Chapter 66

Seoul, Korea
Gangnam District

Will hung up his mobile phone and pocketed it. “Take these away,” he said, dismissively. “Modeste Augustin will meet us tonight and will make you a one of a kind gown for the red carpet.”

Lula rolled her eyes. “The event is in two days,” she pointed out.

“Yeah, and?” he asked. “Modeste is one of the fastest clothier in the world. That was how he got started. Now the question is, what should Myo Mi-Sun wear?” he asked, looking to Rain and tapped his mobile phone against his chin, eying her.

Rain shrugged. “Google her and you’ll see what she normally wears,” she offered. “Neutral colors, high neckline, nothing below the knee-”

“No,” Kita said, surprising her and everyone else. “Gown, long, with a short train in back and a slit in the front, low cut neckline, exposed back, in black or dark purple, long sleeves and one of a kind,” he said, looking to Will. “Use your connections and get shoes, heels that are at least four-inches.”

Will smirked. “Louboutin's standard pump is four-inches,” he said, thumbing through his mobile phone for a contact.

“Open toe, not a pump,” Kita said, looking to Rain, their eyes meeting. “Sparkly and strappy, and one of a kind.”

Rain’s wide eyes narrowed; he remembered that drunken discussion when he pretended he hadn’t?!

“Yes, I remembered,” Kita said as if he could read her mind. “I remember everything you tell me,” he informed her, looking from Rain to Will. “Don’t forget the matching clutch that needs to be able to hold a tracking device, collapsible baton, and mobile phone. Grab a pair of generic heels in her size that are four-to-five inches so she can practice walking in them at the hotel to prevent breaking her neck on the red carpet.”

Rain got to her feet and turned to face him. “Don’t talk about me as if I’m not even in the room. I hate that! Everyone does that to me and I hate it. You know I hate it, so why are you doing it?!” she demanded.

Kita cocked an eyebrow; that was why he was doing it. “What do you want to wear, Seon Rain?” he asked, knowingly.

She opened her mouth then promptly closed it with a huff.

He made his point with very little effort.

“I will be the bad guy in order to protect you heart and conscience from it,” he said, his tone soft, “until you are ready to embrace being a villain and breaking hearts.”

The corners of her mouth twitched, fighting to keep from smiling.

She hated how well he seemingly knew her, the real her.

“Are you ready to be the villain, Seon Rain?” Kita pressed.

Rain looked from Kita to Will; he was waiting for her answer as well. “I want it sparkly and unlike anything that’s ever walked the red carpet before,” she said with confidence.

Will chuckled. “It shall be done,” he said with a bow.
