Chapter 101 Re-entering Infernal-level

Scarlet's mocking left the members of Eric's Squad with dark expressions. Even Tonny, who liked beautiful women, couldn't stand it. How could Scarlet be so sharp-tongued? He wanted to retort but couldn't find the words.

The Shadowmoon Graveyard dungeon was extremely difficult. Even though Tonny believed in Eric's strength and skills, nobody could guarantee success against so many special elites and elite monsters.

"Why are you staying silent?" Scarlet sneered at Eric, who appeared lost in contemplation.

The members of Devouring Serpents also looked at Eric with disdain. They had already lost hope in Shadowmoon Graveyard. Even Isabella couldn't handle it, so what could a decent beta tester do?

"You are just a beta tester. If you have the skills, lead us through. If not, stop talking."

"They're just a bunch of casual players, all talk and no skills."

The members of Devouring Serpents were proud and supported Scarlet, mocking Eric in various ways. They vented all their despair on him.

"What are you guys saying?"

"If it weren't for Eric, would you still be alive?"

The members of Eric's Squad were furious, ready to fight.

Without Eric's warnings, both MTs would have died. Without MTs as shields, the rest of the team would have perished too. It was a miracle a few had escaped.

As the argument escalated, a deep voice suddenly interjected, leaving everyone stunned and momentarily questioning if they had misheard.

"I've observed the surroundings and the monsters and thought of a way through the misty area. But I wonder if Ms. Collins is willing to hand over command to me?" Eric smiled slightly at Isabella. He didn't mind Scarlet's mockery because it was all part of his plan. From the moment Scarlet started mocking, his goal was achieved. If Scarlet hadn't taken action, how could he seize the initiative?

"If you can lead us through the mist, I have no problem making you the leader."

Isabella's icy expression softened slightly. Passing the dungeon was a good thing. She wasn't petty, but seeing Eric's smile gave her an uneasy feeling, as if everything was under his control.

"Isabella, I was just joking. How can we let this guy lead?" Scarlet panicked. Letting an outsider lead, especially with Devouring Serpents' first Vice President present, would make other top guilds laugh at their incompetence.

"If you have an alternative path, I'm open to it," Eric shrugged, displaying a nonchalant attitude.

Scarlet wanted to persuade Isabella. Her earlier words were just out of anger. If Eric became the leader, the team would fall apart. Who would follow a casual player, no matter how skilled? The guild had an abundance of such individuals.

"Enough. This isn't about pride. Passing the dungeon is the priority. From now on, Kai Blackthorn will command. His words are mine. If anyone disobeys, you know the consequences," Isabella said coldly.

Isabella comprehended Scarlet's concerns, but she wasn't willing to sacrifice the opportunity for the guild to achieve the first clear of the dungeon due to personal pride. That would truly make other guilds laugh at them.

"Fine, I'll listen to you. But if he leads us astray, I won't follow." Scarlet glared at Eric, not believing he could lead them through the mist. She was ready to mock him if he failed.

Seeing Isabella agree, Eric continued, "Since the command is settled, let's talk about distribution. All equipment will be distributed by class, and other items will be auctioned within the team. Is that okay?"

"Kai Blackthorn, don't push it!" Scarlet glared at Eric like an angry tigress.

"Ms. Woods, I'm not taking anything for myself. We're all competing fairly. How is that excessive?" Eric said calmly.

Eric had agreed to Isabella's distribution earlier because he lacked confidence.

He possessed knowledge of the strategy for Shadowmoon Graveyard, but he couldn't divulge it. Even beta testers were unaware of this dungeon's existence since it hadn't been accessible during the beta phase. If he showed knowledge, Isabella and others would be suspicious.

Now that everyone knew about the dungeon, he could pretend to figure out the strategy without raising suspicion.

Even the shrewd Isabella wouldn't suspect he knew the strategy beforehand.

"You..." Scarlet was speechless, feeling Eric was taking advantage.

Isabella didn't hesitate, smiling slightly. "Fine, as long as we pass, I agree to the terms."

"Isabella!" Scarlet couldn't believe her ears. Agreeing so easily, especially with valuable crafting recipes from the dungeon, seemed foolish.

"Enough. Without passing the dungeon, it's all moot. If we pass and get something valuable, we'll buy it. Do you think Kai Blackthorn has more money than us?" Isabella explained softly.

Scarlet realized that Eric couldn't outbid them. In the end, the items would still be theirs.

"Hmph, enjoy your moment." Scarlet felt better, even looking forward to passing the dungeon and getting the recipes to show Eric how foolish his decision was.

"Since I'm in command, let's exit the dungeon and regroup." Eric took out a return scroll and started reading it.

Using a return scroll inside the dungeon would teleport everyone to the entrance, saving time.

Others followed suit, taking out their return scrolls.

With three members dead, the team needed a break.

Outside Shadowmoon Graveyard, numerous guild teams were taking a break, gearing up for another attempt.

Seeing the Ice Goddess team exit the dungeon, they were shocked and hurriedly checked the Honor Board at the entrance.

The Ice Goddess's reputation was immense. Seeing so many exit the dungeon, they thought they might have cleared it. But the Honor Board was still empty, so they relaxed and resumed discussing strategies for Shadowmoon Graveyard.

Ten minutes later, the team was prepared and approached the portal once more.

As the leader, Eric set the difficulty to Infernal-level.

The portal's color changed abruptly, a ghostly head appearing and disappearing, sending chills down their spines.

Before the team could react, they were enveloped in a black light and transported into Shadowmoon Graveyard.

Members of other guilds outside the portal were left in a state of astonishment.

What was going on?

Devouring Serpents had only attempted the normal dungeon once and learned some information about Shadowmoon Graveyard. Were they already challenging the Infernal-level?

Wasn't that too reckless?
