Chapter 101

Seoul, Korea
NuStarr Talent Management Headquarters

Hu Jae chuckled. “Oh, Son, you truly have your mother’s vicious temper and vindictive nature.”

He snorted. “Don’t compare me to that woman. She left us.”

“She did, but you are still her son,” Hu Jae reminded him. “Are they any closer to finding the stalker?”

Dae-Ho saw the change in subject for what it was, and he’d allow it since he refused to talk about the mother that abandoned her only child and husband. “Yes and no. Ong Se-Ri has been temporarily dealt with, but the stalker that was trying to keep the nosey reporter from reporting is still unknown. They think that stalker is of much more concern because those types of stalkers are dangerous and can escalate quickly to kidnapping or murder.”

He gave his son a look. “That isn’t troubling in the least.”

“Tone noted, Dad. It is troubling, and I’m scared for her. But Cousin’s bodyguard won’t let anything happen to her… Though, that I fear is going to cause a bit of tabloid fodder.”

Hu Jae sighed. “What is it? Did she fall for him?”

Dae-Ho shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe? You can’t fault her if she did because he’s hot… Personality sucks, from what I’ve seen, but I think she sees a side of him that even his siblings don’t get to see. He’s been professional, as has she, but you know the media will turn it into something scandalous and to report on. In my opinion, force the Production House to do a callback to set so Cousin can get that stupid movie wrapped, and find work with a different House, lead, and maybe even something outside of Korea. She needs a fresh start, and I think this might be the kick in the butt she needed… If only it doesn’t get her killed in the process.”

Hu Jae nodded his agreement. “I am paying handsomely to prevent that from happening. Are there any concerns I need to be aware of aside from the possible tabloid scandal of Myo Mi-Sun falling into bed with her bodyguard?”

Dae-Ho chuckled. “I might fall into bed with mine. He’s beyond hot and a shameless flirt that is driving me crazy with desire!”

“You are not Korea’s sweetheart, thus the Nation wouldn’t care,” Hu Jae reminded him.

“I could have been.”

“Yes, you could have. Instead you refused to act anymore once your cousin hit it big. Please don’t sleep with any of your sister’s bodyguards,” he pleaded. “I can’t handle that right now. One world changing event at a time, that’s all my old heart can handle.” He opened his desk drawer and pulled out a file then offered it to him. “Something interesting that came across my desk this morning. That’s why I called you.”

Dae-Ho took the file and flipped it open. His eyes widened and he looked from the correspondence from a Production House in London to his father. “You can’t be serious.”

Hu Jae nodded. “Apparently more than the Nation has taken an interest in Myo Mi-Sun’s new look and demeanor on the red carpet. Did you want to take that to your cousin?”

He nodded quickly, getting to his feet and took the inquiry from the folder and folded it up then put it in his inside jacket pocket or safe keeping.

“I’ll make sure your new Fan Club President gets home,” Hu Jae said.

Dae-Ho smiled then hurried from the office; Lucien was waiting in the car for him.

Once the elevator doors closed behind his excited son, Hu Jae motioned for his secretary to send in the man that was waiting in the security office for a meeting.

Bi Jo entered then bowed.

“You have sixty-seconds to change my mind about calling the police on you for what happened at the premier,” Chairman Hu warned.

Bi Jo bowed again. “I’m scared for Myo Mi-Sun’s safety,” he said in a rush.

Chairman Hu hung up the phone in his hand. “Sit,” he instructed, so the man did. “Tell me everything, and don’t mentally edit,” he warned.
