Chapter 36 Perilous Goblin

Leaving Silent Grove Dungeon, Eric's team hurried towards Darkmoon Valley.

At this stage, many players had reached level 2. Besides going to Silent Grove Dungeon, they were hunting level 2 Stalker Cubs in Brook Hills. Only a handful of experts dared to level up in the level 4 Darkmoon Valley. However, as players continued to level up, Darkmoon Valley would soon be overrun by them.

After spending more than half an hour returning to Darkmoon Valley, Eric confirmed his guess.

Some elite teams, uninterested in dungeons, were farming the wandering level 4 Kobolds on the outskirts of the valley. These elite teams were exceptionally skilled, pulling two or three at a time. The Shield Warrior would tank in the front, preventing the Kobolds from reaching the spellcasters and healers, who would continuously heal from the back, barely keeping the Shield Warrior alive. The rest would go all out on damage. Afterthat, the Shield Warrior would be left with low health, and the healer's mana would be more than a third depleted, forcing them to sit down and rest.

Though this method of farming was resource-intensive, the rewards were equally good. Three Kobolds dropped two copper and some Stone Material.

In Divine Realms: Legends, only monsters level 3 and above could drop skill books and Bronze Equipment. Although the drop rate was one in ten thousand, it still attracted players. Bronze Equipment was very valuable, and skill books were even more worthwhile. With such tempting opportunities, even if it was risky, experts would still flock to this place.

After a quick glance, Eric turned and headed deeper into Darkmoon Valley.

The other team members were quite nervous about the unknown valley, especially seeing the hills covered with level 4 monsters, causing their breathing to quicken. However, Tonny remained calm upon seeing the level 4 Kobolds. After all, he had killed hundreds of them before.

Unlike the other team members who were facing them for the first time, Tonny followed Eric into the depths of the valley without hesitation.

As for the elite teams farming Kobolds, they were surprised to see Eric's team boldly heading deeper into the valley.

Darkmoon Valley had very few players currently and had not been fully explored. The valley was teeming with Kobolds, and the deeper one went, the more Kobolds there were, sometimes forming groups of over ten. Farming there was extremely dangerous, often requiring players to face at least four or five Kobolds at a time. Dying even once would be a significant loss.

Unfortunately, they didn't know that Eric was even crazier than they imagined.

He wasn't just heading deeper into the valley; he was going to the core of Darkmoon Valley, where there was an excellent farming spot. Not only were there plenty of monsters, but they also respawned quickly, and the ore drop rate was high.

Eric was practically an encyclopedia on Darkmoon Valley, knowing exactly where the monsters were, how many there were, and their respawn times. In his past life, he dedicated a significant amount of time studying the valley to enhance his team's farming efficiency, with the goal of elevating his position within the ShadowForge Studios team.

Life was indeed interesting. His actions in his past life for ShadowForge Studios ended up benefiting his current self. Eric could now lead his own team to level up quickly and ensure a steady supply of ores.

The team proceeded along the gravel path, encountering groups of four or five level 4 Kobolds from time to time. However, with Eric's team's equipment, they easily dispatched them.

Guardian Knight Cola could easily tank four Kobolds, and Healing Drowsy Sloth effortlessly kept Cola's health above 80%. If any monsters slipped through, Ezio would tank them while the rest focused on dealing damage. Eric's casual sword strike could deal over a hundred damage, and Tonny's Shadow Bolt hit for 88 damage, making it incredibly easy. In no time, they had cleared out five Kobolds, proving themselves far superior to the elite teams outside.

Eric casually picked up the dropped stone materials and ores, then continued deeper into Darkmoon Valley.

After more than an hour of trekking, Eric's team finally reached several hundred-feet-high mountain. The area around the mountain was filled with Roving Goblins, no longer Kobolds. The Roving Goblins were excavating into the rocky surface of the mountain using small shovels, while several Goblin Overseers, carrying whips, patrolled the area.

