Chapter 82
Seoul, Korea
Fashion Square - Outside Loft 33
“Don’t call me that,” Kita complained, closing the loft’s door behind him.
“And what’s that?” Lucien asked. “What is our gigantic pain in the butt big brother’s problem?”
“Kitty is gay!” she beamed.
Will laughed and Kita rolled his eyes.
“Just because he’s never had a girlfriend, or kissed a girl that we know of, doesn’t mean he’s gay,” Lucien pointed out, amused.
It was an ongoing joke in the family.
“Oh I am quite serious, Luci,” Lula informed him. “It goes beyond his higher opinion of himself, taste for designer suits, and lack of interest in the opposite sex. Kitty completely redid the design for the event, color scheme, lighting, food, flowers, everything,” she dramatically informed them. “All color coordinated to Myo Mi-Sun’s outfit.”
Kita rolled his eyes.
“Okay, maybe he is,” Lucien conceded before laughing.
Will chuckled. “Oh, you are a mean, mean diva.”
Kita gave him a look. “I am not a diva, and I am not gay. I am merely highly selective and have been horribly traumatized by clients in the past that it left a lasting impression that is most likely therapy worthy.”
“Uh huh,” Will scoffed, trying to keep from laughing. “You are terrified of women, admit it.”
“Some of them, yes. Need I point out the obvious, that this harassing is coming from a man that spent how many hours getting his hair done?” Kita retorted, trying to end the conversation about his lack of love life.
They didn’t understand how traumatizing his last assignment truly was.
“I have a date to impress,” Will smugly reminded him. “You two, your new attire and red carpet wear is hanging over there. You will thank me.”
“Should I be scared?” Kita asked.
Will shrugged. “No. It’s nothing terrifying. Just a new ballistic fabric that I have been working on. It’s light weight, slash resistant, bulletproof but you’ll still feel the impact, and stain and wrinkle resistant. You are most welcome,” he said.
Lula knew it was a losing battle so she went to the rack she knew was hers and grabbed one of the new, tailored suits. “I will not thank you when I have asked you repeatedly not to buy me things,” she reminded him.
Will smiled. “The blush is thanks enough, Lula.”
She flipped him off, heading to the bathroom to change.
“I won’t keep her from shooting you,” Kita reminded him.
“If she does, I shall die happy at the hands of the woman I love,” Will said with a smile.
Lucien shook his head. “You all are idiots,” he informed them. “I can’t believe I am the sane one out of the lot of you.”
Kita shrugged out of his jacket and started unbuttoning his dress shirt. “That is merely one man’s opinion. Lula will be taking point on your protection detail tonight, Will. Lucien, you’ll be on the carpet. Dae-Ho will be in the security van with Shane coordinating with those on site-”
“No,” Lucien interrupted. “Dae-Ho will be on the carpet with his cousin to help run interference if needed. From what I have learned from Seon Rain, this will be nothing but political ass kissing, and grab-happy industry insiders once they start drinking. I won’t subject her to that.”
Kita nodded his agreement and slipped out of his shoulder holsters and set them on the table. “Agreed. We will make it a quick event, and arrive after Gang Moon and Gok Soo,” he said, slipping out of his shirt.
Lucien gave him a look. “Isn’t it customary for the stars to be the last to arrive?” he asked, knowingly.
Yes, his big brother was being petty and vindictive.
“Yes, it is,” Rain said, stealing their attention. “But stealing the spotlight is what the villain would do,” she mused, her dark matte merlot painted lips pulling up into a smirk.
The three looked at her with wide eyes and their mouths fell open.
“Isn’t that right?” she purred seductively.
