Chapter 413 White Mist Canyon

As Eric was marking the system map of White Mist Canyon, more and more players were arriving from other places.

Eric had changed his appearance to BlackFlame when he came here, which drew a lot of attention.

"Whoa, isn't that President BlackFlame?"

"He's incredible. Just seeing him makes my heart race. It'd be awesome to get to know him."

"Look at yourself. President BlackFlame is the top player in Eldoria. Just seeing him is rare, let alone getting to know him."

"The One-Blade Reaper is here. White Mist Canyon is about to get interesting."

"Definitely. Smile Over Ruins' influence in Silvervale City is growing. If Aether Wing doesn't make a move in this White Mist Canyon battle, they'll be a laughingstock."

"But Smile Over Ruins has sent a lot of people this time. Look, even their branch leader RogueVortex is here. There's definitely going to be a big fight in White Mist Canyon. I came here just to see it."

Many players started discussing Aether Wing and Smile Over Ruins when they saw Eric.

The atmosphere in Silvervale City was getting stranger by the day. Smile Over Ruins clearly wanted to suppress Aether Wing but hadn't made a direct move, instead poaching members. It seemed they wanted to drain Aether Wing dry. Aether Wing had only responded by saying that any members who left would not be accepted back, and they lowered their recruitment standards. Other than that, they did nothing.

Both sides were unusually calm, maintaining a delicate balance. No one knew what they were planning.

There was a sense of an impending storm.

Both sides were now gathered at White Mist Canyon, highly wary of each other.

RogueVortex saw Eric and gritted his teeth, his eyes red with rage, as if facing a mortal enemy, exuding a murderous aura.

Any skilled player could sense RogueVortex's killing intent, and Eric and his team were no exception.

"Boss, it seems RogueVortex really hates you. You've killed him several times, yet he still doesn't learn," Rosewater said with a faint smile.

"He's just cocky because he has Smile Over Ruins' backing. Why don't we take him out again? It'd be a good way to dampen Smile Over Ruins' spirits," Tonny suggested.

"I can handle him alone. Let me do it," FlameDancer stepped forward.

Eric, who was still marking the map, just smiled and said, "Ignore him. We have a lot to do, especially you, FlameDancer."

Eric didn't take RogueVortex seriously. His real concern was Smile Over Ruins in Maple City and several nearby cities secretly controlled by The Stygian Alliance. He had no time to play with RogueVortex.

"RogueVortex, we're not here to fight Aether Wing. Don't forget our goal," a quiet, graceful woman standing next to RogueVortex reminded him softly.

Hearing her words, RogueVortex glared at Eric before turning and walking into White Mist Canyon.

The graceful woman then looked at Eric and his team, smiled slightly, and led a large army of over six thousand into White Mist Canyon.

"I remember that woman is called Orchid. I saw her once when we killed Sutharos. She seems to have a high status, making RogueVortex obedient," Eric noted, looking at Orchid with a hint of doubt.

Eric's attention to Orchid was purely instinctive. She had an indescribable aura of danger.

Eric was now a Blade Saint, equipped with top gear. Feeling danger from a player was unusual and caught his attention.

Eric had used Omniscient Eye to observe Orchid. She was just a level 24 Summoner with nothing special, yet she felt dangerous. It was puzzling.

After Smile Over Ruins entered, other guilds followed into White Mist Canyon, while Eric and his team waited quietly.

"Boss, Smile Over Ruins, Imperial Radiance, and Assassin's Alliance have all gone in. Shouldn't we head in too?" Rosewater asked, watching the guilds enter White Mist Canyon.

"Hold on a bit longer. It's almost time," Eric replied calmly.

White Mist Canyon was a leveling area for players between levels 20 and 30. It was suitable for players around level 20, but after the meteor shower, the monsters inside had gone berserk, making it difficult for ordinary players to level up.

In their berserk state, monsters' damage and attack speed increased by at least 30%, making ordinary monsters as strong as elite ones, and elite monsters even stronger.

But this was just the beginning.

The monsters in White Mist Canyon would continue to grow stronger and more numerous over time. Eventually, the weakest monsters would be elite, with most being special elites, and the stronger ones being Chieftain Grade or Overlord Grade.

And all these monsters were berserk...

Just thinking about it made one's hair stand on end.

Since the meteor shower, Eric was sure there were no ordinary monsters left in White Mist Canyon, only elites, and they were in large groups, refreshing quickly, with many deadly areas.

The core area of White Mist Canyon was even more dangerous. Entering recklessly would be disastrous.

The safe entry level for White Mist Canyon was at least level 20 for first-tier players or around level 30 for zero-tier players.

While having more people reduced the risk, it was still significant.

So Eric was drawing a new map of White Mist Canyon based on his memories, marking areas to avoid and noting mining spots and deadly zones.

It took time, but the new map would help guild members avoid unnecessary losses.

Time passed slowly.

As Eric recalled the old White Mist Canyon, many free players and guilds from Silvervale City had been inside for over ten minutes.

Suddenly, Aether Wing members noticed many players coming out of White Mist Canyon, looking very disheveled, in small, incomplete groups.

"What happened to you guys? You've only been inside for ten minutes, and you're all like this?" Tonny asked curiously.

These teams had decent gear, at least all Bronze Equipment. A small team should handle a level 22 or 23 special elite without much trouble, but these teams had lost nearly half their members...

"You don't know. The monsters in White Mist Canyon are all berserk elites. Even our level 21 Shield Warrior couldn't withstand more than five or six hits. One monster was hard enough, but they were in groups of at least three, with a large alert range. We barely escaped. Many teams were wiped out. We won't go back until we're at least level 25," a level 21 veteran player sighed, still shaken by the hordes of elite monsters.
