Chapter 103

Seoul, Korea
Snowdrop Suite

“What’s wrong?” Kita demanded, hurrying back to the living room. “Brother, what happened?”

Lucien shrugged with a smile; Dae-Ho already told him the news.

Rain started bouncing up and down then screamed with excitement.

Kita joined them and took the paper Rain was offering him.

“The production company in London that is producing the next James Bond film wants me to read for the role of the villain!” Rain beamed.

“Manager Hu, I hope this correspondence finds you well,” Kita read aloud; the request was in English. “Our casting director came across video of one of your actresses from a red carpet event in Seoul, and that has promoted our inquiry. Next Spring we will be having a shortlisted casting call to read for a role that has yet to be cast in our upcoming production that is to release in the Summer of 2022. Filming for this role will take two to four months, and filming will be done in London and a to be scouted location… How do you know it’s a Bond film?” he asked, looking at them.

Dae-Ho bounced with excitement with his cousin. “That production company only does Bond films. They solely own the rights to the franchise! Industry insiders have been speculating that the delays in casting of the villain of the next installment is because the script isn’t done yet, so it could be a man or a woman. This is major!”

Rain nodded her agreement, tears flooding her eyes.

They were tears of happiness for once.

“It says you have to be able to speak eloquent English,” Kita said, reading the notated requirements. “And know a form of martial arts on an intermediate level, as well as have some type of basic weapons training.”

Lucien joined them, sitting in Kita’s spot on the couch. “She speaks English, and we can help her refine it, or Mother can. And between you, me, and Lula, we have more than twenty black belts between us so we’re more than capable of teaching her a form of martial arts, not to mention weapons training.”

“We are her security team, not teachers,” Kita argued.

Rain pouted; he was being mean again for no reason.

“Fine, I’ll call Father and have him do it,” Lucien said, causing Kita to glare at him. “Either you do it, or Mother and Father come to Seoul to do it. The decision is yours. You have six months to get Myo Mi-Sun to a yellow belt. Shouldn’t be that hard if she doesn’t take any other jobs until then and once her current project is wrapped she’ll have a wide open schedule.”

It was obvious that Lucien and Dae-Ho already discussed this, at length, and had it figured out.

“You want me to get someone that has never stepped foot in a training room,” Kita started, “to a yellow belt in Songahm Taekwondo in six months?”

Lucien nodded. “I have faith in you. Rain already proved she is a quick study. What will it hurt?”

Kita shook his head and headed from the suite, slamming the door shut behind him.

Rain wiped her eyes; now they were tears of sadness.

“That went as expected,” Lucien said, pulling his mobile phone out.

“He has a point,” Rain said, coming to Kita’s defense. “You all were hired to be security, not my kung fu teacher or English coach. It’s okay.”

Lucien smiled “Oh, Seon Rain, you are adorable. But this is exactly why we were hired,” he promised, hitting SEND on his phone then put it to his ear.
