Chapter 84

Seoul, Korea
Fashion Square - Loft 33

Rain shrieked, covering her chest with her arms. “No. No. No! I’m so sorry.”

Lucien gave her a look. “Why are you apologizing? They might be small, but they are lovely breasts,” he assured her.

The look on her face was pure horror.

“Uh, I mean,” Lucien stammered, trying to figure out how to get out of this one. “Sorry?” he offered.

Will shook his head. “Princess Di,” he said. “You’ll just have to remember to use the clutch to hold to your chest to keep from having a wardrobe malfunction.”

Lucien nodded quickly. “Yes. That! That’s what I was trying to say. Princess Di used her clutch like that when she got in and out of the car. She’d hold her clutch to her chest to keep from showing more skin than was appropriate. It’s a trick of the royalty trade, really.”

She quickly nodded her understanding, fighting the urge to double-over.

“You’ll be fine,” Dae-Ho promised her. “Dry your eyes because it’s time to get the after video for Tik-Tok. This will be the biggest and most shared transformation clip ever!” he beamed.

Rain sniveled, clutching her hands together in front of her as if in prayer.

“Come on,” Lula said, joining them. “Two-sided tape is the greatest invention when wearing something revealing like this. But it won’t stick to the silk. I’m assuming Modeste designed it so the belt would anchor it down and keep it tight to the body?”

Modeste nodded. “It only needs adjusted now that the silk and lace has stretched on the body.”

Lula took Rain’s hand. “We’ll get you situated so you don’t have to worry about showing more than you mean to. Just remember your clutch has more than one use; to keep you from being exposed, to use as a weapon, and storage for your phone, lipstick, a collapsible baton, and tracking device.”

Rain sighed and allowed Lula to pull her from the room and back to the suite where she had gotten ready initially, and Modeste followed, closing the doors behind them.

When the doors closed, Lucien smacked his brother, causing Kita to jump, startled.

“Snap out of it,” Lucien scolded. “She’s already terrified of walking the red carpet, and any confidence she had was lost when she inadvertently flashed us. And it isn’t as if you’re helping any. What’s with you?”

Kita shook his head then headed from the loft.

Dae-Ho raised his hand. “Uh, did he just quit? I mean, he left half-dressed. Did he quit?”

Will shrugged. “Most likely he wants to be even more armed then what he was originally planning on being tonight. Thank your cousin’s boobs for that.”

Lucien rolled his eyes. “It wasn’t the breasts that did it.”

“I’m scared to ask what was,” Dae-Ho asked.

“Never doubt the power a woman has over a man with merely her smile,” Lucien said. “An innocent smile is truly the most dangerous thing in a woman’s arsenal, and your innocent cousin wields that smile as if it were a lethal weapon. Even I’ve been on the receiving end of its cute, endearing wrath,” he reminded them, holding up his manicured hands as if that was example enough.

Rain had made Lucien sit down and get his nails done and get some personal grooming with the boys when they got back from getting lunch; she sat back laughing and taking pictures with Dae-Ho’s mobile phone.

It was the calm before the storm, in a matter of speaking, and Rain was going to enjoy that calm for as long as possible before she brought a single woman storm to the red carpet.

Now that storm was hyperventilating and losing their nerve, and her bodyguard was losing his mind it appeared.

It would be a very, very interesting red carpet event to say the least, one that Gok Soo and Gang Moon might not survive with their careers intact.
