Chapter 433 To Him, Wild and Unrestrained

Jessica raised her hand and asked the waiter for a lemon soda and a low-alcohol cocktail, then smiled and explained, "He had some drinks today, so he can't have more. I hope you don't mind?"

Ashley wore a smile devoid of warmth, glancing at Damian out of the corner of her eye, "You're really considerate. Mr. Hearst is lucky."

So, Damian was especially gentle with her, even using a condom for her.

Jessica began to explain, "Ms. Astor, you..." misunderstood.

Damian interrupted her, letting the misunderstanding continue. Just then, the waiter passed by, and he waved his hand, his long fingers sliding gracefully, "Brandy."

Jessica wanted to stop him, but she didn't have the courage. She could only worriedly place the soda water in front of him and softly said, "Brandy has a high alcohol content. Drink some water first."

Ashley sneered, "Jessica and Mr. Hearst seem to get along well. When did it start?"

Jessica looked uneasily at Damian. She didn't dare let others have such a misunderstanding unless Damian himself allowed it.

And at this moment, he really did allow it.

Damian didn't answer but also didn't touch the water glass.

Sean still remembered the last time he met Damian, it was at Cloud ManHearston, and his companion then was Trinity.

Seeing him again today, he had a new partner.

It's common for men to play around, but the actions of the two in front of him were more like a couple.

"What does Jessica do?" Sean broke the awkward atmosphere among the four.

Jessica took a sip of her drink and smiled, "It's not as glamorous as Ms. Astor's profession. I'm just an ordinary doctor."

Ashley was a bit annoyed, "Mr. Ross asked about your profession, why bring me into it?"

Jessica smiled, "I didn't mean it that way. I really admire and envy your profession. Being a lawyer requires extraordinary eloquence and wisdom."

The more she praised, the more uncomfortable Ashley felt, and she looked at her with increasing displeasure, "You're overpraising. As Mr. Hearst's woman, what's there to envy? When you came in, those women's eyes were practically glued to Mr. Hearst. It shows you're smart, choosing a man who can satisfy your vanity."

Ashley's words were sharp and unkind.

She was just uncomfortable, unhappy, and wanted to make things difficult for Damian!

Damian played with the brandy glass, sipping slowly.

Ashley's harsh words, however, only served to reinforce the misunderstanding about her and Damian's relationship. This pleasure melted in her heart, and Jessica felt an indescribable glee, "You're happy too. I can see your boyfriend is gentle and considerate to you."

Sean sensed the tension in the air and interrupted, "Jessica, Ashley and I are not lovers, please don't misunderstand."

"Really? I saw you two being quite close just now. Even if you're not now, you will be in the future. You two are a perfect match."

Ashley coldly looked at Damian, who was sitting there indifferently watching the drama, and gritted her teeth, putting down her glass, "Mr. Hearst, you're well-informed. What do you think? Are Mr. Ross and I a good match?"

Damian's handsome face was as cold as a high mountain flower. Although he was sitting there, it seemed like he was detached from the situation, and the mundane conversation didn't reach his ears.

Hearing Ashley's voice, he glanced over with his dark eyes, "Not a match!"

With one sentence, the surrounding air suddenly dropped, as if snowflakes were falling.

Ashley's mind was a bit confused, but she still remembered what he had said before. Sean was from a prestigious family, while she was just a nobody, only dragging others down. She wasn't worthy of Sean.

He was right. The revocation of her lawyer's license further validated his stance.

She and Sean were from two different worlds.

But today, she was too sad, so sad that she wanted to act out, to be reckless, "When you love someone, you don't consider whether you're a match. Only absurd arranged marriages weigh the pros and cons of background. In the face of true love, mountains and seas can be moved!"

Sean was momentarily stunned. Was he hearing drunken words or the truth after drinking?

Damian put down his glass, curling his lips with a hint of ambiguity, "Ms. Astor, you called me today, what's the matter?"

This question left everyone stunned.

Ashley wanted to deny it, but then she heard Damian say, "It's past eleven at night. Ms. Astor probably wasn't calling about work. Since you couldn't communicate over the phone, I'll give you ten minutes to come over and talk."

With that, he stood up and grabbed Ashley's wrist. Before she could react, he coldly said to the others, "I have a private matter to handle. Please feel free."

Sean wanted to follow, but Jessica bitterly smiled, "You'd better not stop him, or you'll both suffer."

This wasn't the first time Jessica saw Damian act impulsively because of Ashley, but she could never understand why.

Sean didn't follow because he knew Damian and Ashley had a deep relationship, perhaps with meanings he shouldn't know. He couldn't intervene rashly.

"You're not Mr. Hearst's girlfriend?"

If she were, she wouldn't be so generous.

Jessica bitterly smiled, "He's Mr. Hearst. How could he have only one woman? But this matches his status. Don't look at me with that judgmental gaze. I love him, so I accept everything about him."

Sean put down his glass, "Excuse me for a moment."

Jessica tried to stop him again, "Mr. Ross, do you believe that going over will only make things worse? It's better to stay calm. Maybe Ms. Astor can handle it herself. Didn't she say that in the face of true love, mountains and seas can be moved? Don't you trust her?"

Sean picked up his briefcase and sternly said, "Believing is one thing, but protecting the person you care about from harm is another. Your generosity is admirable, but love doesn't allow for interference."

Jessica watched Sean's hurried steps, her heart aching as if it had been struck hard.

She envied everyone, but she didn't even have the status to chase after him.

Ashley was dragged by Damian to the car outside and forcefully shoved into the passenger seat.

Her back hit the leather seat, and Ashley winced in pain, "It's been days since we last saw each other, and you start by dragging me. What do you mean, Mr. Hearst?"

Damian's dangerous and aggressive figure suddenly loomed over her, his arms propped on the seat, trapping Ashley's slender upper body, his gaze intimidating, "Are you doing this on purpose? Did you take my words as a joke?"

Ashley's head, already aching from the wind, hurt even more now, "I called you, but you didn't answer."

Damian angrily punched the seat back, his eyes cold as ice, "Is that your excuse for flirting with Sean? If I hadn't shown up tonight, what were you planning to do? Go to a hotel with him?"

Ashley, yelled at by him, felt her head about to split. She grabbed Damian's tie and yanked it down, her breath mixed with the scent of alcohol hitting his face, "So what if I was?"
