Chapter 224 Rune of Aurum

In the silent yet scorching forge, the flames burned brightly, smelting solid stones.

The high-level Whetstone of Precision, which was hard to get, was easily made by Eric.

The entire process was smooth and seamless, earning applause from onlookers.

Although repetitive work made Eric feel tedious, the thought of earning 7 silver coins for each piece motivaated him greatly.

In just three short hours, he had already produced 180 pieces, a speed comparable to the efficiency of three or four blacksmiths.

Moreover, without realizing it, Eric's level had risen from 14 to 15, a rate of progress more efficient than ordinary monster hunting.

He took a short break and checked his forging proficiency, which was now at 1253 points.

To advance from an intermediate forging apprentice to an advanced forging apprentice required 3000 proficiency points. With the accumulated points and the current increase, he had already made significant progress.

With just two or three more days of effort, he could quickly advance to an advanced apprentice.

For ordinary players, Eric's rate of improvement was kind of astonishing. So far, there wasn't even a single intermediate forging apprentice in the entire Silvervale City, let alone someone who could become an advanced forging apprentice in just a few days.

Eric's forging skill improvement was at a monstrous level.

'At this rate, if I go all out, I can reach advanced apprentice in at most two days, just in time to learn the advanced Grimoire of Arcana before the trading day. I can make a big profit from Rosewater again,' he estimated roughly in his mind, excited.

Every mutually beneficial transaction with Rosewater had earned him a fortune. If he could make another big profit this time, the issues with his studio would be almost resolved. Then he needed to recruit a large number of core players and establish a solid foundation.

To build a large guild with over ten thousand members, having at least a hundred mid-level core members was essential for management.

Therefore, Eric decided to buy an entire floor to establish his studio, avoiding the need to change locations later and letting these issues limit the guild's development.

"Isabella?" Eric heard the communication prompt and saw that it was Isabella calling.

However, she wasn't looking for Kai Blackthorn but Black Flame. In fact, he also had something to discuss with Isabella.

Eric had previously considered using the Black Flame ID to establish the life guild Celestial Union.

Now the opportunity had come.

He temporarily managed StellarTrails Emporium, owning prime shops in eight cities. With all the materials, workspaces, and sales points needed by life players in place, it was the perfect time to recruit life players and establish Celestial Union. With Isabella's promotion, setting up a life guild like Celestial Union would be a natural progression.

If Celestial Union could be developed, it would be like owning a super gold mine. The guild's development funds and various resources could all come from this life guild.

At that point, Eric wouldn't have to worry about his guild's future.

"Black Flame, are you interested in making a deal?" Isabella's cold voice came directly to the point.

"A deal? What kind of deal do you have in mind? Ms. Collins," Eric asked curiously.

"The StellarTrails Emporium is related to you, so I want to buy Whetstone of Precision from you, especially the high-level Whetstone of Precision. I'll pay in credit points. I'll buy as many as you have," Isabella said.

"Ms. Collins, so you want Whetstone of Precision. Alright, but I need gold coins more right now. If you have a lot of gold coins, I can sell them all to you." Eric didn't deny it. He wasn't surprised that Isabella could guess his connection to StellarTrails Emporium.

Previously, he had walked around StellarTrails Emporium with Anna in his Black Flame persona. Many players had taken videos, and Isabella had seen Black Flame's appearance.

Seeing the video and knowing his title as Eldoria's chief blacksmith, it wasn't hard for Isabella to connect him to StellarTrails Emporium.

"I'll pay three times the credit points," Isabella said, not wanting other guilds to catch up.

"Ms. Collins, no need to say more. We both know the importance of gold coins right now. If you're not sincere, then we can forget about this deal."

"Of course, I have. It's just that I recently purchased a large batch of solid stones, and I don't have any extra gold coins on hand. Otherwise, I would offer five times the credit points," Isabella said helplessly. She knew that Black Flame was backed by a big shot and probably didn't care much about credit points. However, she really had nothing else to trade, so the only option was to increase the credit points.

"Forget the credit points. But don't you have solid stones on hand?" Eric smiled wryly.

If he didn't need to earn 30,000 gold coins within twenty days, he would have agreed to five times the credit points. But gold coins were more important now, as they concerned his future development. So he couldn't compromise. He suggested, "How about we trade for solid stones instead?"

"Trade?" Isabella's stunning face showed a hint of surprise. "What's the exchange rate?"

"That depends on you. If it's a regular Whetstone of Precision, it's four to one. For a high-level Whetstone of Precision, it's nine to one," Eric said indifferently.

"Okay, but I want all high-level Whetstone of Precision immediately," Isabella said after a moment of silence. She thought it was doable, but inwardly she cursed Eric for being so cunning.

He truly lived up to his title as Eldoria's chief blacksmith.

If the guild's blacksmiths were to make them, it would take about four to five solid stones to produce one regular Whetstone of Precision. Eric's rate of four solid stones for one regular Whetstone of Precision was just slightly better than the guild's blacksmiths, so she decided to trade mostly for high-level Whetstone of Precision and leave some for the guild's blacksmiths to increase their proficiency.

"Alright, just go to StellarTrails Emporium and findAnna. She will handle the exchange for you," Eric said with a smile. After that, he hung up and resumed making high-level Whetstone of Precision.

The transaction between Eric and Isabella was just a small episode.

After Isabella exchanged for four sets of high-level Whetstone of Precision, Anna, under Eric's instructions, opened the exchange service to the public. The exchange rates were the same as those mentioned to Isabella, which made many players who were short on money start exchanging frantically, no longer needing to deal with those unreliable apprentices.

This way, StellarTrails Emporium not only solved the material problem but also made a profit, much to the chagrin of many life players.

Two days later.

System: [Congratulations to the player for being the first to advance to an advanced forging apprentice in Divine Realms: Legends. The player is rewarded with five Rune of Aurum and 200,000 experience points.]

"Finally, it's done. The system is really generous, giving out such a rare item as Rune of Aurum." Eric couldn't help but smile upon seeing the system reward.

Rune of Aurum could increase the forging success rate by 10% and had a chance to improve the quality of the items. Compared to Runeforged Steel, which could be upgraded to Mithril level, Rune of Aurum could enhance items to Obsidian Level quality.

But for Eric, the happiest moment was becoming an advanced forging apprentice.

Since his proficiency reached 2000 points, making high-level Whetstone of Precision no longer guaranteed one point of proficiency each time, with a success rate of about 70%. After reaching 2500 points, the success rate dropped to 40%, and after 2800 points, it was only about 20%. It took him two days to finally become an advanced forging apprentice.

After that, Eric immediately took out the advanced Grimoire of Arcana from his backpack.

A golden light shone on him, and the method to create the magical Armor Scales of the Ancients appeared in his mind.

During these two days, Eric had been making high-level Whetstone of Precision in Divine Realms: Legends, continuously improving his forging proficiency. During the day, he continued to exercise and also bought a studio space in the city center.

It cost him 60 million credit points in installments, with a 20 million down payment and the remaining 40 million to be paid off within three months.

Eric still had over 10 million credit points earned from the Silvervale City guide, of which he spent over 5 million to purchase various gaming equipment and other items to complete the studio. This left Eric with over 5 million credit points and a luxurious studio, making him competitive with ShadowForge Studios.

In terms of equipment and environment, his studio was far superior to ShadowForge Studios.
