really have those things?"

Ashley laughed. "The stuff is in my bag. I can use it to scare Trinity again later. People who have done wrong are always guilty and don't have the presence of mind to question whether what I'm saying is true. The key is to have enough confidence to intimidate them."

Hannah was in awe, feeling like Ashley was glowing with an invisible crown adorned with jewels on her head. "Ashley, you're so strong. It's a pity you're just a lawyer. You could totally be a high-ranking official, ensuring peace and order. No one would dare mess around under your watch."

When the car arrived outside the Blue Star Club, Ashley found an inconspicuous place to park. "No need to flatter me, but you can't go in dressed like that. You need to change."

Hannah glanced at the gilded entrance of the club through the car window, catching a glimpse of the grand dome through the revolving glass doors.

Then she looked at her own T-shirt and jeans and laughed awkwardly. "You're right, but I didn't bring any clothes."

"There's some in the trunk. Go pick something suitable."

Hannah's big, watery eyes widened to their maximum. "Ashley, do you have a hidden identity? Like a detective or something?"

Ashley smirked, pulling out a red dress from the trunk. "Yeah, I'm a princess too."

Honestly, Hannah almost believed her.

As night fell, the last rays of the sunset were swallowed by darkness. The western sky was dusky, while the east was illuminated by moonlight. On this clear summer night, with the brilliant lights as a backdrop, Rochester City was as splendid and bustling as daytime. The dazzling lights released countless lonely or wanton souls.

But those who could come to Blue Star, even if lonely, were adorned with real gold and silver.

While waiting, Hannah was repeatedly astonished. "Capitalists, tycoons."

Yes, under the night sky, each metal box filled with laughter was worth millions of dollars.

Ashley’s small car was parked far enough away to not look out of place.

"Envious?"

"No, no! I'm not that shallow. I think those people might not be truly happy."

Ashley laughed. "Don't be naive. Perhaps their happiness is beyond our imagination."

If they weren't happy, why would Christian, Hayden, and Damian always come to Blue Star for entertainment? Whatever secrets lay within, she, as a woman, might never know.

Some say that to experience the joy of being a ruler in Rochester City, one should come to Blue Star. The enjoyment here would make emperors envious.

"That makes so much sense."

Hannah was somewhat convinced.

Before long, Ashley noticed a black Maybach ahead. "They're here."

Trinity, in a tight little black dress and carrying a glittering handbag, was chatting and laughing with a few friends. You could vaguely hear her say, "I'm happy today. Everyone, have fun. The bill's on me."

She had just entered when her phone rang.

Seeing it was Paula, she frowned in annoyance but answered, telling her friends to go upstairs first. She walked to a corner of the spacious lobby and said with a smile, "Paula, what's up?"

After being threatened by Ashley, Paula had hesitated for a long time before contacting Trinity. She was afraid of getting into trouble and losing the benefits she had gained, but she also didn't want to bear the heavy responsibility alone. "Trinity, Ashley seems to know I reported her. She said she's coming after you. Be careful."

Trinity nonchalantly admired her freshly done nails, the tiny diamonds on them sparkling under the crystal lights. "She doesn't even have her law license anymore. Does she dare to mess with me? I'm just afraid she won't have the guts. If she dares to come, I'll crush her!"

After hanging up, Trinity cursed, "Idiot."

She had never taken Paula seriously. She had only approached her to use her against Ashley.

Now that Ashley was finished, Paula was of no use. She'd find a reason to get rid of her later.

Tonight, she needed to use the party to help her father solve some problems. First, she had to win over a few high-ranking officials' sons. Otherwise, from her father's tone, Emperial Avenue Group might face a comprehensive audit, which would be a big problem.

Also, Blue Star was Damian's territory. Maybe he would come tonight. Since Damian refused to see her or her father, she could only try her luck here. Maybe she still had a chance to plead with him in person to spare Emperial Avenue Group.

After they went upstairs, Ashley and Hannah walked gracefully into the lobby.

Ashley held a VIP card borrowed from Hayden, allowing them to pass through without any obstacles.

Hannah's eyes widened in disbelief. If they got any bigger, her pupils might pop out. When she saw Ashley's slender fingers holding that special VIP card, she was so excited her blood almost boiled.

No way?

This legendary Blue Star membership card, even Harold didn't have one. It was said that fewer than twenty people in the country held one.

And Ashley had one?

"Ashley, are you a member here?"

Not to mention the exorbitant annual fee, the entry requirements alone deterred many wealthy people.

Ashley casually put the membership card back in her bag and flipped her hair. "Found it."

Hannah was utterly shocked.

The elevator ascended to the third floor.

With Trinity's status, she could only operate below the third floor. She had no access to the upper levels.

A waiter respectfully asked, "Miss, you can go to the top floor. Are you sure you want to stay on the third floor?"

Ashley’s red lips curved into a beautiful smile, her eyes, enhanced by makeup, exuding a casual charm. "We'll stay on the third floor. Please open room 302. Thank you."

She then casually pulled out a few bills from her bag and slipped them into the waiter's collar, patting it.

The male waiter's soul was almost entirely captivated by her.

Hannah covered her mouth with both hands to stifle an inappropriate exclamation.

Ashley was so charming, so good at seduction!

Entering the private room, Ashley locked the door and quickly opened her shoulder bag. "Stop daydreaming and help me."

Hannah didn't have time to admire the room's decor. She lifted her skirt and sat opposite Ashley, staring at the items on the coffee table in shock. "Ashley, did you bring your own drinks? Is the alcohol here that expensive?"

Ashley chuckled. "Yes, the drinks are too pricey. Do you want to try my special cocktail?"

"No, I'm afraid I won't see the sun tomorrow."

Ashley picked up a bottle of whiskey, turning it in the light. The transparent liquid sparkled. "This is a gift for Trinity. She'll love it."