"Eric, there are so many monsters here. Are we really going to farm here?" Tonny asked, his heart trembling as he noticed the vast number of Roving Goblins, easily numbering in the hundreds, along with several levels 5 Goblin Overseers. Compared to the scattered Kobolds outside, this place was a battlefield.

Cola swallowed nervously and said, "Eric, I don't want to brag, but my limit is tanking six or seven. I can't handle this many."

Not only Tonny and Cola but the rest of the team were also worried. The mountain was swarming with Roving Goblins, and they were so close together that pulling the wrong one could mean facing hundreds of level 4 monsters, which was far scarier than a lord-level Ferot.

"I know you can't handle that many, but who said you have to tank hundreds of Goblins?" Eric said. He was well aware of their capabilities, knowing that ten at a time was their limit. There was no way they could handle hundreds.

Even level 10 players would be doomed against hundreds of level 4 monsters.

But as the saying goes, if they couldn't beat them, they could run away.

With an agility stat of over 30 and Bronze Level shoes, Eric's movement speed was much faster than the level 4 Goblins. He could easily kite them, while Tonny used his Inferno Blaze area-of-effect skill, making the process much more efficient than solo farming. Eric then shared his plan with the team, instructing Tonny to time his Inferno Blaze for maximum effect while the others focused on finishing off the weakened Goblins.

After choosing a suitable spot, Eric grabbed a handful of stones and rushed towards a nearby Goblin Overseer.

As soon as he got within 60 feet, the Goblin Overseer started shouting, attracting the attention of many nearby Roving Goblins. Eric waited for a moment, skillfully evading the whip of the Overseer and giving the Roving Goblins time to assemble..

Once about 30 Goblins had gathered, he turned and ran to another location, throwing a stone to hit another Goblin Overseer, who also started shouting and led over twenty more Roving Goblins towards Eric.

With nearly sixty monsters in tow, Eric wasn't satisfied yet. He continued kiting around the mountain, and within five minutes, he had gathered hundreds of Roving Goblins and over ten Goblin Overseers, all chasing him.

However, Eric's equipment was too good, and his speed was at least 30% faster than the Goblins. With his exceptional skill and control, he could kite the Goblins however he wanted.

"Tonny, get ready to cast," Eric called out to Tonny in the distance.

"Got it," Tonny replied excitedly. This was his first time using an area-of-effect spell, and he was eager to see its effects.

As his fingers traced glowing runes in the air, a dazzling magic circle formed, radiating immense power.

As Tonny uttered the final syllable, the ground shook, and emerald flames erupted, engulfing the Goblin horde. Damage numbers of over a hundred appeared one after another, totaling to more than two hundred damage within five seconds, reducing the health of hundreds of Goblins by more than half

However, the Goblins' target shifted from Eric to Tonny.

Suddenly, Eric stopped, drew his Abyssal Blade, and charged forward.

"Thunderbolt!"

The level 4 Thunderbolt not only had a shorter cooldown but also increased its range to 45*9 feet, nearly covering the entire Goblin horde.

Three bolts of lightning surged through the Goblin horde, dealing over 120 damage each and finishing off the weakened Goblins. The remaining Goblins were quickly pulled by Cola, and Ezio's Whirlwind Slash finished them off.

All the hundreds of Goblins were dead, leaving behind a pile of loot.

The team's experience points skyrocketed, with dozens of points appearing one after another, dazzling their eyes.

With a whoosh, Tonny leveled up to 3.

"This is awesome!" Tonny shouted excitedly.

"This is just the beginning. They'll respawn soon," Eric said with a smile. "Let's quickly gather the drops."

The team immediately got busy. With hundreds of Goblins' drops, even six people would take a while to collect everything.

But just as they started collecting, a Goblin piloting a giant robot suddenly appeared. The Goblin's face turned crimson, filled with intense anger, as it charged directly towards Eric's team.

"Damn, it's a Perilous Goblin! Scatter!" Eric shouted immediately upon seeing the giant robot.
