Chapter 79 The Mysterious Black Flame

In the Calderon Plains' heartland, groups of Savannah Cubs can be found roughly every 300 feet. A misstep by players could easily draw dozens of these creatures towards them. Nestled amidst the sprawling grasslands, near the central tree, resided a pack of level 6 elite Savannah Lionhearts—an area deemed forbidden to level 6 players.

However, within this restricted zone, Isabella's team was continuously clearing the surrounding level 6 Savannah Cubs, creating an open space for hunting the elite Savannah Lionheart. This audacious move would undoubtedly leave ordinary players in awe and admiration.

The squad engaged in battle with over a dozen Savannah Cubs.

Donned in a suit of Azure Trace armor, Isabella exuded the aura of a female warrior with her confident and striking combat moves, resembling a goddess of war. With a single sword stroke, she effortlessly dispatches three Savannah Cubs, deftly evading the claws of the remaining two—a sight that would astonish any onlooker. If a skilled player were to witness this, their eyes would likely widen in astonishment. Isabella's seemingly casual sword strike managed to hit the vital points of three Savannah Cubs simultaneously. Her evasive maneuvers were even more remarkable, as if she had eyes on the back of her head, effortlessly dodging the claw strikes from behind without even turning her head.

On the other side, Crimson Flame Sorceress Scarlet acted as a towering artillery, unleashing a Frostfire Detonation that swiftly reduces a third of a Savannah Cub's life. Upon drawing the ire of a redirected Savannah Cub charging towards her, Scarlet smirked, uttered the final incantation, her pristine hands swiftly inscribing the spell, conjuring forth an Inferno Dragon's Fury that engulfs the approaching beast in flames.

Scarlet's command of magic reached its pinnacle, excelling in both incantations and inscriptions. While an average individual might require 3 seconds, she completed the process in 1.6 seconds with an astounding 83% accuracy, unleashing an Inferno Dragon's Roar that boosts damage by 120%, swiftly annihilating two-thirds of a Savannah Cub's health with a single move.

After a brief exchange, all the Savannah Cubs lay defeated.

"Let's take a breather. Next, we prepare to lure over the two elite Savannah Lionhearts. Shield Warrior, you'll engage one; the other is mine," Isabella instructed, tidying up the dropped items as she gazes towards the two patrolling elite Savannah Lionhearts not far off.

While the group rested, Isabella received a message signed by Black Flame.

Observing the signature, Isabella furrowed her brow slightly. Previously, she had expressed interest in collaborating with Black Flame Blacksmith, and now, she received a reply.

Initially pleased, she soon found herself bombarded with messages from individuals claiming to be Black Flame Blacksmith, all attempting to deceive her for monetary gain.

"Isabella, more harassing messages? You could just set yourself to offline mode and avoid receiving any messages." Scarlet noted, noticing Isabella's unease.

Shaking her head, Isabella responded thoughtfully, "I don't actually know Black Flame Blacksmith. If the real Black Flame Blacksmith does try to contact us and we miss it, my post might just go to waste. I'll give it a look; after all, determining the authenticity of Black Flame Blacksmith should be straightforward."

Yet, as Isabella reviewed the message, she was taken aback. The concise message provided unequivocal proof of Black Flame's authenticity, directing her to the virtual trading center and a designated room with a specific entry password to conduct a trade for the Glowing Chestplate design.

"It appears that waiting all this time has finally paid off.," Isabella smiled faintly, discerning the authenticity of Black Flame Blacksmith from the message. After all, a fraudulent Black Flame would not possess a design blueprint.

"Has the real Black Flame reached out to you?" Scarlet queried, visibly intrigued by the mysterious blacksmith. "When will you be meeting?"

At this point, Black Flame Blacksmith had become ubiquitous, holding a design that could enhance any guild's power and influence. Each move he made served a strategic purpose, leaving even Isabella puzzled about his true intentions.

His maneuvers, at such a high cost, aimed to assert dominance in the ongoing battle of guilds, ensnaring all guilds in the Silvervale City region in his web. His manipulative tactics even earned Isabella's reluctant admiration.

Unlike specific individuals who flaunted their good luck and pretended to be skilled, Eric paled in comparison to the cunning of Black Flame Blacksmith.

"I just contacted him; however, he declined to add me as a friend. He only specified an encounter at the 8th level of Physis Gorge in four hours. Physis Gorge isn't far from here. I'll acquire the blueprint first, and after swiftly dispatching these elite Savannah Lionhearts, we should make it in time," Isabella remarked, elated. There were numerous top-tier guilds in Eldoria, and she found it fortunate that Black Flame was willing to collaborate with them. His intentions remained a mystery, leaving Isabella unable to decipher his true motives.

"Excellent, let's make haste. If that person grows impatient and decides not to meet us, we could be in a tight spot." Scarlet exclaims, her enthusiasm palpable.

Unimpressed by Scarlet's urgency, Isabella jests, "No need to rush; we have plenty of time." She was surprised by Scarlet's intense interest in Black Flame, different from her usual demeanor towards others.

Meanwhile, Eric has departed Willowbrook Town, heading towards the Ruins of the White Sands.

The Ruins of the White Sands, a level 10 monster area, serves as a critical leveling spot for players from Willowbrook Town and other nearby hamlets. The numerous quests here, including guild missions and reputation tasks, include two unique quests with advantageous incentives essential for players entering Silvervale City—reasons prompting Eric's visit.

As Eric traverses the White Sands, Isabella receives a message requesting an additional hour due to a prior agreement. To compensate for the delay, apart from purchasing a design worth 24,000 credit points, she transfers an extra 20,000 points as a gesture of goodwill—an act displaying her financial prowess.

Eric wasn't perturbed by the delayed timeline, for his tasks at hand require substantial time. However, 20000 credit points were equivalent to two months' salary for golden-collar professionals, yet Isabella merely regarded it as a small compensation for her tardiness...

This preliminary trade has already earned him over 40,000 credit points. Collaborating with individuals like Isabella, had numerous benefits, especially given her wealth surpassing even the wealthiest players in other virtual games.

Following his memory, Eric searches for a secluded path within the Ruins of the White Sands, eventually discovering a buried bastion amidst the pale sands. Guarding the entrance are two level 10 elite Dusktide Ironforge Dwellers.

Within this bastion lies an exclusive quest, "Fortress of Steel Shells Barutia Peaks."
