Chapter 345 Storm Domain

"Hey, check it out! There's a monster over there!"

"Whoa, it's a huge mechanical giant! How does a level 50 Overlord have 40 million health points?"

"This has gotta be the toughest Overlord I've ever seen. I wonder what kind of loot it'll drop when we take it down. At least an Adamantite Artifact, right?"

"Are you serious? This is clearly an elite Overlord, way stronger than a regular high-level one. If a high-level Overlord can drop Adamantite Artifacts, an elite one should drop Obsidian Level items."

"Obsidian Level items? There are barely any of those in all of Eldoria."

A crowd of players had gathered in Silvervale City. The streets around the teleportation hall were packed with people, all eager to take on the Mechanical Slaughterer.

They were treating the Mechanical Slaughterer like a wild boss that could be taken down at will.

However, none of the players from the Guild of Aether Wing were present. Eric had already ordered that no one was to come. It wasn't that Eric wasn't interested in the loot from the Mechanical Slaughterer; he just knew that any player who came would be walking into a death trap.

"President RogueVortex, our people are here."

"Good. Now the Mechanical Slaughterer is ours. Have everyone spread out. No melee fighters are allowed to get close to the Mechanical Slaughterer. Long-range attackers should hit from the maximum distance. Let the others die trying. As for the rest of the melee fighters, go kill BlackFlame. Don't let him escape."

RogueVortex was shocked by the Mechanical Slaughterer's power, especially since it had killed the invincible guards. But such a powerful monster also meant huge rewards.

Darkstar Guild had only a few thousand members, but reinforcements were on the way. Along with other guilds and solo players in Silvervale City, the total number of players would exceed 200,000.

Even if each player only dealt 1 point of damage, and most of those were dodged or blocked, the sheer number of players meant that the Mechanical Slaughterer couldn't last long.

And Silvervale City's guards weren't limited to just a few hundred. More would be sent in waves, making the Mechanical Slaughterer's defeat inevitable. The only question was who would get the loot.

Meanwhile, other guilds were also mobilizing.

Having seen the Mechanical Slaughterer's strength, these guild players knew to attack from a distance. The rest focused on capturing Eric. Only the newly arrived players, unaware of the situation, rushed in to face the terrifying Mechanical Slaughterer.

"RogueVortex really cares about me. Even now, he's sending so many people to hunt me down," Eric said, standing on a rooftop, observing the situation. "If they want to come, let them come in full force."

Eric then quickly moved towards the Darkstar Guild's army.

Although the Mechanical Slaughterer was bombarded with magic and arrows, most of these attacks missed, dealing only 1 point of forced damage. So, the Mechanical Slaughterer's main target remained Eric.

With many players in the way, the Mechanical Slaughterer began swinging its sword, killing swathes of players with each strike. The sight chilled every player to the bone.

But these players also slowed the Mechanical Slaughterer's pursuit, allowing Eric to easily widen the gap.

As Eric approached the Darkstar Guild members, they all sneered.

"BlackFlame must be out of his mind. Instead of running away, he's coming right at us. Does he want to die faster?"

"Even better. Saves us the trouble of chasing him."

But as the Darkstar Guild members mocked Eric, RogueVortex shouted angrily in the guild channel.

"You idiots, run!"

"Get away from BlackFlame! Don't let him get close to you!"

The Darkstar Guild members were confused. They had been ordered to surround and kill Eric, and now they were being told to run.

But RogueVortex's warning came too late. Eric had already reached the Darkstar Guild members, with the Mechanical Slaughterer right behind him.

Eric used Silent Stride to teleport 20 yards away to another player, dodging the Mechanical Slaughterer's sword strike.

After several quick dodges, nearly a thousand Darkstar Guild members lay dead, leaving only a few stunned survivors.

RogueVortex trembled with rage. Over a thousand members had died just like that.

RogueVortex couldn't understand why the Mechanical Slaughterer was so fixated on Eric. What had Eric done? Long-range attacks on a fast-moving target like Eric were nearly impossible, and any melee fighter who got close was killed by the Mechanical Slaughterer. If the Mechanical Slaughterer's aggro didn't shift, Eric was like a ticking bomb.

But RogueVortex couldn't stop Eric.

Despite their numbers, the Darkstar Guild couldn't pin Eric down. If just one person could hold Eric for a moment, he would have been dead already.

RogueVortex realized how crucial top-tier players were to a guild.

Even with thousands of soldiers, their impact in such a battle was far less than that of a top-tier player.

"Damn it, BlackFlame, you bastard!" RogueVortex cursed, watching his guild members die one by one. His outburst shocked everyone.

The mighty president of the Darkstar Guild, reduced to cursing like a fishwife, showed just how desperate and angry RogueVortex was.

Other guild leaders watching this scene didn't laugh. Their faces were grim.

They were in the same boat as the Darkstar Guild. If Eric was targeting the Darkstar Guild now, they knew they would be next. There was no reason to be happy.

"Should we apologize to President BlackFlame?"

"Are you kidding? If we, so many guilds, bow to Aether Wing, how will we survive in Silvervale City?"

"But if we don't, what if he comes after us next?"

"Wait, look over there. More guards are coming. While the guards deal with the Mechanical Slaughterer, we can team up to take down BlackFlame. We have so many people. No matter how strong BlackFlame is, how long can he last? Once BlackFlame is dead, Aether Wing will lose its momentum and won't become a dominant force. Then we can rise."

Seeing hundreds of guards intercepting the Mechanical Slaughterer, the guild leaders agreed. BlackFlame's death would be a severe blow to Aether Wing's prestige. For these minor guilds to rise, they couldn't let any guild gain absolute dominance. With Aether Wing on the rise, they had to act now.

So, the guilds ordered everyone to focus on killing Eric.

Seeing the guards attacking the Mechanical Slaughterer and the guilds mobilizing, Eric frowned, sensing trouble. He turned and ran towards the Mechanical Slaughterer, avoiding the guild members.

Soon, the guilds had Eric and the Mechanical Slaughterer surrounded. The guild members were smart, attacking from a distance and slowly closing in, forcing Eric to retreat.

As Eric neared the Mechanical Slaughterer's 30-yard range, the Mechanical Slaughterer's health dropped to 80%. Suddenly, its eyes glowed red, and it plunged its serrated sword into the ground.

Eric knew what the Mechanical Slaughterer was about to do.

This was its ultimate move, Storm Domain, covering over 100 yards. Even a level 50 first-tier guard would die instantly. Eric had barely escaped it before using his flight ability.

Eric smiled and quickly switched to the Ring of Illusion, activating the Illusion Realm.
