"Borrow someone?" Eric was puzzled. Devouring Serpents had plenty of top players; they shouldn't be short on manpower.
"Yes, I need Kai Blackthorn," Isabella confirmed. "I'll offer five million credits as compensation."
"Borrow Kai Blackthorn?" Eric almost lost his balance. What was Isabella thinking?
Borrowing Kai Blackthorn meant borrowing him.
When did he become so valuable that the Ice Goddess would offer five million credits for his help?

FlameDancer, Rosewater, Violet Mistflow, and Cola had potential, especially Violet Mistflow, whose progress was rapid. Without his decade of experience in Divine Realms: Legends, he might have been surpassed already.
"If they can't match Kai Blackthorn's strength, it won't work," Isabella said, disappointed but understanding. "Eric, how long will Kai Blackthorn's mission take?"
Eric estimated that his class change quest would take three to five days.
"About five days," Eric replied conservatively.
"Five days?" Isabella frowned, contemplating before asking, "Eric, are you sure five days will be enough?"
"Yes," Eric confirmed.
Eric sensed that Isabella had made an important decision.
"Then I'll trouble you, Eric. I'll transfer the five million credits to your account immediately," Isabella said, relieved by Eric's assurance. She thanked him and ended the call.
