Chapter 341 It Has Come

As soon as Black Flame's face was revealed, every player in Silvervale City recognized him.

"That's Black Flame, the president of Aether Wing!"

"No way, it's him?"

"Now it makes sense why he's so strong."

Members of various guilds couldn't help but feel tense.

If it were just some random player, they might be impressed, but no one could cause a major upheaval in Silvervale City like Black Flame. Not only was he incredibly powerful, but he also had a whole guild backing him.

"You..."

Drunken Madness stared at Eric as he slowly walked over, his eyes nearly popping out of his head, unable to utter a single word.

He was just following orders from his guild president, RogueVortex, to clear out some solo players. He never expected to run into the infamous Black Flame of Silvervale City.

Black Flame had recently taken down RogueVortex in a massive battle. Now, with only a few hundred people by his side, his combat skills far surpassed RogueVortex's. How could DrunkenMadness possibly survive this?

"The president really screwed me over this time," DrunkenMadness thought bitterly.

As for escaping from Eric, DrunkenMadness was proud but not foolish. Eric's previous strike could have killed him, but it didn't.

Why?

It was a clear message: [Taking his life was as easy as reaching into a bag, and it could be done at any moment.]

"I never expected President Black Flame to grace us with his presence. Although I'm certainly no match for you, if President Black Flame wants to kill me, I won't resist. But today, I'm not just representing Darkstar Guild; I'm representing many guilds in Silvervale City. If you do this, you'll be putting Aether Wing against all these guilds," DrunkenMadness said, trying to leverage the support of the numerous guilds behind him.

Despite DrunkenMadness's righteous stance and the backing of many major guilds, Eric's steps did not falter.

"President Black Flame, DrunkenMadness represents many guilds here. If you kill him, you'll be insulting all of us. I hope you consider this carefully," a member of the minor guild Three Hound stepped forward.

"That's right. In Silvervale City, Aether Wing may be powerful, but we're not pushovers. If things get ugly, it won't benefit anyone. President Black Flame, please think it over."

"President Black Flame, let's resolve this peacefully. Both sides should take a step back. There's no need to escalate things; it won't help either side."

"Aether Wing may have five thousand members, but all our guilds combined have over a hundred thousand. Even if Aether Wing is full of experts, can each of them fight twenty people at once?"

With one person stepping forward, other guilds quickly followed suit, offering seemingly friendly advice. But their true intention was to undermine Aether Wing. If Eric backed down today, it would break the guild's accumulated momentum, making it seem like Black Flame had chickened out. Even if these guilds stopped blocking players from joining Aether Wing, those players might be too disappointed to join.

Eric's companions, Turtledove and SwordShadow, were still in shock.

They never expected the stranger who helped them to be the president of Aether Wing.

It was like winning a five-million-dollar lottery in real life. Silvervale City had countless players, and the elusive president of Aether Wing was even harder to encounter. Yet, they had met him.

But hearing the guilds' words made them furious.

"These people are the worst," Turtledove thought, her already low opinion of these guilds sinking even further.

SwordShadow nodded in agreement. This was exactly why he avoided joining these guilds—they were always scheming for their own gain. Today's enemy could be tomorrow's ally, and it was sickening.

Even as outsiders, they could see the guilds' true intentions.

These guilds were clearly in the wrong, blocking players from joining Aether Wing, which was a direct insult. Now, they shamelessly claimed Eric was being excessive, saying it wouldn't benefit either side.

But they had to admit, Aether Wing wasn't strong enough to ignore the combined power of these guilds.

"What will he do?" SwordShadow wondered, watching Eric's every move.

If Eric backed down, Aether Wing would survive but become a laughingstock. If he acted rashly, he'd fall into Darkstar Guild's trap, making enemies of many guilds.

Eric's next move surprised SwordShadow.

Without saying a word, Eric walked up to DrunkenMadness and smiled faintly.

"President Black Flame is reasonable," DrunkenMadness thought, relieved that he wouldn't die.

But in the next second, DrunkenMadness saw a flash of gray light, and everything went dark. His legs gave out, and he collapsed.

"Why?" DrunkenMadness couldn't understand.

Everyone else was equally puzzled. Why did Eric still dare to act?

Didn't he realize the severe consequences?

"It seems you don't understand Aether Wing," Eric said with a light laugh. "We may not be the most impressive guild, but we don't let people bully us without a response."

"You dared to do this, so why is it surprising that I retaliate? Did you think I'd naively let you off?"

Eric's voice was soft, but everyone heard it clearly. Each word struck their hearts like a hammer.

"He's so cool!" Turtledove thought, staring at Eric in awe.

This was the guild she dreamed of, unwavering even in the face of strong enemies.

"Yes, we didn't come here for nothing. Seeing him confirms it—I must join Aether Wing and experience it firsthand," SwordShadow thought, excited.

While SwordShadow and Turtledove were thrilled, the guilds blocking the entrance were far from happy.

"He's crazy, absolutely crazy!"

"He dared to kill someone right in front of us."

"I heard he's loaded with treasures and now has a red name. If we kill him, we'll be rich. Even if he's incredibly skilled, facing so many of us, he'll die. We'll gain fame and fortune."

Though Eric's words and actions had stunned them, they wouldn't let him go now that things had escalated. Killing Eric would bring immense rewards.

"This is bad. They're going to attack," Turtledove said, worried for Eric.

Eric had indeed killed RogueVortex amidst thousands, but that didn't mean he could fight thousands alone. In this crowded space, escape was impossible. Facing hundreds directly meant certain death.

SwordShadow and Turtledove rushed to Eric's side, ready to fight alongside him.

Just as the battle was about to start, explosions sounded outside the teleportation hall, echoing throughout.

Before anyone could understand, more explosions followed, growing louder. The ground shook, and everyone felt it.

"It's here quickly," Eric said, looking at the dusty street outside, a slight smile on his lips.

SwordShadow and Turtledove, closest to Eric, saw his calm demeanor, as if he knew what was happening, and grew curious.

But despite the commotion outside, they were facing hundreds of players. Why was Eric still smiling?
