Chapter 210 Eye-Opening Experience
Eric's words deeply provoked RogueVortex and the others.
The atmosphere on the scene became extremely tense, with both sides seemingly ready to fight at any moment.
However, no one made the first move.
Everyone knew that if they started fighting now, it would mean an all-out war between the two guilds. No matter who won or lost, both sides would suffer heavy losses, benefiting no one. Therefore, neither WhisperbladeWraith nor RogueVortex wanted to see such a thing happen. Neither side could afford it.
"You think a trash player like you could get the Adversity-level first clear before us?" RogueVortex's face turned cold. He stared at Eric, asking in a sneer and a tone full of contempt, "Fine, let's start the competition right now. I want to see just how strong you really are."
After saying that, RogueVortex led his team into Orgrim Forgeworks, starting directly from Adversity-level without any warm-up or preparation. He clearly intended to show Eric and the Assassin's Alliance the gap between them.
"What's so great about them? They'll suffer soon enough," Thornheart sneered.
The members of Darkstar Guild hadn't formally experienced the twenty-man Adversity-level Orgrim Forgeworks and had no idea how difficult it was. Otherwise, Thornheart wouldn't have asked Eric for help. It was a last resort.
The Assassin's Alliance was in a very awkward position and needed a breakthrough, so they had to get the Adversity-level first clear.
"Yeah, who do they think they are? They'll be crying once they're inside the dungeon."
"Guild Leader, let's enter the dungeon quickly. I want to show Darkstar Guild the strength of Assassin's Alliance."
"That's right, Guild Leader. We're determined to get this first clear."
The other members of Assassin's Alliance, who had been downcast before, were now eager and ready to go.
Hearing their discussions, Eric just chuckled without saying anything.
WhisperbladeWraith, the Guild Leader of Assassin's Alliance, began to see Eric in a new light.
He didn't expect Eric to have such an effect.
The previously low morale had changed because of Eric's provocation. Now everyone was filled with righteous indignation, eager to rush into the dungeon, defeat the Boss, and get the Adversity-level first clear to show Darkstar Guild their prowess.
But Eric didn't care about that.
After all, he had been a Guild Leader before, and it was very easy for him to quickly unite a team.
The key was having an enemy.
RogueVortex was already an enemy of Assassin's Alliance, but Eric added fuel to the fire, making their fighting spirit even stronger.
Of course, this heightened morale was just psychological comfort. It wouldn't magically allow them to clear an dungeon they couldn't pass before.
Clearing the Adversity-level team dungeon required other key factors.
But Eric didn't mention that now. He just silently joined the Assassin's Alliance team, following WhisperbladeWraith into Orgrim Forgeworks.
Orgrim Forgeworks was a dilapidated weapon production factory. The terrain itself wasn't complicated; they just had to follow the corridor to the end to naturally see the Boss.
There were three Bosses in the entire dungeon. Although the number was small, each one was extremely powerful. In the twenty-man Adversity-level dungeon, they were all Chieftain Grade Bosses with very powerful skills, capable of instantly killing the MT. If they weren't familiar with the Bosses' skills and timing, it wouldn't be surprising to be wiped out dozens of times. Compared to the Bosses, the elite monsters were much easier to clear.
"I think everyone knows what to do. But since Kai Blackthorn dared to come in, I'll tell you what you should do. Your task is to deal as much damage as possible, dodge the elite's skills and aggro. The monsters here hit very hard, and even the MT will be hurt heavily when hit, let alone other classes. These monsters are also immune to control skills, so the healers will be under a lot of pressure and won't have much energy to heal others. Be careful," WhisperbladeWraith uttered slowly.
"Alright, that's all for the explanation. Let's start with the four elite guards and get a feel for our coordination," After saying that, WhisperbladeWraith directed two MTs to charge at the four level 10 elite Beastbane Marauders wielding giant axes.
Beastbane Marauder — elite level, level 10, 50,000 HP.
Because it was an dungeon, the monsters had increased HP and higher attack power compared to level 10 elites outside.
The two MTs, one a Shield Warrior and the other a Guardian Knight, each took on two Marauders. This was normal, but Eric was stunned by the damage they dealt.
The Shield Warrior's normal attack only did 32 damage, and even with a heroic strike, it only did 66 damage. The Guardian Knight was worse, with normal attacks doing 24 damage and Divine Strike doing 51 damage.
These two MTs were level 10, wielding Dark Iron Weapons. Even though they were using one-handed weapons, they should have been dealing more damage to same-level elites. Eric was shocked by how low their damage was.
Although the two MTs were trying to dodge attacks, they were clumsy and got hit often. Each hit made them stagger back a step or two. Fortunately, the damage they took wasn't too high, around 300 points per hit, totaling over 600 points for both hits. With their HP around 2,400, the healers found it difficult to sustain their health.
Seeing the MTs with over 2,400 HP, Eric was bewildered.
What the heck!
Their HP was ridiculously high.
They must have focused on stamina, neglecting strength and agility.
That would explain why these MTs, despite being skilled players, were clumsy at dodging and dealt pitiful damage. In contrast, a level 10 Assassin could deal over 100 damage with a normal attack and over 200 with a skill. The MTs' low strength and agility made them slow and weak.
Clearly, the players of Assassin's Alliance hadn't adapted to the combat style of "Divine Realms: Legends". Despite having many skilled players, they couldn't fully utilize their abilities. No wonder Assassin's Alliance was obscure in the early stages and only gained prominence after half a year. With such poor performance against Bosses, it's no surprise they got wiped out. It's a miracle they even cleared the ten-man Adversity-level dungeon before.
"Can I say something?" Eric looked at WhisperbladeWraith and asked softly.
Although RogueVortex was the major enemy, the team still had reservations about Eric. They kept quiet out of respect for Thornheart, but if Eric said something unpleasant, they wouldn't hold back.
"Say whatever you think will help us clear the dungeon. We won't refuse any useful advice," WhisperbladeWraith spoke, recognizing Eric's abilities and understanding why Isabella valued him.
"Can we replace the two MTs?" Eric offered bluntly.
