Chapter 254 The Young Are to Be Feared

"Sure enough, it was Bob's doing."

Eric didn't really care about small fry like Heath; he just wanted to figure out who was targeting him. Now that it was 100% confirmed to be Bob, Heath was useless.

"Alright, save your crocodile tears. I can go up, but you need to explain everything to Otto. Otherwise, you're on your own." Eric kicked the sobbing Heath aside and said calmly.

"How can you do this?" Heath's demeanor changed instantly, as if nothing had happened, but a hint of resentment flashed in his eyes.

Heath had already embarrassed Otto. If he told Otto what had happened, Bob would never let him off, and behind Bob was the even more terrifying Ken. Even if Otto spared him, Bob and Ken wouldn't.

Either choice would leave him in a dire situation.

Eric's approach was ruthless!

"Why can't I do this? I'm just asking you to tell the truth. I just want to know your choice now." Eric smiled faintly, completely unfazed by Heath's venomous look.

You reap what you sow.

After a long while, Heath took several deep breaths, his eyes darting around before he looked at Eric with a malicious glare, clearly having made up his mind.

"I'll agree to your terms, but you have to let me join the Guild of Aether Wing," Heath said.

"It seems you still don't understand your situation. You want to negotiate with me? Let me tell you, you have two choices: tell the truth or don't. But my personal advice is to tell the truth; at least Otto might spare you now." Eric frowned slightly and said, "My patience is limited. You have three seconds to decide."

"Fine, I'll talk." Heath quickly made up his mind. Compared to Bob and Ken, he feared Otto more because Otto's influence was too vast.

Eric then followed the bodyguard into the building and took the elevator to the 36th floor.

Eric's arrival drew a lot of attention.

Otto's anger had already made many people aware of what had happened, and they were curious about the person Otto had invited, so they all wanted to see him.

Led by the bodyguard, Eric and the others arrived in front of Otto and his group.

When the unremarkable Eric, dressed in a black tracksuit, stood before them, everyone widened their eyes and began to scrutinize him, trying to find something different.

But they were disappointed; his attire and demeanor were utterly ordinary.

"Eric, what are you doing here?" Bob was surprised. He had intended to get closer to Ken, but he didn't expect Eric to get in, which was beyond his expectations.

"There's always an exception, isn't there?" Eric responded with a smile.

"Eric, it's great that you're here. I was just about to go down and find you." Katherine was delighted to see Eric. If Ken hadn't held her back, she would have left the boring party long ago.

However, Ken, sitting nearby, heard Katherine and his face darkened. Katherine had been pestering him to let Eric come up, which had infuriated him. He couldn't believe this mediocre guy had actually made it up here.

"I already told them not to let him in. How did he get in?" Ken was full of questions, unaware that Eric was the Guild of Aether Wing representative Otto had invited.

"Young man, have a seat. I'm Otto, the current president of Evergreen University." Otto stood up slightly and introduced himself formally to Eric.

"Eric, senior at Evergreen University," Eric replied softly.

"You're a student at our university? It's truly impressive to become a mid-level manager at the Guild of Aether Wing at such a young age." Otto was surprised. He didn't think Eric held a high position in the guild, but anyone with the authority to recruit was usually a mid-level manager. To become a mid-level manager in a mysterious guild before even graduating was considered a success in the eyes of ordinary people, far surpassing most students present.

Otto's friendly attitude and praise made John and Ken slightly moved. They didn't expect Otto to praise such an unremarkable junior so highly. They wondered if they had misheard.

Even the most promising student at Evergreen University, Lucas, had only received a "not bad" from Otto...

They were surprised that someone like Eric was a mid-level manager in a guild, but it didn't seem worth Otto's high praise. After all, Otto was a prominent figure in Evergreen City.

However, Otto saw potential in Eric, especially his calm demeanor, which was unusual for someone so young.

If Otto hadn't met countless people in his life, he wouldn't have noticed Eric's uniqueness.

Being chosen as a mid-level manager by a powerful guild at such a young age indicated that the guild recognized Eric's abilities. It wouldn't be long before he entered the upper echelons, which is why Otto was so courteous.

"Mr. Carter, you're too kind," Eric smiled.

After a few words with Eric, Otto turned his attention to the trembling Heath and asked coldly, "Speak, what happened?"

Otto's voice was low but filled with pressure, scaring Heath into not daring to hide anything.

"It was all Bob's idea. He said Mr. Carey didn't want Eric bothering Katherine. I was misled by his words, so I didn't register Eric." Heath couldn't care less now and directly pointed at Bob, accusing him.

Everyone's eyes immediately turned to Bob.

Bob felt immense pressure.

At this moment, Bob felt powerless, almost suffocating, not knowing what to say. Speaking up would offend someone, and he hadn't expected Eric to have the backing of the Guild of Aether Wing.

"If you have nothing to say, please leave. The Golden Coast Gala doesn't welcome you." Otto's voice deepened, and it was clear to everyone that he was angry.

Two strong bodyguards approached Bob, clearly intending to escort him out.

"Otto, please wait a moment," Ken suddenly spoke up.

Standing next to Ken were two major shareholders of ShadowForge Studios, Jack and Lucas.
