Chapter 111

Seoul, Korea
Parking Garage

Pan Jin folded up the outfit Myo Mi-Sun had just taken off while the actress got redressed. “Is this normal?” she asked, confused.

It was exciting but terrifying at the same time.

Dae-Ho shrugged. “Yes, sometimes, but mainly no. The longing to murder Gang Moon is new, but I’ve wanted to do that for years. He’s a dick. But the wardrobe change, that’s normal. I always pack extra clothes for Cousin. It used to be because she always ended up with stuff spilled or dumped on her; that’s why I pack a bib now.”

Rain glared at him.

“I like to trick the Production House by making one day of non-stop interviews look like a week’s worth so we can take some time off without violating her contractual obligations,” he continued. “Usually they aren’t designer like this, but Modeste sent a rather impressive collection of clothing for us since Myo Mi-Sun is the exclusive Korean face of his new line. The packed outfits are used for that-”

“Or in case my stalker ex-whatever he is won’t take no and a death threat for an answer!” Rain complained, pulling her hair back. “I am very, very close to just letting Kita shoot him.”

Kita smirked and went for his sidearm and Lucien smacked his hand away from it, shaking his head in warning.

“Darker,” Rain said, handing her cousin back the lipstick he’d handed her.

Dae-Ho sighed and pulled out the darkest lipstick he had packed; the dark matte merlot from the red carpet.

He had a feeling it would be needed today.

“It’s trending,” Pan Jin said, checking her mobile phone. “And it was picked up by multiple high traffic K-Drama fandom sites. You might need to arrange for crowd control…” her words trailed off and her eyes widened. “Oh. My. God.”

“What?” Dae-Ho asked. “What’d you do?” he whined.

Pan Jin showed him her phone.

He looked at it and his eyes widened. “No!” he gasped, looking from the mobile phone to Pan Jin. “How in the hell did you do that?!”

She shook her head, her eyes just as wide.

“What did you do?” Lucien asked, weary to hear whatever it was the new young president had done to render the former president speechless.

Pan Jin shook her head. “I have no idea what I did or how, but Myo Mi-Sun’s next stop was just re-tweeted and shared by four of the members of BT5 on their personal Twitter and Instagram accounts.”

Lucien and Kita exchanged looks.

“And that means what?” Kita asked, feeling extremely old all of a sudden.

Dae-Ho snorted. “How old are you?!” he scoffed.

Rain punched him in the arm, knocking him against the door.

“Whatever,” Dae-Ho huffed, rubbing his arm. “I’m telling Dad,” he warned. “BT5 is one of the largest and most popular K-Pop groups in the world! They’ve been at the top of the pop charts across the globe for years. They’ve branched over into the US and Europe even, taking the Grammys, MTV Awards, American Music Awards, Euro Music Awards, just to name a few. They just retweeted where Myo Mi-Sun is going to be to their thirty-million followers.”

Kita’s mobile vibrated. “This is a problem,” he said, checking his message. “And Lula is going to kill us.”

Lucien shrugged. “Together we can take her, or at least take her down with us if it comes to it,” he offered. “Why is BT5… They are fans, of course. Are they in Seoul?”

Pan Jin quickly read through their posts and threads. “They are recording an album in Seoul. This is going to cause a riot. In less than fifteen-minutes this flash mob invite has been shared over a half-million times.”

Lucien’s mobile phone range so he put it on speaker. “You heard?” he asked.

Will chuckled. “Your sister is going to kill you all,” he teased. “Lula contacted the location and they were notified of the potential increase in traffic. People are already lining the streets out front. Where are you? I lost you when you took that turn down the alley two blocks from the site.”

“Parking garage,” Lucien said. “The client needed to change and prepare, and the risk of losing an eye from eyeliner while I drove was great. Apparently the pirate look isn’t marketable in Korea.”

Again, Will chuckled. “That was a good choice, I suppose. Lula wanted me to warn you that Ya Da and Cah So are going to the flash mob… Not that I know who or what that is, but she sounded pissed.”

“And who or what is it and why is it a concern?” Kita asked.

Dae-Ho and Pan Jin both gasped.

“Seriously, how old are you people?” Dae-Ho asked again, giving him a look.

Rain smacked him again. “Be nice. Ya Da and Cah So are two of the members of BT5. Ya Da is the bad boy of the band and Cah So is the romantic one… How do you know they’ll be there? Were you naughty again?” she scolded.

Will really liked that Seon Rain was pretty easy going and somehow finds a positive in every situation. “I hacked their mobile phones and tracked them, they’ll arrive shortly after you do. Staged, of course. They want to use the event to boost the interest in their upcoming album that is delayed due to fighting in the studio… I might have looked at their text messages and copied them and their photos and contact lists. Sorry,” he apologized when Rain sighed.

“It is okay,” Rain assured him. “You can take the hacker out of the dark web or streets or whatever, but you cannot take the hacker out of the man. I get it. You will only use it if it is needed, right?”

He chuckled. “Of course. Much like the impressively disturbing collection of dirty laundry your lovely cousin acquired over the years, I will only use what I questionably obtain when needed… Ow!” he whined. “Give me my phone!”

“I will shoot you,” Lula warned, taking Will’s phone since Kita wouldn’t respond to her texts. “I am assuming is was Luci that thought a flash mob would be the perfect way to put an end to Gang Moon’s unhealthy obsession with our client through humiliation. Am I right?”

“Oui,” Kita said, not liking her tone.

Obviously Lula thought of something Lucien hadn’t.

“You just waved a huge, huge crowd of fans, and two members of one of the most popular K-Pop groups in history, in front of a narcissist,” Lula pointed out, and those in the car groaned.

That, they hadn’t thought of.

“Kitty, you cannot, and I cannot stress this enough,” she warned, “shoot, kill, maim, or put your hands on Gang Moon. Luci will be the one escorting our charge… I do not have confidence in your ability to not kill him right now.”

Kita rolled his eyes, shaking his head; his sister was being overly dramatic.

“This press junket will be postponed,” Lula continued. “There is too much activity on the street and swarming into the lobby of the hotel. The journalists were not happy, but I was able to take care of it by offering each an exclusive interview over coffee or lunch. Truth is, I think they want to see what happens so they have a story to run and hard hitting questions to ask.”

None of them missed her tone.

“Seon Rain, get in and get out,” Lula warned. “Smile, wave, bat your lashes, give them those annoying enthusiastic thumbs up you do, and get out. Give the boy band members a photo op, and ignore your ex. Okay?”

Lucien looked from his brother to Rain.

The look on her face was one that he hated to see, especially because his sister is being a bossy b*tch.

“No,” Lucien said before hanging up.
