Chapter 235 Extreme Squeeze
Eric's disguise was incredibly convincing, and his gear had been enhanced by himself. He was fully equipped with Mithril Equipment, carrying an Adamantite blood-red longsword and an Adamantite blood-red large cross shield. His dazzling gear would make even the leaders of top-tier guilds envious.
Adding to that, he perfectly embodied the arrogant demeanor of RogueVortex, so much so that even those familiar with RogueVortex couldn't tell the difference.
Passing players couldn't help but turn their heads, their eyes filled with jealousy and admiration.
The glow effect of the Adamantite Weapon almost blinded them.
ScribeCharm, who was looking for a target with a slightly dejected expression, brightened up immediately upon seeing Eric disguised as RogueVortex.
'This gear is even better than our guild leader's. The guild he belongs to must be very powerful. I wonder if he's a player from Eldoria,' ScribeCharm thought to himself as he walked over.
"Hello, I'm ScribeCharm from Echoes of Dusk. Are you from Eldoria?" he asked expectantly.
"Are you blind? Of course, I'm from Eldoria. If you don't even recognize me, why are you playing Divine Realms: Legends?" Eric said arrogantly.
Instead of getting angry, ScribeCharm was delighted by Eric's reprimand and quickly used an observation skill on him.
RogueVortex, affiliated with Darkstar Guild.
After seeing the basic information, ScribeCharm immediately searched for more details on the official website and found most of RogueVortex's information, making him even happier.
"Sorry, I didn't realize it was the famous RogueVortex from Eldoria. I wonder if the guild leader is interested in ores?" ScribeCharm said slowly, not rushing.
Just as Eric had guessed, ScribeCharm was eager to sell the ores.
"Ores? Are you underestimating our guild?" Eric said angrily.
"RogueVortex, you've misunderstood. I know you don't lack ores," ScribeCharm said calmly, "But what about the other guilds in Eldoria? If you sell cheap ores to them in large quantities, wouldn't you make a huge profit?"
Eric pretended to show some interest.
"RogueVortex, fighting monsters consumes a lot of weapons. I think all the guilds are very interested in Whetstone of Precision, and I have a lot of the main material, sturdy stones, to make them. I can give you a cheap price," ScribeCharm added quickly.
"Cheap sturdy stones?" Eric showed more interest. "Go ahead."
"I have sturdy stones for just 10 silver coins per stack, and other ores are much cheaper than in Eldoria," ScribeCharm said confidently.
"10 silver coins per stack is cheap? Are you kidding me? Or do you think I have a lot of time?" Eric said angrily, "I'll pay at most 5 silver coins per stack, or no deal."
"RogueVortex, I know the price of sturdy stones in Eldoria. They usually sell for 11 or 12 silver coins per stack. If you buy them, you can make a net profit of one or two silver coins per stack. And I have a lot of sturdy stones, enough to make you a big profit," ScribeCharm said confidently, having checked it out and researched the prices.
"11 or 12 silver coins? Do you know when that was? That was two days ago. Now that everyone's level has increased, there are more places to get sturdy stones. They can't sell for that high anymore. My offer stands at 5 silver coins per stack, take it or leave it," Eric said dismissively.
ScribeCharm started to panic. His research was done two days ago, and as Eric said, players' levels had increased, and more sturdy stones were dropping, making mining more productive.
Echoes of Dusk collected sturdy stones for 3 to 4 silver coins per stack. Selling them to Eric for 5 silver coins wouldn't make much profit.
"I know it's not easy for you, RogueVortex. How about 8 silver coins per stack?" ScribeCharm tried to negotiate.
"Get lost, no deal." Eric pretended to be furious.
Although he said the price of sturdy stones had dropped, it hadn't dropped much in Silvervale City, still around 11 silver coins per stack. But Eric wasn't in a hurry because Echoes of Dusk was afraid of being stuck with the ores, which could halt their development and let other guilds surpass them.
"Wait, RogueVortex, how about 7 silver coins?" ScribeCharm called out as Eric started to walk away.
But Eric didn't stop.
"Alright, 6 silver coins, no lower," ScribeCharm said, seeing Eric's determination and feeling uncertain.
Eldoria players were hard to find, and finding a guild leader like RogueVortex was even harder. If he couldn't sell the ores quickly, they would become less valuable over time.
However, Eric didn't stop.
ScribeCharm panicked and ran to block Eric, saying urgently, "RogueVortex, 6 silver coins is really cheap. You won't find ores this cheap anywhere else."
"Can't find them?" Eric laughed.
Eldoria had few mineral resources, but other kingdoms and empires were different.
Eric then shouted, "6 silver coins per stack for sturdy stones, can't find a cheaper price than this?"
ScribeCharm was confused.
But many people on the street looked at Eric with disdain.
"Are you kidding? 6 silver coins per stack is cheap? In our place, 5 silver and 30 copper is considered expensive. If you want a lot, I can sell them to you for 5 silver coins per stack."
"That's hilarious, 6 silver coins per stack and you're showing off? I'd rather buy them back home."
Many people on the street started laughing at Eric.
But the one truly embarrassed was ScribeCharm. .
And someone had already offered 5 silver coins, which was a strong blow.
"So, you thought you were cheap? Can't find a lower price?" Eric sneered, "Why is everyone on the street offering lower prices than you? Do you think I'm easy to fool?"
"It's a misunderstanding," ScribeCharm said urgently, "How about 5 silver coins per stack, as RogueVortex said?"
"It's too late. Now I'll pay at most 2 silver coins. I just asked around on the street, and someone offered 5 silver coins. If I ask more people, the price might be even lower. Many kingdoms are rich in ores," Eric said with a contemptuous smile.
