Chapter 312 Taking Risks Alone
As soon as Sutharos died, the other members of the Darkstar Guild were like headless flies, panicking and scattering in all directions.
Berserker Ezio from the Guild of Aether Wing was the first to rush within 20 yards. With a Charge forth, he stunned a fleeing Elementalist from the Darkstar Guild. A Thunderstrike Assault followed, with a fierce strike, suppression, and a Whirlwind Slash, taking down the Elementalist.
Immediately, the others swarmed in.
Unable to use skills and items, and moving slowly, it didn't take long for all the members of the Darkstar Guild to be killed, dropping a plethora of weapons and equipment.
"That was a satisfying fight. Let the Darkstar Guild think they're invincible with numbers. Now they're all dead," Cola laughed heartily, looking at the scattered weapons and equipment, his previous frustration from fleeing completely gone.
FlameDancer nodded and smiled softly, "This battle was indeed a relief. Not a single one of us died, and we wiped out over a hundred members of the Darkstar Guild. Now they'll have to rethink their plans to hunt us down."
A hundred elite members being taken down so quickly meant that without two to three hundred people, it would be suicide to go against the Aether Wing. To minimize losses, the Darkstar Guild would definitely reorganize their teams, forming groups of two to three hundred to hunt them down.
Tonny and the others also laughed.
Causing the Darkstar Guild to lose over a hundred elite members would surely make them feel the pain.
"Gather the dropped equipment. The Darkstar Guild will be here soon," Eric ordered.
The dropped equipment from over a hundred elite members of the Darkstar Guild was quite abundant, nearly a thousand pieces of weapons and equipment, mostly Dark Iron Level. The loot from this battle was much more than what they gained from the ten-thousand-man war at Rosewater.
Even Eric was quite moved.
Just this one battle could arm a hundred-man elite team. In the previous life, many large guilds liked to ambush the main teams of smaller guilds, not only to increase their guild's prestige but also to make a big profit. Compared to dungeon runs for bosses, the weapon and equipment upgrades were much faster.
However, this equipment still couldn't make up for the previous losses of the Guild of Aether Wing.
The elite members of the Guild of Aether Wing had better weapons and equipment than the Darkstar Guild, not to mention the main team members, who had quite a few Mithril-level and even Adamantite weapons and equipment.
"President, why aren't you leaving?" FlameDancer looked at Eric, who had leaped onto a tree, with surprise.
"You go first, I'll cover the rear," Eric was not one to sit idly by. Since he was here, he naturally had to take something from the Darkstar Guild.
"But it's too dangerous here, and you're not an Assassin," FlameDancer said worriedly.
"You've done enough. I'm the president of the Guild of Aether Wing, so let me handle the rest," Eric waved his hand, signaling FlameDancer and the others to go to the designated place and wait.
Hearing Eric say this, the members of Aether Wing felt a warmth in their hearts, a sense of indescribable gratitude.
In the entire Divine Realms: Legends, presidents willing to risk their lives for their guild members were extremely rare, let alone someone as famous as Eric, whose death would greatly impact his reputation.
"Then I'll stay too," Tonny said.
"How can I miss out on this?" Cola stepped forward.
As soon as Eric said he would stay to cover the rear, the others immediately expressed their desire to stay as well.
"Stop fooling around. Come with me. If you stay, you'll only hold the president back," FlameDancer could feel the cold killing intent emanating from Eric and knew she couldn't stop him. She looked up at Eric in the tree, "President, be careful."
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing," Eric smiled and took out a beginner's invisibility scroll from his backpack.
This scroll could make a player invisible, as long as they didn't use any skills, the invisibility wouldn't break, lasting for half an hour.
Shortly after FlameDancer and the others left.
Orchid arrived with a large group of over three hundred people.
"Sure enough, they're all dead."
Orchid looked at the corpses scattered on the ground and sighed slightly, but wasn't surprised. The previous Assassin's sneak attack was clearly a trap, but Sutharos's eagerness for success led him into the ambush.
"Revive them all," Orchid said to the healers.
Immediately, over thirty healers began using resurrection spells.
When players die outside of dungeons, there are two ways to revive. One is to revive at the graveyard, which takes half an hour. The other is to use a healer's resurrection spell, which can revive dead players immediately without waiting half an hour. However, if they die again after being revived, the next resurrection spell will take ten minutes.
In no time, over a hundred elite players were revived.
Sutharos, who had just been revived, was initially relieved that he wasn't a red name, only losing one piece of equipment and dropping one level. But when he saw that most of his equipment had turned into junk, he nearly went crazy.
Sutharos's equipment was a level 15 Dark Iron Level Outfit, which only dropped from level 15 team dungeons.
He had spent a lot of effort and time getting this set, and now it was all ruined!
Team dungeon drops were not like Wilderness Bosses, which could be done every three days. There were only so many level 15 team dungeons, and it had taken Sutharos two cooldowns to get the set. Now, to get it again, he would have to wait for another two cooldowns.
"Sutharos, what happened here? Why are you all dead?" RogueVortex, who had just arrived, looked at Sutharos and questioned him.
Sutharos was a member of The Stygian Alliance, so he didn't care how many people the Darkstar Guild lost, only about himself. But RogueVortex was furious. As the president of the Darkstar Guild, the strength of the guild was crucial to his future achievements. Now, over a hundred elite members had died for no reason, and the most infuriating part was that their weapons and equipment were gone. Levels could be regained, but getting the equipment back was not so easy.
"We were ambushed and caught off guard, so we all died. But I discovered something huge. Black Flame, for some reason, is also in Aether Wing's main team and is now a red name. This is our best chance to destroy the Guild of Aether Wing. Although Black Flame is extremely powerful, if we send out three to four hundred people, we can take them all down. If we chase now, we can still catch them."
Sutharos briefly explained the situation, making RogueVortex and Orchid understand.
"What an interesting person," Orchid thought, gaining more interest in Black Flame.
RogueVortex's expression suddenly became serious.
It was clear that with Black Flame commanding Aether Wing's main team, they had become terrifyingly powerful. From Sutharos's account, he also knew that Black Flame was a top player with extraordinary combat skills and tactical abilities. A hundred elite members couldn't stop Aether Wing's players. They needed to reorganize their team, forming a group of at least two hundred to even have a chance to hold them off.
"Well, Black Flame, you've dug your own grave. Since you dared to show up here, don't think you'll leave alive today," RogueVortex sneered, inwardly mocking Eric's foolishness. To prevent Aether Wing's main team from being wiped out, he had dared to risk his life and enter their territory.
Eric simply didn't know the meaning of the word "death"!
