Chapter 115
Seoul, Korea
Golden Gardens Hotel
How did so much go wrong, so fast?
This wasn’t what was supposed to happen!
Those in the industry knew that Myo Mi-Sun was a pushover and would never voice her disapproval of someone crashing her event, or using her for their own gain.
And she was correct when she said they weren’t her fans.
Bin Ji and Tae-il from the band were. They are diehard fans that had wanted to meet Myo Mi-Sun for years, but were too shy to ask for their management company to make an introduction. They had seen that Myo Mi-Sun would be in the area and they shared it to their fans before thinking it through properly. They quickly deleted the posts, well aware that Myo Mi-Sun liked smaller, more private events, but Cah So and Ya Da had already seen it and had formed a plan.
Now that quickly put together plan was horribly backfiring and could cost them everything.
“Are you insane?” Cah So demanded.
“What are you doing?” Ya Da scoffed. “The band has no interest in working with you!”
Myo Mi-Sun smiled. “You may not, but they will. Bin Ji and Tae-il, the founding members of BT5, where the B and the T comes from in the name, the ones with sole controlling interest in the band and all music rights, would have a very different opinion on their interest about working with me. You are merely two in the number 5 in the name, and from what I understand the numbers are replaceable.”
They glared at her.
“I can tell the therapy your agent and management company is forcing you to have is really helping you get over your animosity towards each other and the rest of the band,” she cheerfully said much too low for anyone other than them and the bodyguard behind them to hear.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Cah So warned, his fingers pressing into her side in warning.
“If you do not loosen your hold on me,” Myo Mi-Sun warned with a smile, “the one standing rather close behind us will kill you. And he will take insurmountable pleasure in doing it. Needless to say, he doesn’t share very well and I rather like that about him,” she mused, looking over her shoulder to Kita and he smirked.
Apparently, Kita liked her admittance as much as she did, even if she was merely acting for the cameras.
Ya Da looked around, his smile falling. “How do you know that? Why are you doing this?”
Myo Mi-Sun waved to the reporters and fans, as if nothing was transpiring and as if she hadn’t just threatened to ruin their careers. “The same reason you were crashing my press junket. The only difference is, I will get something out of it this time. Have your manager contact mine to coordinate a shooting schedule. I’m sure once the band has figured out the rest of the songs and know what to release, I’ll be available for the video. Then again, I might be 50 by the time that happens because the band hasn’t gotten one track recorded.”
Again, their eyes widened and their fabricated smiles fell completely.
Myo Mi-Sun turned her back to the fans and reporters then leaned into them. “Could you imagine what the others in the band, those with absolute oversight and control, would say if they learned of your actions here? Not to mention, what the record label would say if they learned the truth of the album’s progress, or lack thereof, was because of you two holding out for more money? Or of the fighting and threats of breaking up that have been echoing behind closed doors for a while became public?”
Sweat dotted their hairlines and rolled down the sides of their faces.
“Oh the trouble it would cause if the bad boy and the romantic in the band leaked that information to the press,” Myo Mi-Sun mused with a smirk. “It wouldn’t end well for either of you,” she informed them, her eyes going to those of the man standing behind them and he nodded his approval.
Cah So and Ya Da paled considerably.
That wasn’t news anyone other than the band knew, and if it got leaked they would be kicked out of the band. They were already skating on thin ice, as they say, and if the others learned this news was leaked by them, even if accidental or inadvertently, they would be ruined!
“Please don’t,” Cah So pleaded.
“You have some nerve,” Ya Da sneered, stepping into her. “With just a few calls, a couple of well publicized tweets,” he started to warn when his threat abruptly cut off and his eyes widened.
Rain pressed the small dagger she had been hiding in the palm of her hand against his crotch.
She smiled, closing the distance between them so they were nearly nose to nose. “I have been in this industry longer than you have, Ya Da. And I have had to deal with much, much bigger bad asses than you could possible imagine. And not once did I cower before them as you are now cowering before me. I am no one’s puppet any longer, and I will take insurmountable pleasure in bringing down all those that try to control and use me. Do you understand?” she rhetorically asked.
Ya Da opened his mouth.
“It is not up for debate or discussion,” she informed him before he could say something stupid that would force her hand.
Myo Mi-Sun stepped away from them, hiding the sheathed push dagger in the palm of her hand then motioned for them to head into the hotel and to wait for her in the lobby.
In actuality, they would be exiting that way. She had no interest in speaking with them anymore than she already had, and she wanted a shower because they touched her without permission and it made her feel dirty.
“Oh, and Boys,” Myo Mi-Sun added when they started towards the hotel. “Give my regards to Bin Ji and Tae-il, and let them know if they ever want to get coffee or have lunch, I will always accept an invitation from an actual fan.”
They glared at her as they headed into the hotel, quickly disappearing inside.
“That was strangely satisfying,” Rain commented when a hand rested on the small of her back.
Kita nodded. “Being evil has its appeal for a reason,” he commented. “Are you ready to leave?”
“Yes,” she started to say when the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end and the man next to her stiffened, his free hand reaching for his gun.
