Chapter 110
Seoul, Korea
The Gangnam District
Oblivious to a potential threat, Myo Mi-Sun waved with both hands and smiled wide when Dae-Ho hit record.
“Hello! I wanted to introduce everyone to someone that is going to be very, very important in my world, someone that has been here and supporting me over the years, just like each and every one of you have,” Myo Mi-Sun beamed. “This is the new President of the Myo Mi-Sun Fan Club, President Pan Jin!” she introduced.
Pan Jin bowed. “Hello,” she greeted with a wave. “I’ve been a member of the Myo Mi-Sun Fan Club for a decade, and it is an absolute honor to be able to do this for you and the fans now,” she told Myo Mi-Sun. “I promise I won’t let you or the fans down.”
The three slid to the left when Lucien took a corner faster than needed, causing them to glare at him in return.
“Sorry for the bumpy ride,” Myo Mi-Sun apologized. “Filming on my latest project will resume next week so I’m getting out there to see my fans as much as possible before I’m stuck on set again. I miss you all, and I can’t wait to see you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the President if you have any questions, concerns, want an autograph… You know that I’m here for you, even when I was temporarily lost it seemed, you were still by my side and I thank you for that.” She wiped away the tear that rolled down her cheek.
“We’re in this together,” Pan Jin promised her and the fans, running interference for Myo Mi-Sun. “We got this!” she beamed, giving two thumbs up.
Dae-Ho nodded. “We’re in this together, always,” he agreed before ending the recording.
Kita turned to look at Rain. “Are you okay?” he asked, handing her his handkerchief.
She nodded, using the soft indigo colored handkerchief to dab away the second tear that rolled down her cheek. “I miss doing this kind of stuff, and I feel like I let my fans down because I disappeared after Gang Moon hurt me… He hurt my fans, too. I should have never allowed him to do that or to use me like he did.”
Kita took Dae-Ho’s mobile phone off the steady stick. “You are stronger now, Seon Rain. Remember what he did to you and do not let him do it again.” He hit play on the video and watched it, making sure it didn’t show anything that it shouldn’t before Dae-Ho uploaded it to the internet.
It was surprisingly steady and didn’t show more than Kita would have liked; the buildings they were driving past were blurred on the sides and the dark tinted windows helped to keep the privacy they required. He started to give the phone back to Dae-Ho when he noticed something.
Behind them, driving two cars back, was the same car that was behind them in the video. Lucien had taken multiple left turns, driving them in a circle since he had gotten them to the area they needed early as he said he would.
Kita had assumed that was why his brother was driving like that, but he should have known better.
Lucien saw what he hadn’t.
“We have a tail,” Kita said, tossing the mobile phone to Dae-Ho.
Lucien nodded. “I know. Why do you think we’ve done two circles?” he rhetorically asked.
Rain looked behind them. “Where… What? Is it… Wait, the white car?” she asked with a groan when she saw it.
They nodded.
“Why won’t he leave me alone?!” she demanded, trying to keep from screaming in frustration. “Can I borrow your gun?” she asked Kita, holding her hands out.
The corners of his mouth twitched in amusement.
Dae-Ho looked behind them. “Are you serious?!” he complained when he saw the car that was trying to stay back so they didn’t notice him. “Kita, you have my blessing to put a bullet between his eyes.”
Kita started to reach for his sidearm when Lucien smacked his hand away, shaking his head.
“Gang Moon?” Lucien surmised since there was only one person that could make calm and always trying to play the peacekeeper Seon Rain murdery, as she called it. He pressed a button on his mobile phone and it sent a signal to William Lee’s mobile that assistance was needed.
They nodded.
“Let us leave homicide as the third or fourth option,” Lucien told three of the four. “Dae-Ho, reach out to the reporters you have in your pocket and get them on site. We will run the story we want,” he instructed. “Will, make a call to Tan Mi-Hi and utilize that new contract please. Have her meet us at the next event with a live feed crew ready.”
Kita gave his brother a look then growled softly under his breath when his mobile phone vibrated with an incoming text. “Lula says to abort,” he scoffed, pocketing his mobile phone.
“But we are not,” Lucien agreed with a smile. “You two, make sure you are live broadcasting on all of the official Myo Mi-Sun pages. If it goes sideways we will spin it in a way that will work in our favor. Pan Jin, send out a call on all social media for Myo Mi-Sun’s fans to join her today at this event-”
“Flash mob?” Kita dryly asked, pulling his sidearm and checked to make sure a round was chambered and clip was full before repeating with the other.
“It works when needed, especially for humiliating a stalker that you want to kill,” Lucien pointed out. “This is your time to put Gang Moon in his place, Seon Rain. Make him look like the world’s biggest assh*le. Embrace your villain side, own it, and close this chapter in your life.”
That was the very last thing Rain wanted to do today, but as usual, Gang Moon wasn’t giving her a choice in her own life, especially when it comes to matters of the heart…
Her heart.
But she’s done.
Seon Rain was going to take back control of her life from Gang Moon, and is going to put him down like the dog he is…
And if that doesn’t work, Kita has her blessing to shoot him.
