Chapter 385 Professional Level

"No way!" Eric stared at the design blueprint in his hands, his mind racing.

The Adamantite Radiant Seraph Set blueprint he had snagged from the Tomb of the Gods was already top-tier, no question.

But with his current blacksmithing skills, he couldn't craft it. He needed to level up to a high-level Blacksmith, which would take a lot of time. Time he didn't have back then.

And now, he had stumbled upon an Epic Level set blueprint.

If he could gear up in an Epic Level set, taking down players would be a piece of cake. He'd be practically invincible.

Eric had been racking his brain on how to deal with the five cities controlled by The Stygian Alliance. Now, with the Broken Steel Set, he could single-handedly make those guilds sweat.

Knowing that the Blade Demon in the Source Sword Realm dropped the Broken Steel Set blueprint, Eric was determined to get his hands on it, no matter how exhausting it would be.

Fueled with newfound motivation, Eric dashed back to Sword Peak Mountain to hunt down the next Blade Demon.

Before he knew it, another day in Divine Realms: Legends had passed.

Before logging off to rest, Eric had slain dozens of Bone Giants and Blade Demons. In two days within the Source Sword Realm, he had collected 33 Pages of Inheritance and 8 Broken Steel Set blueprint fragments. He was close to completing both the Page of Inheritance and the Broken Steel Set.

Eric had spent two full days in Divine Realms: Legends without logging off. As he emerged from the virtual reality pod, he felt a gnawing hunger, but his body felt surprisingly refreshed, not at all like it had been lying still for 48 hours.

"No wonder the virtual reality pod is so highly praised. It even enhances the absorption of Grade S Nutrition Serum," Eric thought, clenching his fists and stretching his body. "My punch strength should be around 640 pounds now."

Grade S Nutrition Serum typically requires five days to fully absorb, restoring the body's latent vitality and repairing damaged cells.

But in just two days, Eric had fully absorbed the Grade S Nutrition Serum.

By his estimation, his physical condition had reached the level of a professional fighter, far surpassing his previous life's capabilities.

At least now, his physical attributes were no longer a disadvantage compared to the top players in Divine Realms: Legends.

"Being young is great. If I waited until after 25 to train, the results wouldn't be nearly as effective," Eric mused, satisfied with his current physical condition. With continued effort, his physical attributes would improve further, allowing his brain to unlock more potential and break through the limits he had always struggled with.

Despite his hunger, Eric didn't rush to eat. Instead, he went to the fridge in the living room, grabbed a bottle of Grade A Nutrition Serum, and downed it in a few gulps.

After 48 hours without food, even with the virtual reality pod's support, it wasn't wise to eat immediately. It was better to drink a nutritional serum to let his stomach adjust before eating a meal a few hours later.

Looking at the Grade A Nutrition Serum in his hand, Eric felt like he was dreaming.

Just over ten days ago, he would have winced at spending ten credits on a meal. Now, drinking a nutritional serum worth ten thousand credits didn't faze him at all. While his rebirth played a part, it was mostly due to the confidence that came with his newfound strength.

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

Eric checked the door monitor on his smartwatch and saw Tonny's anxious face. Sensing something urgent, Eric unlocked the door remotely.

"Eric, what's been going on with you these past two days? I couldn't reach you at all. I thought something had happened to you!" Tonny exclaimed, relieved to see Eric drinking a nutritional serum.

"What could possibly happen to me? Did something happen?" Eric asked with a smile.

"Of course! Smile Over Ruins has been poaching our Aether Wing members. Even though our guild's numbers are growing, many are tempted by Smile Over Ruins' generous offers. Their benefits are too enticing for many to refuse."

"I wanted to improve Aether Wing's benefits, but Rosewater said no. FlameDancer only handles the main team and agreed with Rosewater. If this continues, more people will leave, causing instability and negatively impacting Aether Wing. We need a solution."

"I've been trying to reach you, but since I couldn't, I came here myself."

Tonny explained the situation at Aether Wing, and Eric quickly grasped the gist of it.

"Smile Over Ruins really wants to bury Aether Wing with money," Eric said with a wry smile.

"Eric, you sound just like Rosewater," Tonny said, surprised.

"I get it. But I'm tied up with a task right now. Tell Rosewater to keep recruiting and lower the entry requirements, but keep the benefits the same. I want to see how many they can poach and how much money they can spend," Eric said, supporting Rosewater's approach.

Increasing benefits might temporarily ease members' concerns, but Smile Over Ruins could simply up the ante. It would turn into an economic war, with the side with deeper pockets winning.

Smile Over Ruins was banking on this, willing to spend ten times more if necessary because they had the financial backing to crush Aether Wing.

If Aether Wing increased benefits, Smile Over Ruins would just raise theirs, leading to a financial death spiral. Aether Wing, without major financial support, would be doomed.

Eric had seen this scenario play out many times in his previous life. The best strategy was to stay the course and not engage in a financial battle.

He was building a guild based on loyalty, not one swayed by monetary incentives. Those who left for better offers weren't needed in Aether Wing.

Eric was actually grateful to Smile Over Ruins for helping him weed out the uncommitted members.

Tonny was speechless but fully supported Eric's decision. Deep down, he knew increasing benefits would only burden Aether Wing. With Eric's clear directive, his worries eased.
